I have this very weird problem where my phone vibrates every time I open the camera. Almost as if trying to focus. It vibrates the same way as when the phone is set on vibrate for notifications. I have the N900T and I am on 4.4.2 and rooted.
Any solutions?
I have same issue on N9005, when I open camera app (doesn't matter if Samsung's or snapchat or google's) it starts vibrating, it must be an isolated issue cuz this is the first time I see someone else to have same problem like me.

Hello,
Anyone having an issue with their camera suddenly not working? Specifically, the camera will suddenly stop responding to the shutter button. I see the button "glowing" when I press it, but the camera will not snap the picture. It does this no matter what setting I choose. Even if I force close the app, it will continue doing the same thing. The solution is to reboot the entire phone to get it working again.
I have another Nexus 4 which I bought for my gf and she had the same exact issue. This was happening all last night (Thanksgiving dinner) trying to take family photos. To make matters worse, the issue first appeared when I handed my phone to my friend who has an iPhone. He immediately laughed on how it could not even do a simple task. lol
I am wondering if it was due to a low light condition and somehow caused a bug as I have been unable to reproduce the issue since this morning on both phones. Even when the flash was manually set to on, you can tap the screen which turns on the flash momentarily; however, when this issue was occuring, the flash LED would remain lit until I manually closed the app.
Hello,
Has anyone ever experienced having their flashlight turned on whenever the phone is locked and a new message is received on Line messaging app? It's a little annoying for me, especially when my phone is in my pocket and I could feel my phone heats up a little, only to find out that the flashlight had been turned on.
At first I thought this was a bug with my flashlight app when my phone was still running stock android. But I replaced my flashlight app and the problem still persists. Now I'm running CM 10.1.3 and Line still messes up with CM's pre-installed flashlight app.
I live in this part of the world where almost everyone is using Line app so I cannot uninstall it in favor of other messaging apps. It seems to only affect nexus 4 also as I could not find other people talking about this problem on Google.
However, this does not happen all the time though. Seems to only happen when my phone is in my pocket! Another thing is that sometimes, Line also makes the lockscreen unresponsive when I try to unlock using a pattern. I would have to press the power button several times to turn the screen on and off until it responds to my touch. Ugh Line app really sucks..
ok, seems like I found a simple solution. I just had to disable popup notifications, duh. I'd have to observe my phone for some time if the problem persists but it seems like this trick solves it
Hi,
I have a big problem with the galaxy s5 camera. Sometimes the camera starts flickering.. I mean a white coloured band comes for a millisecond on the right side of the screen and repeats every second. This is also seen while recording videos, and its very annoying. How can this problem be solved?
Return it

To further check the issue I found that this only happens with the stock camera app and does not happen with any other camera app like aosp camera etc. So is the issue hardware or software related?

it is a software problem.I have the same problem on my S4 with the stack camera app.If use google camera it works like a charm.
Maybe you should try a factory reset and see if the issue persists. If it does, definitely return it!

I have the same problem one times, I hope that this is only a SW issue and not HW. With the picture or with the video quality I have no problem.
so about 2 months ago my note 3 started vibrating when using the camera. I first noticed it in snapchat, the camera wouldn't focus and I noticed the phone is vibrating. Basically every time an app uses the camera and it fails to focus the phone would start vibrating for a really long period of time, which then makes pics distort and the camera fails to focus again which extends the vibration. I thought it's a touchwiz rom error (I was using xnote when it happened for first time (4.4 btw, don't remember which version of x-note it was) but then I tried out some AOSP roms and the stock s5 port and then I came back to xnote v16 and it kept doing this vibration thing. Any ideas what causes it/how to fix it?
I have no idea. Mine started doing this just now. But I noticed it's not just in the camera app, it's anytime the phone is in landscape no matter what app is running.
same issue on N9005
I can't remember when it started but it's rendered the camera basically useless. Sometimes it finds focus and stops the vibration... what I found helps somewhat is shaking the phone rather violently, it stops vibration and then works as normal, untill I close the Camera app and go back into it, then same story. I can't think that this is a hardware issue as it is able to focus and take pictures just fine. This is a major annoyance but I don't think it's unsolveable. I'm no developer but may it be at all possible yo fix this with an xposed module or tweak that completely disables the vibration motor in the phone while in the camera app? Is this a possibility or is the problem deeper than that. I've tried loads of ROMs and it's present on all of them, the leaked Lollipop firmware as well. It's impossible to go back to Jelly Bean AFAIK but before I updated to Kit Kat I didn't have this issue.
I have this problem too
Vibrate when im in camera...not always somtimes
5.1.1
I guess this was never solved?
Hello there,
OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition user here.
I am having a problem every time I make phone calls. The problem is that suddenly, during a phone call, after few moments screen turns ON and it is annoying. I need to turn it OFF instantly by myself because if I don't turn it OFF it happens my face touches the buttons, keyboard and other parts of screen so several unwanted actions are performed during the call. It happens constantly so I think it is not just by accident.
For example, when having a call via WhatsApp that issue isn't happening so I think is related to Phone app.
I have had a bunch of smartphones in the past and I didn't have such a problem with either of them.
Can someone help me how to solve this issue or does someone other have it as well?
Thanks.

So you are saying it only happens on the phone app when you hold it to your face? What if you did a call via speakerphone only.
I ask this as I had a phone previously that the proximity sensor had issues and screen would come on when the phone was held up against my head. Could be a hardware problem.

Yes. If I do a phone call via speakerphone there is no such a issue. Even I feel that this is proximity sensor issue but just wanted to check here whether someone had similar problems.
