Hello all.
Im curious if there is a way to turn off the battery full notification. Im always using my phone as modem using usb tethering. But somehow when my phone reach 100% then an annoying pop up saying to unplug the phone to save energy always show and disconected my phone from internet connection.
I tried with g2 tweakbow to turn off the notification. The saving things is gone but not the pop up notification. It is always pop up asking me to renew the connection over and over.
Im using pardus 7.4 with stock kernel. Oh and i tried the batt full notification from xposed but it's say for sam*ung only.
Wondering if there is any tools to turn that off completely. Would be great if there is a way to turn off the usb charging.
Thank you.

Also set pc connection from setting to usb tethering as default and untick ask connection but no luck. Everytime my battery level is full, my phone always disconnected from usb tethering mode.
Any advice?

Can someone tell me how to disable the "charging complete" notification? I charge my phone by the bed and it wakes me up every night. I have a non-rooted phone.
Thanks!
I think the only way to do it without any modification is to put the phone in silent mode.

You can also just delete the sound from system/media/sounds/blahblah (cant remember preciesly)
I have seen that too. But don't you have to be rooted to move system files?
it was
mv /system/media/audio/ui/TW_Battery_caution.ogg /system/media/audio/ui/TW_Battery_caution.ogg.bak
But i get an error that i dont have permissions.
I think you only have to switch off the system volume.

This app seems to be working so far. Can another non-root user test it also to confirm? I guess ill know for sure tonight when im sleeping.
root your phone...it`s a must if you want to enjoy it ...
I am thinking about it. Im just kinda scared since its my work phone.
JVH seems to have made this worse. Even on silent and no vibration, it will vibrate when charging is complete. Stupid!
Other stupidities: if th ephone is too warm, it will show a pop-up that charging is not possible. When that popup is dismissed, it immediately reappears.
And it seems the charging method is changed: I cannot use the phone as a music player in the car when it is connected to car power: a continuous clicking/scratching sound appears. Didn't have that on 2.2.1...
Whats JVH?
Hi Guys,
I have a question about the update to version 4.1.2.
When I go to Settings > About > System update, I see that the update to 4.1.2 is found but it says that it is waiting to download but it stays like that forever and nothing happens.
Has anyone else seen such behavior? Do you know why it is happening and if it is normal?
Thanks!
Maybe a stupid question but... are you connected to WiFi when you see the message?

Make sure you have a good WiFi connection. The WiFi in my dorm shows a good connection (String signal) but the internet can sometimes timeout easily. Make sure your connection to the internet is superb.

Yes, I know what the arrows mean but my question is why this is happening? Is there a way for me to force the download? Or maybe I just have to wait more (it's been like this since yesterday)?
Try powering off the Nexus and then starting it up again. If that doesn't work, try using the technique to trick it into updating mentioned in this thread (yes, it's for a different situation but still worth a shot)

Hey, thanks for the suggestions. I tried powering off and on and it didn't work.
Then I tried the method to force stop the Google Services Framework and when I went to the System updates screen, I had the option to check for updates. I checked and I am back to where I was before - the update shows but is only "waiting to download"

I finally upgraded adb to show my device, but when i try using android commander it tells me the phone is offline. I think this "offline" mod is keeping me from install the hotspot mod. Just curious if anyone knew how to fix this "offline" issue.
You need to be using the latest adb to fix the "offline" issue. Type adb version to see what version you are using. I think the latest version is 1.0.31

I did use the latest and adb now shows the latest. But Android commander says it's still offline. I'm also having an issue install a simple mod and am wondering if this offline thing is causing issues.

I had that same issue when I first got adb going on this phone. I forget what I did to fix it though, I was drinking at the time. Be sure you have debugging turned on, and also be sure to watch your screen on the phone when you connect. There is a pop up asking something about rsa keys that you need to tap ok, and also check a box allowing it each time. Good luck.

No I think it's just the 4.2.2 locked up tight....I got the RSA key to come up once but I never got connected, going to setup ADB on another computer see if I can get that one right. I used it with my EVO before but the GS4 is killing me!!!!!
This has happened to me twice.
Once when I somehow didn't say it was ok to use the RSA key (I think i was drinking at the time), and once when I used some cheap USB cable that came with a cradle I had bought. I had heard people mention cables in the past, but never believed them until it happened to me.
Same cable works fine with my HTC... Samsungs USB can be funny at times...
I did install on my laptop and got the RSA key to come up but didn't help my problem. I can't get this hot spot mod to stick. I've used 4 different cables.

Hey guys
My Sony SP LED Bar is Flashing red and green
that happen suddenly for the 1st time
its happening while i am charging the LED is blinking Green and Red
Sorry for bad English
Any Idea?
I noticed the same about a week ago, but it happened once, and last weekend I reflashed .205 (not for 'LED problem') and I ain't see it again but was wierd indeed xD
Its charging.led ?

Once you plug the charger led bar wil turn red first and then orange (10-89%) or green (90-100%). Your flashing led probably means your charger isn't well connected because it may start charging, loose connection and start charging again

That way you won't have to disable notifications.. The flashing is caused by the phone disconnecting and connecting to the charger for some reason.

Firstly, please don't hijack other people's threads.
Furthermore, try installing Illumination Bar Notification by Rundgong. (see google play)

Bit of an annoying problem, my Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505 (Rooted) constantly restarts at random now and again, and it can be very frustrating.
Also, I have the app 'App Master', which when the phone is restarted it shows the boot up time. When my phone randomly restarts, the boot up time could literally say it took hours (It's went as high as 40 hours... not sure if this is relevant or will help but yea...)
Also I get logged out of everything (facebook, twitter...) whenever my phone restarts which is very annoying.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

See if the same happens in download mode too.
If yes..you have a stuck power button.
If no, have you removed all the knox related apps? they cause this too. Deknox your phone.
If still persists, data wipe or flash stock rom..disable knox first via recovery..then proceed with normal rooting..

Yeah. Knox is the culprit then.
Check the i9505 rooting methods and if any deknox script is there.
Or simply if you are rooted..install the "system app uninstaller" app from the play store..(a red recycle bin logo app) and delete all knox content.
Bdw you wont be able to use knox anyway if you have a knox trigger

Screen not being usable is the issue of the charger. Try changing the data cable.
Restarting issue could've been linked to a partial stuck power button or maybe because of an improper way of flashing or improper way of flashing kernels
Bdw did you change it or get it changed.?

Hello, it's a weird case.
Try to download the latest firmware available and update through Odin, then install a custom ROM (to fast de-Knox). Install CM11 M9 and leave original kernel, let your battery discharge until power off, connect to the charger and power on. Don't use it, see if charger more than 80% without reboots
