Q: How to set owner information

I've had a Galaxy Tab (Bell Mobility) for about 2 weeks now and have been unable to figure out how to set the owner information. I'm getting tired of seeing "This phone belongs to: ---" when I wake it up.

I just found out where to edit this text, for me it was in the AVG Antivirus settings for my tab and suspect that it is the same on yours.
I located it under Settings/Remote Management/Lost Message for the AV.
Hope this works for you to.

Thank you for this information - it certainly answered the annoying question for me!!

New Firmware Update - 25/07/12

I just downloaded a new firmware, it's just over 27mb
Firmware Version I9300XXLG6
I have a manufacturer unbranded model on Orange UK
Redraw issue still exists.
It changed my keyboard back to default Samsung keyboard
Also default browser layout has changed

Firmware number please?

just got my update. I think my phone is running more snappy but It could be just a placebo
it's nice to have regular updates makes me feel like Samsung are working hard to polish the device and improve it

Even I got the update but it failed over OTA. Will update via Kies.

are you using a debranded firmware???

It does seem a little snappier mostly notice it when I bring up recent apps and swipe them away before it use to be slow now is fast

Not that I used the local search much but it sucks that Samsung is removing it when there was no need for it.

Apple patent forced them to do this i believe. Software is defo slicker now. Good work samsung. Just bring us jelly bean now!

Well hacked off local search gone and no warning. Used it a lot too. This patent crap is well out of hand imo

Virus in ongoing,notification Tab? Chinese/korean writing?

How Do i get rid of this?

one of the apps known to push out ads in Chinese is DX Snake Battery...do you have that app installed? or heck, do you have any Chinese apps installed?

So I looked in my root browser and it was in a folder called hack..

Screen Recording

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me find the screen recording feature. I think it would be a great addition to my note taking. Specifically, I think it used to be called sketch record or something like that. I believe it used to function out of the S-note application. the little red button. Any help is much appreciated.

Also, I thought I'd add that when I first got the tablet this option was in S-note, however after that OAU (over-the-air-update) I cannot seem to find it for the life of me.

LectureNotes has an addon that allows you to record the screen in the app. I've never tried it, but it might be what you're looking for.

In S Note, when you're editing a note, try hitting the menu button and hit Record Sketching.

Oh wow, I feel stupid overlooking that. I looked everywhere but the right place. Personally I think it should be docked icon like the eraser and pen and such , like it was in the note 10.1. Thanks guys.

Samsung music app

Hi guys, does anybody know if there's a way to change letters that you tap and they take you to a song? Cuz system language on my sgs4 is Russian but all my songs are English and so the letters in music app are Russian and I can't use them to get to scroll to a song
P.s. changing the system language isn't a good idea, cuz I use Google now and maps, and all the streets get translated into English which is not really convenient

It looks like I found the solution, I tapped and held the English letters which were at the bottom and the letters went up
