And what abt 4.4.4
Nd any chances to get android l update in future
HELLO
Thanks... But here is for original development
Well you shouldn't be posting this, in android development only those ROMs are posted which are created by OP, and you are just copy pasting Motorola's work. These are not made by you in any way. So reporting.
Gogeta I don't find it to be bad in any means. So chill.

well he was talking about posting this thread in development section . this is no development. that's why now its moved to general by moderators. thread was created in development section. So dont get confused Besides this thread still might be kinda pointless. as there is already a firmware thread which will ofcourse have updates of stocks. no point in making such threads. but nvm.
Update V.4.4.4 Is live on MOTO E..!
Guys after a big wait.... Update is live..!
What changes you all can spot just reply me..! I saw only Contacts updated and also the Notification Panel's 2nd SIM disappeared..!

[XT1068] [5.0.2] [Lollipop] [Official] [OTA Capture]
Greetings my friends
Motorola released OTA update for Indian users of XT1068. Only a selected people have got this update. After searching for many hours I managed to get the link of the captured OTA zip . The OTA upgrades your 4.4.4 to 5.0.2.
Now here is the thing. I cannot confirm whether its working or not. My Internet connection is unstable since this week. I am unable to download the zip. I request the concerned users to download the zip and check the build.prop of the zip to confirm. I will download as soon as my Internet becomes okay.
For those who want to install the OTA. You have to unroot the device and be on stock 4.4.4 firmware
-Download the zip.
-Place the zip in the root of your internal storage. (not in any folder)
-Go to Settings > About Phone > System Updates.
-The phone will detect the zip and then from there update to Lollipop.
Please give your feedback below so that I will know whether the OTA is working or not.

P.S. I hope you have read the post completely. I am not responsible if anything happens to your device. Incase if anything happens you can restore your phone back to 4.4.4 by flashing the older firmware

You can't just go ahead and make a thread in the Android Development section. You didn't even try it yourself. What are you even doing here. If you have hunches like these, please post them on a Notepad on your computer or Google Keep on your phone.
Well I got something really strange. Look at my screenshot. This just happened a few minutes ago.
Seems like the system is like upgrading progressively and automatically!!!!!!!
Look at the menu, it's white!
I swear I haven't done anything.

This is just the New Google Now Launcher, i got it yesterday with the 21.11.23 update. This isn't Lollipop, just KitKat 4.4.4
This is an issue with dev-host. They have ads which pop up and disguise themselves as the download - but end up being spam/trojan/malware.
Removing the download link and @sharkymyn can find a new host.

Closing this thread, modifying the thread title, and moving out of development.
Just got a little surprise when I woke up today. Checked my notifications and Pushbullet had advised about some new apps posted in APKMirror. The most important of all is an update for MotorolaOTA, which probably means they're going to do a major rollout of Lollipop soon. Hopefully.
Here are the the links for downloading the apps. The website is safe, by the way. I'm installing everything right now, it's all working as it should.
Motorola Gallery 304100
Motorola Camera 5.0.7.1
Motorola Help 1.4.32
Motorola Update Services 7.0.1
Motorola Contextual Services 5.18.063

I'm using a XT1068, Brazil também.
I installed the Camera, Contextual Services and the Motorola Update Services, no update yet. =/
Hopefully we'll get it still this week.

I believe its something about OTAs, because they updated the same service before rolling the first soak test for 5.0
Just so you know, if you don´t mind having your bootloader unlocked, you can have the oficial OTA right now.
Moto app is not installing because it's only for Moto X.
Hopefully these updates mean that there'll be a major rollout in the next few days.

I see they've updated camera apk.
Maybe camera api v2?

Is it the same version as the twrp backups? I'm on 5.0.2 restored from a twrp backup...
No. The link i posted is for the oficial OTA, requires stock firmware and stock recovery.
Its not a twrp backup.
Been using it for almost 2 days now and só far so good.
Battery is lasting a lot longer than it was in the 5.0 twrp backup i was using before.

Does anyone received the updates through Play Store?
I received update to Motorola migrate in Google play store. I'm from Poland
Send by Moto G2 xt1068
I also received, but only for Motorola Migrate. I am from Germany. The other apps haven't received an update yet.
I don't think so,, they have updated it for compatibility isusses and little bit graphics change ,its all due for global moto Lolipop release .,, as far as Moto G camera 2 api ,, it doesn't and willnot support many features of camera 2 API,, there other application like L Camera and Manual camera don't support Moto G even with 5.0.2

And why can´t you post that in the Firmware thread ?
This has nothing really to do with development ?
I guess you are not an Motorola official right, or in any case related to Motorola, to bring us fixes or tell them what´s not working and so on ?
If every country get its OTA and you make for every OTA an own thread... how pointless is that ?
No offense but this section is for custom ROM development mainly and not just for simple firmware updates without active support, IMO ^=^

It's better than talking about this in CM12 thread like they were. I find that extremely disrespectful. You get somebody willing to put that much work into our device and then people like this were posting in his thread with instructions on stock 5.1, which will be crap regardless. You can upgrade a turd all you want, it will still be a stock turd.

You won't have a bricked device (The firmwares, between the XT1039, XT1040 etc. seem to be interchangable), the modem of the device won't work however. Meaning that whatever variant of the peregrine (aside from the XT1040) you flash this on, you'll only have WiFi functional

To those that plan on or have already updated to Marshmallow on the S5. You HAVE or WILL lose modding compatibility due to a/n security update Samsung implemented into the new Marshmallow Bootloader. This is unfortunate for all of the modding community of MULTIPLE Samsung devices. Hopefully, we can overcome this breach in personal security and allow modding once again on our devices. This update was RELEASED on: April 18th, 2016. It is known as the CPCA update for the "Samsung Galaxy S5". Modders beware of this update, and once again, DO NOT UPDATE YOUR DEVICES!
Important Notes:
Do not update your device...

I can confirm this on my Sprint Galaxy S5. Since flashing official 6.0.1 via odin, I have not been able to boot a custom rom. :crying:

Yes multiple of users have tried downgrading to 5.0, but it refuses to do so. Looks like we are stuck with Marshmallow until there is some sort of exploit in the system. Will OK4 Work to downgrade the device. Does this also flash Bootloader?
WTH dude... you only open unwanted threads.. This one and anothers threads with rom's that not even work.
There ins't any problem with MM bootloader (I use a custom ROM with MM bootloader) and almost every custom roms don't work because they are based on LL blobs.
I will report you because I see too much threads open by you that don't have any contribution for the forum and members.

Dude, you were spot on! I flashed over OK4 bootloader and modem in Odin, then booted to recovery and flashed Bliss 6.0.1 rom and it worked!!!
After updating my Sprint Galaxy S5 to MM 6.0.1, my phone shuts down and reboots every time I uninstall an app. In addition, I no longer have access to the APN folder that allows me to use my MSL to modify and access the Hotspot function.
Anyone having these problems and is there a fix?
You can downgrade back to ok4 if your on a mm build like pca. I've done it multiple times with 100 percent success. The bootloader isn't locked when going back to ok4 from pca at this time but when or if this phone gets another update for mm this might change but for right now this isn't an issue. There isn't that much rom based on 6.0.1 mm for this phone that is TouchWiz at the moment for sprint besides insanity rom.

I should have looked at who the OP was before even opening this thread. I've been running marshmallow with absolutely no issues since it was leaked. I've flashed back to stock roms, flashed custom roms, flashed back to marshmallow, rooted, and debloated. So I don't see why the hell you posted this thread. Maybe YOU can't customize YOUR marshmallow rom because, as your track record shows with all, ALL, of YOUR roms, none of them work. So, maybe the problem isn't the marshmallow update, the problem is you.
Thanks zune70. I appreciate the information.
