Inspired by the theme recently shared by @Ben Ling, here is the pattern-lock screen...with Lego!
To do this yourself, you can download the icons attached to this post and put them into the appropriate drawable-?dpi folder in your decompiled framework-res.apk.
Or, if you're not comfortable with decompiling apk files, just flash the attached 'Lego_PattenLock_Flashable.zip' in CWM (not TWRP). This zip will push a file called 'android-res.apk' into your 'system/vendor/overlay' folder.
By using an overlay apk, it means that your framework-res.apk isn't touched. So you won't lose any of the mods you may have done to it. Pretty cool, no?
Oh, and this zip will make a flashable backup too! Just in case you don't like the changes. Also pretty cool.
(Or, if you use Tickle My Android, why not just let the tool do it for you? I've just updated it with these icons!)
Enjoy!
buddy rock hard.... keep up tha good work but i like tha transparent mod!
Outstanding! Any ideas how to remove the "Draw your pattern" text from the lockscreen? I tried reducing the textsize variable in keyguard.xml [framework-res.apk -> res -> layout -> keyguard.xml] but no effect.
Thanks for this mod!
I'm on 4.4.2, Galaxy Note III.

What res did you rename it to?
^^ xhdpi - I'll need to resize the pngs at some stage too (didn't bother this time when testing)

No joy. I spaced out the "Draw your pattern" and "Wrong pattern" fields to test but the text is still there? Any other ideas of places to look?
Thanks for the info BTW!

Change the actual file name, you may need to turn on show file extensions on your windows PC, If you go into your control panel, classic view, and pick folder options, Select the view tab, Uncheck Hide file extensions for known file types. this will allow you to rename the file future.zip to future.theme, it's also handy for loads of things .
Yeah yeah feeling this theme.... Keep up the good work

Hello all,
After finally getting more and more familiar with Android (moving from years of WinMo customization), I have decided to release the transparent notification pulldown mod that I've created. First off, I must give credit to the (unknown) creator of the actual ASCII android dude, which I obtained from the last frame of the Desire BIOS bootscreen. I worked hard to ensure that the ascii remained crisp since I didn't have the original files, and I think it works great (even some transparency shines through the characters!).
I hope you'll enjoy this, and it's also important to note a few things:
There are 2 files provided below, one is the FLASHABLE .zip and one is a .rar of the raw images/PNGs I used
The flashable .zip file must be installed AFTER FIRST BOOT if you've just flashed a new ROM
Super Circle Battery MOD A is included by default, as I prefer it best (thanks to Fightspit for that one!)
In the .rar package, you will find the replaceable images so that you can use this transparent appdrawer mod with any other 'framework-res.apk' files that you would prefer to use instead.
PLEASE perform a NANDROiD backup before installing this MOD! You have been warned!

Hi I don´t think you know what a AppDrawer is .
The AppDrawer is the Screen coming up if you hit you left button in sense. The one which contains all Apps (APP-Drawer). That´s why the call it like this.
Now you changed it Just wanted to help. Btw: Nice Work !
Really nice mod, but isnt of appdrawer ...
Hey guys, thanks for the clarification. I don't apply many mods myself (other than this one) so I'm not hip to the lingo
I corrected the title of the post so as not to cause more confusion.
My mistake!
hello
can you do this mod on the app drawer ?

Hey chk13, that's a great idea, and I definitely would, however I am not sure which images from 'com.htc.resources.apk' are responsible for drawing the background of the AppDrawer.
I am a little busy now with normal work, but if you find the answer to that and let me know the image filename, I will surely update this to include the AppDrawer replacement.
Cheers!
sorry for my english im french
is not an image you should make modification by xml see this tread
[THEME MOD]EspressoMod with Transparent AppDrawer by Mestr
thank for your repleas
ps i see in htc resource.apk maybe its common_panel_gradient.png
cheers
I understand you perfectly chk13 I also understand that its an .xml edit to set the transparency, so I probably won't be able to add the Android ASCII character in there like my notification pulldown.
I'll have a look and will eventually try to update my theme to support a transparent AppDrawer.
BTW, I will be posting it to http://leedroid.protogenlabs.com under the "Customize" section, so keep an eye on it!
Cheers and thanks!
thanks you man !
Hey guys.
I have ported an xperia style rom from huawei honor.
The problem is that huawei honor's screen is bigger than ours. If you look in the Android Development section, I have posted the ROM. Please have a look at the main screen and you can see that part of the icons are hiding under the bottom of the screen:

Is there an easy way to fix this?
Thanks for your help.

I'm sorry but I'm new to this stuff. Could you please tell me how to check the dpi? And if I want to change it, how do I do it.
EDIT: both of the ROMs have a LCD density of 240. It's just that the rom is from a bigger screen. That's why the icons are going off screen. How do I fix this?
Hey.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the dpi (I have been looking inside framework-res.apk). It's just that the height of the screen is set wrong. Does anyone know where the file is for changing this value?
Thanks
I think it is a launcher problem.
Can't find anything
I looked inside the launcher for it. There are all smali files. All the values in there are set as I.
For example:
something.something.something > something.height: I = 0x700390
Click to expand...

I don't understand all that.
I was going to to check in framework.jar, but I am having problems decompiling classes.dex inside that.
If any of you can help, then please do. If you would like to volunteer and try to fix this problem then please tell me. I can upload the files you need.
Thanks for your help

Use another launcher or download hdpi xperia launcher

Do you push it right? Replace the stock bootanimation with this bootanimation. You might notice the filesize will be differs when you push it.
Works fine here, cheers

it seems like the logo is not well centered in some frames if you look at the gif you will see that it "moves"
however... Great Work!!!!
I like minimalism
edit: try this:
I added also more saturation... and corrected some little imperfections

Woah! Thank you!
I was trying to add few extra wallpapers in my Samsung device's system app SecWallpaperChooser.apk but unfortunately didn't find any tutorial or guide to help me, so I have to learn and do it all on my own.
So basically I'm writing this tutorial for those who want to add new wallpapers and specially for those new devs who are making new Rom with lollipop or above version theme for a device that is 4.1+
Prerequisites:-
1) A rooted phone
2) Backup your original SecWallpaperChooser.apk
3) Any Tool that can Decompile & Recompile with it's requirements
4) Notepad++
5) Photoshop or any other similar software.
6) Basic knowledge of decompiling and recompiling.
Let's Start
Backup your SecWallPaperChooser.apk
Decompile SecWallpaperChooser.apk
Add or edit wallpapers in \res\drawable-sw320dp-hdpi [Since my device is sw-320dp-hdpi, you may have different too]
Numbering should be in ascending order like wvga_05.jpg , wvga_05_small.jpg , wvga_06.jpg , wvga_06_small.jpg & so on.... Check the screenshot below.
Screenshot
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Now Open \res\values\public.xml
Replace "APKTOOL_DUMMY_XXXX" with the new added wallpaper name & save it.
I have added 5 new wallpapers with the name
wvga_06.jpg , wvga_06_small.jpg
wvga_07.jpg , wvga_06_small.jpg
wvga_08.jpg , wvga_06_small.jpg
wvga_09.jpg , wvga_06_small.jpg
wvga_10.jpg , wvga_06_small.jpg
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Screenshot
Now Open \res\values-sw320dp-hdpi\arrays.xml [Since my device is sw-320dp-hdpi, you may have different too]
Add the item[wallpaper] name that you have added & save it.
I have added the 5 new wallpapers with the above name so my additions in the coding is

wvga_06

wvga_07

wvga_08

wvga_09

wvga_10

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Screenshot
Recompile & install the apk or adb push it.
If you like my work press :good: and if you use it for your rom don't forget to mention it Enjoy!

Thank you for explanations.
