Indeed, very good to see. @jerpelea Cheers mate!

Great! My next device will be def. the Z2 / Z3

If it gives CM the ability to recreate the stock camera functionality, then GREAT, otherwise it's quite useless...
I will keep using stock because of the camera. CM has NEVER been able to implement the proprietary camera functionality in devices...

And? Do you expect them to use Sony FW camera interface? I don't. Unless you have a Nexus it's the same case with all of CM's devices, camera quality will never be as good as stock.

Wtf are you talking about? This has nothing to do with camera quality in AOSP ROMs, it just makes kernel building and development easier for devs

Shouldn't this be in General Discussion?
I mean I suppose it is Development related, but it's news rather than an actual release of any kind.
I'm probably wrong.

I don't believe he has the hardware to build it from source. Regardless, your posts to him are bordering on harassment, so cut it out unless you want your posts reported.

No worries. Yes I cannot build from the source because l hv no capable resources and hardware.

DISCUSSION ABOUT FUTURE PORTS
Hi all, as many of you should already know, Android 5.0 source code has been dumped to AOSP so coding and porting is already possible... As I'm seeing almost nothing about Lollipop to our devices, let's have this place for general chatting and speculations about the future builds!
Personally, I have some questions...
1- Are you guys excited about it or is just me?
2- Who you guys think that will be our 'hero' and port to our devices fisrt?
3- [4 DEVS] Are you considering to make a port of it?
4- What should be the major trouble in this version? (drivers, CPU, GPU, RAM, etc)

I am very excited!!!
Came in here to see if there was a compile yet... We will see paranoid or cm first I'm wagering... Cm will be a few days off I'm guessing too. We have to wait for them to start most of these Roms.

Yes, I think CM will be releasing something on the start of december...
I already see some ports to Nexus devices (including 7 2012&2013), maybe someone who knows coding may port it for us as a preview or a test build, the same way that somebody tried with MIUI from Nexus 7 2013 \o/
A dev could attempt a vanilla asop build.
But I am not a dev

My friend actually thought me how to build from source, so I am going to try to build android l rom for tab 2 7" but i kind of forgot how, but i will let you guys know how it goes!
Heck yeah. CM said they'll start releasing nightlies in December
I am very very exited for lollipop for tab 2 :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::victory::victory::victory::victory::victory::victory:
But any genius dev who could make it
What if all the devs unite to make it
And I think a new recovery will be needed for it?
And I am just a 15 year old

And yup, I'm really excited! I guess CM or PA will be the first ones to release the ROMS for our Tabs. My only worry is about the CPU (kind of outdated).
Our hero could be:
@tuxafgmur he is (I think) the best developer for P51XX
I believe on @Android-Andi too, he's the guy for the whole Tab 2 community!

You make apps and kernels and other stuff that make people happy and inspired. You have the knowledge, the skills and the power to make a revolution in custom rom series that will the headlines of all major tech news forums and website - ''UPGRADE ANCIENT TAB 2 TO LOLLIPOP! ''.And this will make you very very famous. So famous that many people will donate to you for making roms that you will be so rich that you can buy a institute for teaching people on how to develop roms. I know you don't do it for money. I know you do it for respect and happiness that is the main motive of human life. Yes you can You can do it Andi we are with you. I dont think @LuK1337 is gonna do it because he is much more interested in CM than stock/AOSP.He will remain on maintaining CM for the devices he built it for.
Also I once asked him about making AOSP from source using CM device tree and he told me that many things won't work on AOSP using it and there is no need to try it.So I guess until someone makes AOSP device trees for us, any such roms will not be possible.
also @LuK1337 will you please respond to me on hangouts ?

One doesn't exclude the other. I don't think the update carries just the bootloader fix. My point is, they are using it as an excuse to release sources after all updates are done (the more updates, the more time they gain with that excuse).
What they should be doing instead is releasing sources the moment binaries are out like any developer-friendly, and more importantly, GPL-abiding entity.
You think a dev would publish a kernel based on their sources, if they released it earlier, without correcting the vulnerability themselves? The xda article said (sultanxda) it could be fixed by just a letter change in all instances of a "word" xD.

They're probably trying to hide their poor/ broken code. Anyway, they're violating GPL by not releasing the source code. It's a poor move by OP whom I had hope for. This Nougat launch has been completely botched by them.

OK. Got your point - but 2 1/2 week? If you don't want to publish your code at the same time you publish your ready compiled product, don't base it on code under GPLv2. Period. BTW: Do you know, that Carl Pei commited OnePlus to zero-day source-code pushes? Considering this, you should accept our insisting on N sources.
