Would my phone get bricked if I flashed the developer edition bootloader/odin factory files or would it just not work?

Hi
i installed mincos rom with franco kernel and in the extras section he had a zip which was a jellybean bootloader update anyway i flashed it and it failed so it didnt flash then i flashed codefire x rom and francos kernel and when clicking reboot the phone just went black and now wont turn on. any ideas would be appreciated
Bootloader update? Did you screw up your bootloader?
Did you wipe between ROM flashes?
If you're worried about the bootloader, download the img that is linked in the "Return to stock" thread link at the top of general and flash through fastboot.
yh bootloader has been erased therefore cannot access fastboot.
Flashed the newest PacMan rom onto my verizon note 3 not knowing I needed to have a developer edition to run it. So now im just stuck on the bootloader and dont know what to do. Ive tried booting into recovery mode and factory resetting to a nandroid back up i have saved on my sd card through twrp but im still stuck. Does anyone have any advice? i shouldve been more careful i understand that but the website wasnt very clear. everyones help is much appreciated
You will need to flash back to stock MJE 4.3 in odin. Follow this guide : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2483380
Good luck!
Hi all, im really hoping someone can help, and that what ive done is reversible.
After rooting I tried installing the alliance rom (lollipop) on my n610f, i got a boot loop so restored the backup rom using CWM without any problems, i read on the alliance rom page that id need a different bootloader and modem, i got what i thought were the correct one and put them on using odin, did a wipe and tried again, same bootloop. Except this time when i restore the backup rom i still have the same boot loop.
If anyone has a fix for this id be eternally grateful.
Fixed it by flashing N910FXXU1B OB4 [Lollipop 5.0.1] bootloader and modem
What did you flash? Modem or bootloader..? I think the best solution is, flash stock firmware via odin, then try again.
I'm gone all week every week driving and have so much to do when I get in I don't have much time to follow all of the advancements. I am rooted with OD5 bootloader. Running MOAR 6.62 / 5.0 with OG5 firmware. I like the customization abilities of MOAR but it's not essential. Native tethering for the laptop on the road is critical (unlimited data). I am on the original safestrap (3.75)? I use the NI2 flasher and I'm comfortable with odin. I already use SU pro version. Is there a down and dirty way I can go up to 6.0 without having to learn new methods/apps to do so? Or what's the easiest way with my setup to achieve this?
I apologize for asking a question that has doubtless been asked a number of times. I just am so pressed for free time.
Thanx in Advance and don't scorch me too harshly with flaming !!

Is your bootloader unlocked ?
I
Check by booting into download mode and looking for developer mode if you see it flash twrp in Odin
If not go to getex kk-mm bootloader unlock thread on XDA under s5 Verizon section then
If it is Then boot into recovery and flash mm rom
I flash in this order
Do a Backup in twrp to external SD card or USB otg drive
Do a full wipe except USB storage and external SD card
Then flash mm kernel
Then flash mm modem
Then flash ROM
Then reboot
If it bootloops then flash cm13 as a base then flash your ROM again in twrp
If it doesnt bootloop you are good
If you have problems try a different ROM
No it's not a dev edition
It doesn't have to be what it does have to be to get bootloader unlock is a Samsung 15 emmc you can check this by downloading the emmc brick Bug app on Google Play
if it is a 15 Samsung emmc then you can bootloader unlock from getex kk-mm bootloader unlock thread on xda
once you get bootloader unlocked you can install TWRP using odin
from there you can install a custom marshmallow ROM in twrp
This is the fastest and easiest way
I'm sorry I should've stated it's an 11
You can't have root on mm rom with a locked bootloader so sorry man
You can be rooted on highest lollipop firmware pb1 that is it
OK so I flashed marshmallow on my galaxy s5 g900a it said pass on Odin but on restart it freezes at the att logo. I went to recovery and factory reset but when the rebooted it said "Android is starting optimizing apps" after it does that my phone restarts and the same problem happens. Help please!!!!!
it's not bricked that's all what I know
just try to flash the rom again
or try to install twrp and flash a custom rom

how do i install twrp? remember it freezes at the att splash screen I have been without my phone for over 12 hours now I need immediate help
hope u have an unlocked bootloader.. if u do just download twrp the zip one not the image.. for s5 and flash it using Odin.
or go to recovery mode do a full wipe and f.reset then put your phone in download and flash a new stock rom..
If its AT&T and MM has been flashed then it will have a locked bootloader and rooting via cf or twrp will not work.
The only thing that will successfully flash now is AT&T branded MM. You can't even roll back to lollipop or kitkat.
