Hello all,
After finally getting more and more familiar with Android (moving from years of WinMo customization), I have decided to release the transparent notification pulldown mod that I've created. First off, I must give credit to the (unknown) creator of the actual ASCII android dude, which I obtained from the last frame of the Desire BIOS bootscreen. I worked hard to ensure that the ascii remained crisp since I didn't have the original files, and I think it works great (even some transparency shines through the characters!).
I hope you'll enjoy this, and it's also important to note a few things:
There are 2 files provided below, one is the FLASHABLE .zip and one is a .rar of the raw images/PNGs I used
The flashable .zip file must be installed AFTER FIRST BOOT if you've just flashed a new ROM
Super Circle Battery MOD A is included by default, as I prefer it best (thanks to Fightspit for that one!)
In the .rar package, you will find the replaceable images so that you can use this transparent appdrawer mod with any other 'framework-res.apk' files that you would prefer to use instead.
PLEASE perform a NANDROiD backup before installing this MOD! You have been warned!

Hi I don´t think you know what a AppDrawer is .
The AppDrawer is the Screen coming up if you hit you left button in sense. The one which contains all Apps (APP-Drawer). That´s why the call it like this.
Now you changed it Just wanted to help. Btw: Nice Work !
Really nice mod, but isnt of appdrawer ...
Hey guys, thanks for the clarification. I don't apply many mods myself (other than this one) so I'm not hip to the lingo
I corrected the title of the post so as not to cause more confusion.
My mistake!
hello
can you do this mod on the app drawer ?

Hey chk13, that's a great idea, and I definitely would, however I am not sure which images from 'com.htc.resources.apk' are responsible for drawing the background of the AppDrawer.
I am a little busy now with normal work, but if you find the answer to that and let me know the image filename, I will surely update this to include the AppDrawer replacement.
Cheers!
sorry for my english im french
is not an image you should make modification by xml see this tread
[THEME MOD]EspressoMod with Transparent AppDrawer by Mestr
thank for your repleas
ps i see in htc resource.apk maybe its common_panel_gradient.png
cheers
I understand you perfectly chk13 I also understand that its an .xml edit to set the transparency, so I probably won't be able to add the Android ASCII character in there like my notification pulldown.
I'll have a look and will eventually try to update my theme to support a transparent AppDrawer.
BTW, I will be posting it to http://leedroid.protogenlabs.com under the "Customize" section, so keep an eye on it!
Cheers and thanks!
thanks you man !

TouchUp is based on devoid. #froyo-final by Noejn. I've simply added what I felt were the missing pieces to an already very nice theme (thanks Noejn!!), hence the name TouchUp.
How it differs from Noejns original:
Power Menu with Reboot and Reboot Recovery (thanks to PaoloM70 for the tutorial)
Jazzk Battery icons (thanks UOT Kitchen)
Original Android bootanimation restored
Original Jog Tabs (unlock sliders) restored
Zipaligned

Complete set of 100 discharging icons are included. I reduced the number of charging icons to 10 (traditionally 100) in keeping with the devoid philosophy.
Theme is signed, just boot into recovery and flash - be sure to wipe cache and Dalvik-cache first.
To apply Original Boot Animation delete/rename bootanimation.zip from /system/media.
This theme may work with other deodex 2.2 Roms but is untested, please report your findings. It will NOT work with 2.2.1 or higher.
Disclaimer - I take no responsibility for your phone not working after applying this theme - MAKE A BACKUP FIRST!!
I don't want donations but hitting the Thanks button would be appreciated. Enjoy!!
it would be nice if u cud work on more themes and make 1 or 2 awesome themes =)

I figured I'd leave the extravagant themes to you, they're awesome!
My tastes are a bit more on the subtle side. If this theme generates enough interest I'd consider another 1 or 2 with different battery icons and maybe a set of white reception icons but that would be about it.... until the official GB is released.
thx i like it, but i would be nice if you add transparent background notification.
Downloading ...
Can anyone test this on openOptimus? I can't now since I'm hardly working on that damn Sense.
since devoid final is 2.2
Open optimus 2.2 .....
Why wud ask a silly question? It will work..
Hey everyone. Thought I'd give this a shot and created these boot animations of a stylized Aurora Borealis.
It's meant for dzo's Aurora ICS ROM, hence why it says Aurora in the middle on some, but you can really use it anywhere you like it (as long as your screen is 480x800 pixels). I've licensed it as CC-BY-NC license, so use as much as you like.
Installation: Rename the file you downloaded to bootanimation.zip and use a root file explorer to move it to /system/media.

Previews for v1, v2, v3 and v4.
Updates
10. May 2012: I've managed to make the animation both smoother and chop off a whole second. I updated versions v2, v3 and v4 (complain if you'd like me to update it as well). They're the same speed, but more fluid and the files are a bit smaller.
Can you put a couple of pictures??
Mh, there are two preview GIFs. Maybe it's the host, I tried a new one. I've changed them to imageshack, hope you can see them now
Hello riDDimann,
Very nice bootanimation, I currently use v2. Well done and thanks
Maybe you could consider making one with a starry background (similar to kostasvr's bootanimation)?
@zephyr1988: Possibly. I kept the background simple for space reasons, but I've since found out how to lower resolution and it shows (v2 is smaller even though it has a much more complex animation). So there's some budget left
Edit: It took me some time (to realize that the horrible banding was introduced by PNG-optimizers), but I've made two more versions. Both without text and a starry background for v4.
Check out the first post, I've made some changes I bet you'll like

I don't really intend to make more versions. that would just clutter up the thread. But you can always unzip the archive and crop the images to fit.
I could upload the SVG source, but I don't think you'll get much out of it. At least at the time I found no tool that could export animated SVG, so I wrote one myself and it's not quite ready for release.

You can put it as you like by following this guide:

Cool. Would love this but it is too too version-specific. So everyone asks, I have version zyx, will it work? Maybe, maybe not.
This is a job for Xposed!
Check out the "wisdomSky exploit" which will set color, clock fonts, etc., at run time. Might combine your mod with his.
One note relevant to both approaches. I use Xposed to reduce the height of the status bar so more (,smaller) items can be seen when opened. Android still reserves the whole height so the color, transparancy will apply to reduced height leaving a black bar underneath.

First of all, I would like to thank vikasb32 and itiskonrad for allowing me to use their PNGs -- you guys rock. Thanks also to all the guides and tutorials (and their writers) both here and elsewhere that got me interested in being more than an end user -- keep on spreading the knowledge. Last, but certainly not least, much thanks to XDA and the wonderful community of Android enthusiasts -- it's you guys who make Android awesome.
Here are a few lockscreen pattern styles that I've been using and tinkering with, which I've now decided to share with the community that helped me make this all happen. As you may notice, all the attached lockscreen patterns have had the Emergency Call button removed. It's a personal preference since I find it useless and it's also constantly getting accidentally hit. Don't worry, both the Emergency Call button and the Forgot Password button appear after you've input the wrong pattern enough times. I'll be adding more styles as I come up with them, but if you've got any ideas you want me to try, don't hesitate to voice them.
Note: These lockscreen mods are for FitAmp's Unofficial CyanogenMod 7.2 release, build 20130615, only. While they may work on any CM7.2 rom based on that build, there's no guarantee and may result in bootloops. Since these mods use a modified framework-res.apk and framework.jar, if you have any other mods installed that also modifies those files, installing these lockscreen mods would overwrite them. The zips are flashable (tested and working) in CWM, AmonRa, and TWRP. Also attached are zips to restore stock lockscreen and status bar (SystemUI.apk, framework-res.apk, framework.jar), or lockscreen only (framework-res.apk, framework.jar).
And now, the mods.

I could give it a try. I'll see what I can do when I have some free time.
This is a good idea ! :good:
Hi everyone!
I'm with a tiny problem . I just have a couple of days with the Exodus ROM (which is amazing so far) and just replaced the stock Roboto Font that comes with any AOSP ROM for the San Francisco Display Font (yes, the one that comes in iOS).
The problem is that the clock widget on the lock screen, instead of showin the "colon" of the hour, it shows this famous "question mark in a box" symbol.
I replaced the Roboto Regular, Bold , Thin, and Light ones for its SFDF corresponding ones; so I don't know what should be the problem (it seems that it uses the Thin one, but I'm not sure).
I'm gonna attach a screenshot, so you can see what I'm talking about if I didn't explained myself correctly (which is the most possible situation)

Thank you in advance and I apologize for my English.
The Google fonts (like Roboto) have symbols in the "Private" area of the font file (ttf) that are not standardized.
The only way you can fix this is to actually edit the ttf file and copy symbols to the following slots:
EE01 :
EE02 "
F6C3 ,
You can use FontForge to do so, but editing ttf fikes has a little bit of a learning curve.
Thank you very much! It worked!
@JoeBro19 Could you please share the edited San Fransisco font file?
@amaldhure I no longer have an android phone but I decided to extract the SF font from my Mac and edit it again. I hope it works. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B52QDJW8irNzcUZHTkRDVWR4WUU
@JoeBro19 That's so nice of you, thanks buddy! Unfortunately, the font format (OTF) is not working for me. Could you please share a TTF file of that format? I tried to open your OTF file in multiple apps like macOS's default font viewer and some online font viewers, but it does not open up anywhere. On trying to install the OTF file using FontFix app, the app crashed on selecting the file.
I was able to edit my San Fransisco TTF file using an online tool called GlyphrStudio. I've generated the OTF file after doing the required editing and it worked for me! The same could be found at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-FhRZ9W_k26TW5DSUE4c0xHeEE. Hope this helps someone.
@amaldhure Oh, I'm sorry mine didn't work! But at leats you mamaged to get a working one! I'm glad you could and decided to share the working one for those who need it!
Anyway, I guess that's all. Because I no longer have an andriod phone, I believe that's all for me here. ?
@JoeBro19 Thanks buddy!
@amaldhure No problem!
