I could not replicate your problem. My photo EXIF data remains intact after moving a photo from internal storage to the SD card.
This could be caused by an endless number of variables. And since you provided no details about your configuration, we have no way to do anything more than wildly speculate.
You should have posted extensive details about your system and what steps are necessary to replicate the problem. e.g. phone model, firmware version, character set, EXIF viewer name and version, how you moved the file, SD card FS, links to copies of the image before and after you moved it, et cetera.
Try changing each variable and watch for a pattern of which items or steps cause the problem to narrow it down. Could be a bug, a program reformatting your photo, a character set incompatability or many other things. Happy hunting.

I have the same problem
Whenever I transfer files from my internal sotorage to my sd card, the exifs are different. The files will show a different date and time.

[TOOL] CEListFiles - storage analysis with "remote support"

CEListFiles
From time to time I have the "pleasure" to see my WindowsMobile device struggle with low storage / low main memory. I get that low memory message and have no clue, what caused the problem, which program used the place up or what data files should rather be saved on memory card. Searching for files I can delete on the device itself is painfully slow, especially if I examine the Windows folder and it'S sub-folders. Using ActiveSync and the Explorer on the DesktopPC is better but not efficient too. So I wrote a little tool for myself I want to share with whomever it appeals to use it.

CEListFiles is a tool that displays the device's file/folder structure on your Desktop PC. There are a few special features:
it shows each folders size including all subfolders
it shows ROM files with a little "R" in the icon
it lets you export and import the file/folder structure so you can compare it to a previous state or have the file/folder structure analysed by a more experienced user without need to have access to the device
CEListFiles is easy to use:
connect your device to your DesktopPC via ActiveSync
select the folder you want to examine in the edit field ("/" for the all folders)
click the button bottom left
Attached you find the most recent version CEListFiles 1.5
If you like CEListFiles just buy me a beer.
I'm impressed: great work!
usefull for me too, let's test the speed

[Q] [nFinityGB-0.93] Reset of Gallery-Thumbnails

Hello.
I’m using nFinityGB-0.93 and have for a few days some problems with my Gallery.
As you can see in the screenshot, for my camera’s gallery I have two “folders”: “Kamerabilder” (camera pictures) and “Kameramedien” (camera media).

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Same situation for the screenshot-“folders”, even if on my filesystem only one folder exists:
And at the end you can see a folder, that contains two pictures, but if I open the gallery, the shown thumbnails are wrong – these are not my contact-pics
When the problem occurred first, I thought, that maybe there is an easy way to reset the gallery-thumbnails – therefore I have deleted all data from \\sdcard\DCIM\.thumbnails
Afterwards it become worse. Do you know any way to reinitiate the thumbnail-generation, so that the gallery will be updated from the scratch? Maybe kind of complete system-picture-scan?!
I hope, this would solve the problem of having wrong thumbnails or double thumbnail-“containers”/-“folders”.
Thanks,
Martin
i have kamerabilder and kameramedien also.thats normal...but the rest is very strange....sometimes a photo have a other preview than the original,but when you click on it the real pictures appears...its a little strange
i forgot to mention, that the path with the androidifys was already deleted a few days ago, so that it shouldn't appear anymore. and for sure never with the androidifys.
Sent from my HTC Tattoo using XDA App
i still don't know the root cause, but i solved it by renaming the files. after restarting the gallery, the thumbnails were reloaded and except of the two camera-galleries everything's fine now

Camera hangs on "Saving" after taking a picture

Whenever I take a picture, the lumia camera (or just the regular camera app) always says "Saving" on the screen and I can't get rid of the text in order to take another picture, even after restarting.
Here's a screen cap of what it looks like:

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Has anyone encountered this problem and know how to get rid of it? Thanks.
P.S. If it makes a difference, this is a Lumia 1520 running latest Windows 10 preview.
Eventually I just ended up doing a soft reset.
If anyone else here is having this issue and is worried about the picture not being there, it still saved the picture for me. If you go to the location where all your pictures are saved (usually somewhere in a folder named camera roll) and find a ".jpg.tmp" file, this can be renamed to just ".jpg" and you are able to see the picture.
Hi!
Almost people will recomend you to reset your phone. ( Always reset for any problem, I hate it).
I solve this with just formating my SD Card and specifying a cluster size bigger than default.
I suspect that "Saving" on camera is only because occurs an write overload on SD card. So, by using a cluster size bigger than default (Default is 32Kb If I'm not mistaken) you can increase your SD Card I/O.
I use the exFAT filesystem, with 256Kb. I used my computer to format the SD. My SD Card is a Extreme 32Gb.

Photos (stock camera) are sometimes corrupt!? 1x1px

Hello guys,
I have noticed blocks of obituary in the gallery as black. When opened it has an exclamation mark saying invalid or corrupt.
The strange thing is that it will either happen to ALL photos taken at the time, or just some of the photos taken.. E.g. 10 of 15 of the car (for example), or all 5 taken at time of documents before mailing, or 5 of 30 general photos.
1px x 1px 2.5MB
I cannot determine a pattern. Photos are stored in internal storage. 64GB ROM.
Is there an easy fix?
Or do I take a nandroid ADB backup and take it back for replacement?

Thanks @ronaldporter77
What driver needs to be updated?
This is the stock gallery app and stock camera app.
Take 25 photos and maybe 5 corrupt. Nothing like RAW or extremely large 360' panorama's or anything.
Thanks

I can suggest you to first update the driver as well as to use a different image editors. Sometimes, image editors are not compatible with certain image formats.
If still you cant view the photos then transfer the Photos to a system and run a "Photo Repair Tool" to fix the photos.

Strong Leap-S1 Android TV Box Writing Denied

Recently I have purchased both devices Strong Leap-S1 and Thomson THA100 , both are working fine, I have mounted external SD card on it.
I have noticed that if I run a ftp application on Thomson THA100 I can copy a movie to SD card of it.
However this is not possible on Leap-S1 , I can run ftp on it however I cant write anything on SD card on it. it shows Writing is denied.
May I know how to fix it?
Are you using the same microSD card on both devices? Or, if you are using different microSD cards in each device, are they both formatted the same way?
Is your build for the Strong different than the following:
Strong/HP4005/LAS:10/QTT5.200819.003/C2.0.6_20210317:user/release-keys
What about for the Thomson? Is the build date newer, older, or about the same as the Strong?
Strong licenses the Thomson name from Technicolor (S.A.), and the THA100 is identical to the Leap-S1, save for the color of the case and the remote style.
The firmware is very similar, although the bootloader for each is encrypted differently and there may be other slight differences. But if the build dates are close between the two, the operation of the firmware should be pretty much the same.

I have the same issue, without any solution yet. Is this an issue specific to the Leap S1 box or a general AndroidTV problem?
Same here, really annoyed about this fact. I like to copy movies/shows onto the device, hence I got a 64GB SD card and now I can't use it, but only have like 4GB space available. Why would such a blockade even be implemented?
