Any chance of getting my external wifi USB to work

No, if you mean a WiFi USB dongle it won't work.
Why did you ask for this stupid question? The LG G2 has perfect internal WiFi connectivity.
Not really a stupid question is it if your using for Kali....
I can pick up far more with my Alfa card which is use connectivity than any other adapter or WiFi card in a phone
And the g2 is far more portable than my laptop

Trying to get my phone connected to my a500 via USB cable. The nexus1 recognizes that it is connected and i can turn on USB storage, but the a500 doesnt seem to see the phone at all (nothing shows up in /mnt/usb_storage).
anyone have any luck doing this?
I tried that, no luck.
Also not having luck with my EVO, if anybody can get this working would love to know.
Same problem with my nexus s. USB storage and teathering and storage don't work so I'm forced to wifi teather. Would love to be able to charge my phone and share 3g with my tab.

Huawei E1750 work fine! (Italy)
... and you do what?
You just plug usb 3g dongle in (with sim card of course) and it works?
Do you need any special program?
How do you connect to carrier?
Thanks for good info
I don't have the answer for your question but in case you can't find one and your device has wifi capabilities, you can tether it to your iconia

Go to settings and set up a new APN according to your mobile provider. And then should work.

So when out of WiFi area I've previously just tethered my old tablet to my phone and used the phones data connection via the dial up networking profile. I can't for the life of me figure how to do this on the N10. Any ideas?

I can't answer your question, but why not just use the wifi hotspot?
Unless of course you are using a phone that does not have that feature ...

Fair question. Two reasons really, 1) some Telco providers and/or devices don't support it, and 2) it usually doesn't work internationally whereas tethering using DUN does.

OK I bought the Samsung tab 3 8.0 because of the bigger screen and bigger bang for ur buck, it sucks VERY LITTLE support compared to the nexus 7.
I was really mad when the top person on the forms said that the divers did not support monitor mode at all.
So my question is could I use an external WiFi chip with USB otg and have it connect/ go into monitor mode?
Probably getting Alfa AWUS036NHA
Power for otg is not a problem

it is so problematically.
1. u already have wifi on ur tab. why do u need an external wifi.
2. u need an app (splashtop, teamviewer supporT.. ) that support ur idea.
it will be a little bit laggy cause of digital transfer and up to ur wifi speed.
maybe something like that
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/ukO_IZ7rygw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
u need a adapter like mhl but only reverse that can be used the function like dslr.
u see it is very complicated.
On the note 2 you can you use a rlt8187 USB adapter with otg and monitor mode and aircrack works!
