I am on 4.4.4 with 1st march purity and r191 franco. When selecting color profiles using franco kernel updater app and turning on and off screen, the screen colors become very white washed regardless of what profile i choose. I think this happened when i updated the app a few days ago. Can someone please help me fix this problem
I recall Franco saying that he completely reworked the colour profile code and so the current profiles are incompatible and will need to be updated for the new code, otherwise they will not work. He says it in the Franco kernel thread, just read the last few pages and the Original Post.

I'm on trinity's kernel and his app doesn't have the color option. What app do you guys recommend to use for color control?

Hi,
Trinity kernel ( so his app TKT) have color options (RGB), it's under "tunables"/"RGB Color Adjustement"...
If you mean Gamma settings, if I'm right it's not supported yet... (in the app for sure, in the kernel not sure).
In any case with some apps like Faux123 Kernel Enhancement or Francisco Kernel Updater it does not work.
And also just looked in sys/class/misc and module, nothing related to Gamma control so or i'm blind or I don't know where to search...
On the contrary, franco kernel updater color tuner works now. The color sticks after reboot and all.

Hey! I've recently switched to Franco but want to switch back to Trinity. One problem... Franco gives me deep, amazing colors that I cannot leave...
Is it possible to take the presets I have for Franco kernel and port them to match Trinity color settings so that it looks the same on Trinity...
Here are the settings
- RGB MULTIPLIERS
Red:230
Green: 225
Blue: 240
- GAMMA SETTINGS
Red/Green/Blue (all the same):
Greys(0), Mids (87), Blacks (119), Whites (0)
Misc Gamma Settings:
Contrast(6), Brightness(0), Saturation(87)

Ahhh that's what you meant, I already own FKU and TKT , but the kernels use different methods to set gamma (kind of). Luckily Trinity and Franco have very similar color settings it was easy to bring over my current colors
Just to clarify I wasn't looking for an app to set this stuff. I wanted someone to port over the Franco colors I was using over to settings that would match for Trinity settings

Oh, I see. Yeah, I don't think there would be a way to directly convert Franco values into trinity, you'd have to just experiment. But I do find that franco_my_profile (if I remember correctly) looks really good on Trinity too, even if it it doesn't look identical to what it does on Franco kernel.

I have tried using trickster mod, but it just has the unnamed profile, it doesn't allow me to select any others. Is there a way I can load a profile to it?

Trinity 4.3 is in its early releases. Wait for the first nightly/release.
I don't use trinity, but its probably best to ask that question in the original trinity thread as for all I know, color support could be missing (or in there, like I said again, I dont use the kernel).
Thanks @zephiK

basic color control(R,G,B) can be done with the trinity kernel toolbox, via file manager/terminal, or any app that supports the basic color changes already built into the base code. theres no deeper tweaking yet.
Hi there...
I have been using CM since my old HTC Desire. I really like that rom.
Now I am using 10.2 nightlies with the N4. But I am really tired of the deadlocks.
Today I tried installing Purity based on JWR, no dead locks. But there are things that keeps me using CM, for example:
Advanced brightness control (CM has it own app to control brightness, AUTO levels and all that stuff).
Quick settings in the notification area
Fully translated into Spanish (I know English, but I like my rom running in Spanish)
Theme chooser
cClock
I haven't been able of finding a JWR rom with all that options. In conclusion I would be happy with a JWR CM .
I appreciate your recommendations!
Things I don't use: PIE and extended desktop, I don't care about that.

I checked some of the features and you seem to be right. The only problem I see is the lastest version doesn't work with Franco kernel which I use!! I will have to try..
Any other suggestion ?

Slimbeam is really good. The only I see is that the translations are not ready yet.but everything else seems good.
I hope cm team fixes the deadlocks and Franco makes his kernel slimbeam compatible...

Hello everyone,
I am searching for an app, that allows me to switch off CPU cores of my Nexus and do decide how much min core and how much max cores will work. I can't find such settings in SetCPU.
Does anybody know such an app?
Use trickstermod.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
You will need trickster mod, aswell as a custom kernel with a configuarable hotplug system or eco mode.
I would recommend Franco Kernel Updater app along with franco kernel itself.
You can tweak how many cores come online when you touch the screen , max and min frequencies , screen color adjustments (Recommended values from obsanity is amazing!) , everything you would ever think of to tweak in a kernel manually , is scripted in this app.
It's highly recommended , you wouldn't be disappointed with it.

Thank you guys! I will give franco kernel a try, with the corresponding app. Because I want to try undervolting as well.
The nightly r183 seems to be the latest for 4.3 (I am running the Stock ROM). Does it have any discovered bugs?
If you want to make your device for example 2 cores on only franco kernel won't work you will need a kernel like: neo, matr1x or faux and use trickster mod (or for faux you can use faux enhancement project) apps and go in hotplug settings
