HTC ONE GPE and Sense TV Service - One (M7) General

I don't know if others have realised this or if its old news.
But if you have GPE running on your M7, you can run the Sense TV Remote.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.htc.sense.hsp
You just need those two files.
I'm running 4.4.4 from a 4.4.2 RUU conversion.
I bought a non HTC remote ages ago but always preferred the HTC version.
Enjoy if you didn't know.

I noticed it out on the Play Store a few days ago and installed it. It required the install of HTC Services, straight from the Store as well. Worked great on GPE 4.4.4.

Unable to update old apps but can download new ones.

I am experiencing this funny issue. I have been unable to update any of my old apps that show updates available. I am able to download new apps though. On trying to update, the download completes successfully but I get an "update unsuccessful" notification.
Anyone else experiencing the same problem. Started on the 18th of november for me.
My phone it's non rooted stock desire hd with latest firmware.

i'm sure it is a HTC problem, not an android problem
It's a Market issue. The 18th is when the Market went down for six hours for a huge maintenance upgrade. They are still working out bugs. Hopefully they will all be fixed soon.
OK. Then I'm going to sit tight then. Anyone rooted their htc desire hd.
I know that with the g1 and previous devices rooting meant that you had to install a custom rom and ota updates will no longer be received. Is it the same with the desire hd.?. Are there any good roMs out there, what extras features do they provide.
Just point me to them and I'd look at them myself.

I am still experiencing this. Anyone still getting it out managed to solve theirs.

If you are rooted, then you can just flash on the newer libs and GTalk app versions.
That said, currently the _ONLY_ phones with the new GTalk with Video are the Nexus S and Nexus S 4G. _NO OTHER PHONES HAVE IT_ Everybody else who has it either had it built into their custom ROM or GApps builds, or they flashed it on themselves.
So if you are waiting for it to show up on a stock update, be prepared to wait a long time.

Not sure if Paul has fixed the GTalk Video app he supplied for the Play and others, the changes it makes to build.prop killed some of the apps on my handset. had to restore to get them working again.
make sure you have a full back up before running it!

Has anybody gotten the Google Play update yet?

For some reason, my tablet hasn't gotten the newest google play update yet. My samsung galaxy player has it. Is it just me? I am still running honeycomb.

You must have Android 3.2.1, the marketupdater is in that version

I know this doesn't have input to your question, but why have you not gone to ICS yet? Just curious...
Got the new market today.
And, yes, ICS is the way to go. Don't let the bootloader talk worry you. It is a fairly straightforward & well documented process. Your tablet will thank you for it.
I downloaded the apk yesterday. No big changes other than magazines

I got it today, I am excited to buy a couple of movies!
In Belgium we can't buy anything from the play store
Which part of Belgium are you living in?
Tax-paying North can do so without a problem. ....
Marcher
In Flanders, the only thing that we could buy from the play store are apps but no books or movies etc.
Well I finally got it, I don't know why it took so long....

[Q] Stable version of Flash

Hello guys I am looking for stable version of Flash for my nexus 4 running 4.2. Is there a stable version that will work with out flickering black screen when I use Firefox. Do I have to root my phone to get it
Any help would be great.

Im using this.... got no problems...
Currently watching the West Ham Chelsea game
Hmm. I downloaded and installed that on my first N4 and it worked flawlessly; I had no problems watching videos on cnn.com with Firefox. However, since then I have replaced that N4 with another -- the camera LED was non-functional on the first one -- and also received the update for 4.2.1. Now when I play cnn.com videos, I get sound but no video. I'm not sure what's responsible for that change -- cnn.com, the hardware, or the new version of Android. Anyone have any ideas?
I'm trying to install flash on 4.2.1. I can't get it to install. Maybe Google blocked it with some changes?

Right. CNN is the only site I visit regularly that uses Flash, but I tracked down another site and tried it and it worked. The funny thing is that CNN worked for me last week, and it was a bit too coincidental that it worked on my first N4 but not on my second for me to think it was something that CNN changed on their site. I guess maybe it was, though. Thanks for the reply.

Unable to find camera awesome on Google play.

I have purchased camera awesome from Google play few months ago but now I noticed that I am no longer able to even find it. I am on purity rom 4.4.1. Problem is, my friend is on the same rom but he can find it with no problem on Google play. Only difference is he's not purchased it. Anything I might have missed? I tried emailing the Dev but there's no reply.

It's probably a region issue. Follow this link on your phone https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smugmug.android.cameraawesome&hl=en It will probably tell you that it isn't compatible with your nexus 4 for some reason. I normally find that this happens when I've recently updated my ROM to the latest version and the dev hasn't had a chance to catch up yet, but if your friend is on the same ROM I'm not sure why it would happen.

Did you change your phone dpi? It normally makes some apps incompatible with your phone which means even if you search they don't show up. Go back to stock dpi reboot. May be dirty flash the rom and you might find your app
I LOVE MY SLUTTY N4
Alright Changed back my dpi and it worked. Thanks guys!
