Same issue for me on x note s5 port rom.
Can send mms but cannot receive
Tried everything possible...trust me
Must be a bug somewhere

i keep telling them but they dont fit it.its the rom cause my stock rom does it with no problem

I test a lot of secmms_blue and sectelephony from different s5 rom. But i never receive 1mms.
Perhaps a developper can help us?

Since ive started flasing custom roms (mostly itje's roms) i keep having problems with MMS (sending and receiving).
When i send i get an error after 90%
When i receive an MMS i get a sms message with a link to the website of the provider.
Does anybody know a solution for this problem?

Although I haven't start flashing roms yet I have had the same problem myself. Go to http://www.telfort.nl/klantenservice/mobiel/vraagenantwoord/4906/. Choose "Mms werkt soms niet" after that the option "'mms: handmatig instellen'". After that choose telephone (obviously SEX1) and choose (again) MMS and Handmatig instellen. After that follow the (24) clearly explained steps. It worked for me.

That doesnt work for me, and other people with X1 (custom roms) cant send MMS also... i dunno..
I realy am sorry to ask this but was wondering if anybody out there, like me has problems recieving mms when applying a cooked rom.
Im an 02 user in the uk, and can only get mms to work when using a non cooked rom
Ive tried entering settings manualy like other sections of this forum advise but just cant get it to work, so.... If ure an o2 uk user, have a cooked rom applied and able to get mms to work please let me know....

Help Does any one have a updated rom besides damagecontrol? that rom is unstable now but i love it cus the mms and everything works no problem other roms work but no mms ..

I thought that mms was broke on a lot of other roms as well. But really its something borked on your phone. I searched and search for the answer to fix it but couldn't find one.
Damage 8.1 was the only rom that mms worked for me. Till yesterday.
I flashed an official rom then re rooted. Nandroid. Now mms works on all the roms that don't list it as a problem.

Edit. This might be the problem created long ago that is still messed up on your phone somehow.

Hi and I want to make everyone clear that this is my first post here at XDA.
This is only for the HTC EVO.
Im making it after several days of reading post and post and eveyone telling me that MMS on metropcs will not work if your phone has a PORT ROOM, exa: virus roms, myns, etc.
I have succesfully been able to achieve this by doing this steps which im going to explain to all of you.
Ok with all that clear lets start:
What you are going to need:
APN MANAGER
HANDCENT SMS
[AllianceROM][r7.3] HybriD 3D[Sense 2.1 OTA
STEPS:
1.Im supposing your phone its flashed already and that you flashed one of many ported roms out there and that your MMS are not working.
2. If you do or dont have any of those roms Im going to give you the one that worked for me ( Again im assuming this will work on VIRUS AND MYNS ROMS AS WELL BUT IM NOT SURE.

Which is a port from the shift and looks almost exactly to SENSE 3.0
3.Follow the steps on that forum on how to install it. Download the one thats NOT MODDED!! Very important!
4.After you do that and your phone boots up, Go ahead and install APN MANAGER From Market.
5.Follow the steps you always followed to get MMS working but never worked.
(note: if you dont know the steps i will post them if you need them)
6.Restar your phone
7.Install HANDCENT SMS
8. Now using HANDCENT SMS you should be able to send and receive MMS on your GB 2.3 SENSE 3.0 ROM.!!

i am not really understanding how to do this, can you please put more instructions on how to do the apn. I have been trying to get my mms working for a minute, but failed every single time.
Yes please be a little more specific as in a step by step listing of exactly what information needs to be entered and where. I personally do not have Metro but came across this site trying to help someone and your a little vague IMO on certain steps.

Hello guys, I have one big problem with my Mi A1 device…
Right now I have to choose between stock rom and somewhat of terrible WIFI or custom rom while being unable to send SMS messages…
I have even looked into smsc number but it is the same one that is on stock rom, but on custom rom even with the exact same smsc number I simply cant send SMS (getting "sms failed to send, touch to try again" error)
Do any of you guys know what to do ? because Im kind of desperate now… or is there any option to fix stock rom wifi to work properly like in custom roms ? I tried flashing the july modem fix but it did nothing for me…

Not sure about the Wi-Fi problem. I do not have it, but the part with sms happened to me also, when I manually activated volte on stock. Try deactivating volte to see if sms works after that.
