Has anyone attempted to port Android Auto to the nexus 7? Considering how great the n7 is as an in-dash unit, this would really enhance the experience.

Android Auto
Android Auto is in Android L.
Your phone needs to have Android L on it, which will then produce the screen for your car.
I too, am looking at using the Nexus 7 (or 9) as the dash for my car.
It does look possible as it is mentioned in the Android Auto Developer website, as possible.
We need to wait for the Android Auto SDK in order to do this.
When Android L is released (which should be this month), I imagine that is when the SDK will be released, and many people will be posting how to use your Nexus 7 as the Android Auto screen for your car!

I ordered a Speedlink bluetooth mouse of ebay and it works perfectly with my Nexus 7 but nothing with my Nexus 4.
It connects and pairs but doesn't show a cursor or do anything with the phone.

Nexus 7 running stock and rooted 4.2.1
Any advice?
Thanks.
Maybe downgrade your nexus 4 to 4.2.1?

Can anyone confirm that they have a mouse which works with the Nexus 4?
I wonder if the level of Android actually is the issue. l also have a speedlink mouse. On 4.2.1 it worked fine with my Nexus 7, as with yours. Now on 4.2.2 it won't connect, and your Nexus 4 is on 4.2.2. It might be that the Android level, rather than the device, may be the issue.

It does seem odd and an unlikely coincidence. I wonder why this functionality was stripped out.
Has anyone got any sort of bluetooth mouse to work with 4.2.2?
I can't seem to get 4.3 on my Nexus 4. I was reading that it won't work on Windows 8.1. Is this true?
Yes. The new windows has issues with android. This is the reason alot of people are not updating to the OS

My nexus 4 works fine with Windows 8.1 (Blue) but my nexus 7 doesn't work most of the time. Meaning it's not recognized past the USB insert sound.

Hey. I have not owned a Nexus phone before. I'm thinking of buying the incoming Nexus 5, and my question to you is: Since Nexus uses clean android version, do you feel that it lacks some features that other manufacturers add to their flagships?
As a Xperia user, i use some of the custom firmware features, but does the Nexus phone lacks something in particular that you require?
Any Nexus user's opinion about the usage of the device and their opinion about it's customization would be great .
No absolutely not.
The only thing that would be nice is a function to 'torch' the flash of the phone while in lockscreen.

The Nexus 7 can run it but as of right now it's clearly only optimized for the Nexus 5. They haven't finished optimizing the layout for tablets and there is that semi-annoying bug where the keyboard pops up every time you go to the home screen.
Hello fellow nexus 4 users, actually I own a lg g watch which runs android wear on it, which works perfectly with my nexus 4 on KitKat ROM, but in android l I was not able to answer calls on android wear watch I cud only reject calls but jot answer, so any other android wear user can please confirm is it only me or someone else also facing the same problem
