No, likely not. I've long since sold my ZTE Open and ZTE Open C because of how terrible ZTE are with supporting Firefox OS.
What I will likely do, however, is keep compiled "stable" versions of each of the branches when they're marked as stable/released so people who want 100% original stable builds can always get them.
I can't be arsed to keep up with making daily builds on multiple branches.

Thanks very much. Can you recommend me a tutorial to install those files?
Those I've checked brick my ZTE Open every time :/

What I did was update my ZTE Open from whatever base firmware it has to V1.1 ZTE, and then from there to V1.2 ZTE.
After that, things get tricky. My images do NOT have a boot.img since the build process doesn't put one out, so you need to either do a shallow flash of gecko/gaia, or make a working boot.img using linr76's instructions.
I never succeeded in making one unfortunately.

Welcome to the EzInput 2.0 Keyboard Suite project.
Ok, the time has come.
HTC has rushed to prepare a pre-release of its EzInput 2.0 technology just in time for the MWC in Barcelona, and we have it here ready for our tweaks, hacks and workarounds.
These are the new layouts - only Phone Keypad and Full Qwerty, this time.

The first WVGA Beta cabs are ready for download, but beware, this is just for experienced users only.
As you'll see, the known issues are a bit annoying, especially if compared to what we're accustomed to with the 1.5 release.
But that said, the huge use of .xml configuration files will probably mean a quite easily customizable experience for all the known form factors.
Update:
Updated files have come out, with a few improvements that need to be checked out. Time for Beta 2.
Take a look !
Downloads - WWE only
WVGA
FullKdb - Phones with Full Keyboard (Nokbd customization will come later, but the cab will work even on NoKbd phones)
HTC EzInput 2.0 Keyboard Suites
Known Issues
Availability of Keypad Layout.
The Keypad layout is available and working, but not selectable using the settings or the old Input Panel.
To select it, you have to use the new SipMenu, included in cab B1.1 and above.
Only the newer phones from HTC can use the SipMenu (Elfin, Diamond, Raphael, Opal, Jade, Blackstone, Iolite).
The layout can be forced - in Portrait mode - using the registry.
Languages Availability and Selection.
Not all languages are available on the pre-release rom.
The Beta2 cab includes English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.
There's no way to select them using the standard Input Panel.
To select it, you have to use the new SipMenu, included in cab B1.1 and above.
Only the newer phones from HTC can use the SipMenu (Elfin, Diamond, Raphael, Opal, Jade, Blackstone, Iolite).
The old Language Packs made for V1.5 are *NOT* compatible with V2.0.
The main language can be forced through a registry setting.

i am ready. lets git-r-done.
What a tease. LOL
Looks great. Installed on Touch Pro and everything worked fine.
In Landscape mode the right hand side is cut off. but not a big deal. Thank you a lot of this, your hard work and for sharing.
Do you mean that WVGA version works in VGA screen without problem
It will work, just the right side of the keyboard is cut off while in landscape mode. but when that is the case you have the keyboard slide out anyways.
On Diamond or in Portrait It works fine. no cut off at all.
Hello,
Great work DupinBJK. Keep it up......
I was more happy, if I was having vga or wvga devices. Anyway cannot wait for qvga.
Thanks and Regrads
AWESOME I have so been waiting for an update. "As you know DB lol Thanks" SOrry for being impatient hope all works well soon. I know COn is helping it will be done soon and will work flawlessly
thanks again

Well, everything seems a bit too much, I have a few issues with the landscape mode on the emulator... when I type on the leftmost or rightmost keys nothing happens.
Isn't it the same for you ?
And anyway, for the form factor: take a look at the xml files - the coordinates and the key codes are no longer inside the .dll, but in an editable file !!
This means that (although it might not be so fully customizable at this stage) we could begin working on a VGA version right now !

accelerometer game BOING...

A New version of Boing is available on my website. This requires a device that has opengl es support.
Touch the screen or use arrow keys to start or pause the game.
Tilt the device side to side to move the ball.
Enter button exits the game.
When paused, touching the lower portion of the screen where it says resume will resume
and touching the upper area where it says exit will exit the game.
-------------
BOING... is a game built for use on a HTC windows mobile phone with a tilt sensor / accelerometer / g-sensor. Move the device to move the ball and bounce from platform to platform.
-older version instructions-
The phone I used to test development has a resolution of 240 x 320.
I have tried to add support for larger resolutions but am unable to test.
I have also tried to make it usable by phones without an accelerometer with the arrow keys.
Please visit my website http://flyingmonkeypuke.com/boing
It is playable but I am still having some trouble with consistent platform generation and collision detection.

any screens pleas ?
Hi, could you put some screenshots? Thanks
It's neat. Tested on a Fuze/Touch Pro and it works well. There's some slight flickering going on. Are you going to build in levels or something similar?
For anyone asking - there are 'trampolines' that a ball bounces off of and goes higher and you need to move the device left/right to move the ball around while it's in air and the platforms are spaced out randomly. I like the concept. MyMobiler won't pick it up on a screenshot...
Thanks for trying it out. I was curious how it plays on a vga resolution. The way I tried to support larger resolutions was to just add more platforms when a larger screen size was detected which probably adds more of a problem with the randomly generated platforms. Unless the ddraw is scaling to fit the vga screen which might be the cause of the flickering? It runs smooth and with no flicker on my device.
I am working on an opengl project at the moment. I will revisit this project and make some adjustments when I can.
I couldn't get MyMobiler to work to get a screen shot either so I just mocked one up.
Tested it to see how it behaved with cursor keys, but since I dont have accelarometer, it crashed...
hey twolf, I dusted off my mpx200 and made some adjustments. I got it to work but I don't recommend running this on on a device with 176x220 resolution. still no flickering on this phone either.
new zip uploaded to my website.
nop.... It shows "unable to load sensor dll", splashscreen appears, crash.
I have a Qvga (240x320) screen.
Doesn't work on my Touch HD (480x800) I see for one second the title, and then it closes..
Has anyone had a positive experience with this program? I would appreciate any feedback.
If anyone is interested I posted an opengl cube that responds to tilting the device.
I had a good experience but I stated that already I didn't see the 'cube' post - I'd test it out...anyone making gsen apps is good in my book
It doesn't work on WM6.5

New openGL es build of Boing now available. hopefully this will work better for everyone. I finally got access to a touch pro to test on. no sound in this build. enjoy
Thanks a lot, looks great!
Hope soon we can have it with sound
Works fine on VGA screen (Diamond). Thank you, nice game
Works great on the HD2. Very addictive game indeed!
The only problem is that touching the screen pauses and then resumes. The menu doesn't do anything for me, so I can't exit the game that way.
Other than that, tip-top mate
when paused, touching the lower portion of the screen where it says resume will resume and touching the upper area where it says exit will exit the game.

[APP]Location Aware mySearch is powered by Bing!

mySearch is a location aware search application that uses Microsoft Bing to return results based on your current position. Just enter in your search term and press the search button to return location specific results!
Note: the ROM based HTML viewer control that mySearch uses to pull web service data is broken in cooked WM6.5 builds from mid 23xxx up to 28205 (which tested good when I built for Raphael). The problem renders the viewer unable to "go online". No 21xxx ROMs are affected tmk. This includes all shipping WM6.5 builds & derivatives. Hopefully we'll get to the root problem itnf and it won't require a re-flash to correct
This app requires myLocation services. The myLocation service installer can be found here. If your device has HTC's G-Sensor service then simply orient the screen for landscape or portrait mode. Finger based scrolling/panning is also enabled on all devices that support it.
The program will install to \Program Files\mySearch. A custom png Icon is also located there for those who may wish to install it in Titanium or Manilla.
Have fun with it!

v1.0

Of course, mySearch works for any kind of searching as well. Location info is only used by bing if you are requesting something where the results may be location relevant. For example, I was in the fish store the other day and needed a picture:
Bing actually does a very good job of automatically figuring out when you want location relevance:
In short, this little app is an all around neat search tool. With finger flickable screen scrolling, and g-sensor enabled screen sizing, I'm actually amazed at how well it works as a general purpose web browser too. Maybe my next program will be a simple browser replacement that is powered by the HTML view control! Heck, all I need is a URL input control and a progress bar...
Is MySearch supposed to run on WM6.1 as well ? When running it on my device (Blackstone stock ROM latest), it says connecting, but nothing happens ...
It could be your connection speed. Sometimes it takes a while. Also check to make sure that you can access http://m.bing.com with PIE.
version 1.1 is up! I've added some essential softkey navigation features. See Post 1.
You're right, there is some problem with PIE on my device, it wouldn't connect to anything, whereas Opera Mobile just works perfectly fine. I'll have to look into that ... I'll keep you up-to-date ...
v1.2 is up and corrects an issue with the Back button. See changelog for details.
This is one sweet app but its not working right on my tmo touch pro2.I've installed mylocation and installed mysearch. However when I search the listings being given are way off. I'm in upstate ny and the listings show wisconsin. is there something I can do?
MyLocation may not be working correctly. There have been reports of this with T-Mobile users using 3G services, reason being that the 3G towers aren't in Google's database. Test this with myRadar. It will show a map of the current location. You can place the service in manual mode and enter the correct latitude/longitude yourself as a work around. Also, going to Edge from 3G may correct your problem.
Also works fine on Omnia II i8000
Tested it on my Omnia II i8000 with WM6.5.3 (rom 28008 pdaviet) in combination with my MySearch and works super. Thanks!
Now I need a program that can contineously send the info to for example google latitude. The ultimate tracking solution. If someone has an idea in that direction....
great app thank you!
can anyone please tell me what is that weather plugin showing above the clock that reads '23o Light Fog' ?
Thanks
That's a mylocation aware TitaniumWeather variant. If you need it now, load showaco's cab then copy the titaniumweather.mscr from post one of the mylocation service thread.
Or....
Wait for the cab (working with BeyondInvisible currently on some graphics mods)
Or....
wait for Sleuth's Rhodium ROM featuring myLocation services. You're actually seeing screenshots from a test build on post 1
Here's what TitaniumWeather featuring Beyond's incredible artwork looks like when the panel is selected:
this app would be perfect if my tp2 gps didnt take 10-15minutes to lock on to my location.
Your GPS isn't used by this app. The myLocation service uses the celltower your phone is connected to for location determination. It's about 3-5Km from your actual position but more than accurate enough for mySearch, myRadar and TitaniumWeather.
I'm using an EnergyRom version. OS is 23539
I know you said it wouldn't work. Can confirm. It just shows a blank white screen.
However. Location service and Titanium weather work great. Thanks!
Looking forward to a fix for 23xxx builds.

BeamWidgets - Flashlight Widgets for Desire *26. July, 2010*

I started to code a small widget collection to make good use of the nice HTC Desire flash led as flashlight and more...
At the moment only one App Widget is ready for testing, more widgets and configuration options are in the works.
(also works on standard ROMs, no root required)
If someone wants to give it a try:
While in configuration the led is on so you can check how bright your choosen level is.

- fixed problem with non-functional widget on screen rotate or HTC scene change
- Added haptic feedback/vibrate option to widget configuration
- Widget options now persistent
- Reset widget on Power-/Screen-Off
- Added configuration activity to control torch brightness
- Added a HTC widget style version

- HTC kernel needed with Froyo-ROMs (e.g. LeeDroid)

I'm liking it so far, the simple on off from the widget is preferable to a program. Thanks f3d0r
Brilliant. Simple. To the point.
Is it possible to do another widget (different program) that does the LED light at FULL power ?
Thanks.
I like the idea. I don't like the icon. And could be brighter?
Screens...
I tweaked the icon a little bit by adding some padding, more sophisticated icons may be following
Does this app require a rooted desire or will it work on any old desire?
UPDATE: Tested it out on my unrooted desire and works fine . Awesome app been looking for one for since i got the desire, i tend to lose things hehe....
A small comment on the request for more brightness:
In full-power/flash mode the led would overheat quickly without extensive cooling (which the desire lacks for sure). The rsult would be a dead led in very short time.
However, a "Boost" widget which switches the led to full power mode for a few seconds will be added next.
I'm keeping this version, I like the slightly larger icon and I dont need a boost
thanks again
and again x
I love the widget as it is, thanks!
Very nice, love it - will it be released on the market?

In fact the Widget does not request any permissions in it's manifest but this seems to be an issue of android backward compatibility:
code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=4101
However, as we don't need this I have fixed the issue by specifying a Min SDK requirement in already updated APK.

+1 for anything that makes it brighter and also Strobe effect ... etc etc.
Thanks
Excellent work
The Widget works well. Maybe make a way to lock screen when you turn it on so you don't accidentally hit other stuff when you're using the light. When I use a light I am usually not paying attention to what I am hitting on the screen. lol.
How did you get screenshots of your phone with Android? I haven't seen any apps that let you do it without root access.

New swype beta what do you think?

I think its much improved it looks better, feels better to use, voice input and alot more accurate.
download the installer from your phone browser from https://beta.swype.com/android/get/ if you are a beta tester to get the latest version...
We're happy to bring you version 2.15.56.14870 of Swype BETA for Android. We've made some pretty fantastic upgrades with this version, including adding some new requested features and addressing some reported bugs. Read on for details...
First and foremost - We've resolved an accuracy issue that was introduced in the last beta update. Refer to the changelog for more detail on this critical fix.
Second - Swype BETA for Android now supports Double-Tap-to-Edit! Swype choose a wrong word? Just tap the word twice to bring up the word choice window, pick the correct word, and the cursor will return to wherever it was before. It doesn't get any simpler! See a
video demonstration
, and check out our other tips and tricks.
And Third - Swype BETA for Android now includes a Voice-to-Text button (available for QWERTY layouts ONLY)! You MUST have Google Voice Search pre-integrated in your ROM for this feature to work. We wish everyone could access it, and are working to adapt our existing code to support versions of Voice Search downloaded from the market, as well as other voice search providers, in our next update.
Users with access to the beta can begin downloading the update immediately by pointing their device's browser to http://beta.swype.com/android/get
Some additional details...
* You'll see much less of that pesky "Hidden Word" popup (though it will still show up once in a while)
* Names from the address book will no longer muscle out all other words for top spot in the word-choice-window.
* NEW SELF-UPDATING INSTALLER! This update includes a new installer with some long-needed feature updates.
o The new installer will self-update when you launch it, if necessary, so you'll NEVER have to uninstall and re-install the installer via our website. Just keep the installer on your device, and launch it periodically - If needed you'll be given the option to update it with just a click.
o We've converted the installation app from an "application" to a "service" so that the Android activity manager and other 3rd party task killers won't end the install process prematurely. That means no more rebooting, swap file, or voodoo witchcraft required!
o The installer now includes a repair function. If for any reason Swype stops working, simply re-launch the installer and you'll be guided through the steps necessary to get Swype running again.

Seems to have solved the issue I had where I would need to switch input methods on a restart to be able to use it. Very happy to finally have French support.
I think that although it is a pretty painless installation, the method is a bit peculiar, I just wish it was more streamlined.
Fixed those annoying pop ups.also runs much smoother. Was almost considering switching to the gingerbread keyboard.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
The new version is better, but still likes to pick words from your contacts. I really dislike the pop up which at times drove me to use HTC's keyboard. So far now i can definitely say the accuracy is back compared to the pain it was before.
