Hello, I was just wondering if it is possible to switch the antenna of the international model with the US model so that my G2 would be compatible with the LTE bands in the US. I know its hardware and just not a modem flash. I'm just tired of the super-high pings from HSPA+:crying:
Is it possible? And if the antenna isn't the part to change the frequencies, which part could I swap out to do just that?

Hello,
I have been reading about HTC Vision Radio around posts here (For both the G2 and the D-Z).
I saw that that the hardware specs for the Radio bands are different between the 2 models and that people can actually flash the Radios from both models into the G2 device (Which I own).
Considering I use an Israeli operator that has 3G network only (known that its bands are 850/2100 here), My question is - Does updating the Radio for my device is actually controlling the bands I can use with it ???
In other words, The main Radio circuit supports all bands and then the Radio Firmware locks it to use the specific band for the specific operator ? (i.e. T-Mobile) ...
I would love to know if that's true, so I definitely need to upgrade/update to a working Radio for my operator since I know right now I'm using only the 2100 Band and I'm getting real reception issues.....
Thanks in advanced,
Amir.
You're asking whether changing radios can change the bands used by the device for calling/data? If so than no it can't, flashing a different radio can't change a Tmo G2 to use at&t 3g bands etc... That's pure hardware.

hi
i have here few PCS of S5630L
its same phone but bands are not the same.
HSDPA 7.2 850/1900MHz
anyone think it can be changed via software ? or its a hardware issue ?
if so can i change bands filters ?
thx
anything ? anyone ?
it can never be done,
it is the internal radio which transmits and receives frequencies,
which is a hardware thing,
if i got you correctly S530L is CDMA and you want a GSM band

This model is not cdma, irs gsm model fits to some countries like brazil and argentina.
so this phone works only on quad gsm 2g network with no, but on 3g networks it works only on 850/1900 and i need 2100
On older nokia phones we changed anttena duplexer and bands filters and it did the job.
On newer phone like i9000 we can change bands via programing menu.
I just wonder if it can be done even with hardware changes.
Thanks
Anyone ??

I have to replace my screen on my phone, and I figured in the meantime I might have a look at my frequency band, I am using the Chinese model of the oneplus 2 and I am just wondering is it possible to change it into the European model to pick up better signals over here by changing the antenna in the phone itself or would that work?
