[Q] microphone NOT working while making call (L5(E612)) - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I'm currently having some problems with my L5(E612) ..i flashed with KTU84M][4.4.3][BETA 8] Unofficial CyanogenMod 11 Builds. When making or receiving a call, the microphone stops working completely, I hear the other person normally, but the other person can not hear me. The curious thing is that when I activate the speakerphone, the mic works normally. Another way that works normally is when I connect the headset and talk to your internal microphone.
Please help me, i need a fix

Try to make a logcat and post it here. Also does the mic works on voice search or sound recorder app?

Just to be clear, this problem started with the latest viber 2 upgrades, could be compatibility problem.
I had the same problem (without headset) and here is the solution that worked for me:
Go to Settings->Apps->Viber, press "Modify permissions" and set "Record audio" to "always ask".
Then launch Viber and make a call. Android will ask you for access to microphone and after that the problem will gone.
I have the same probelm, other party can't hear me. Above trick also did not work
Is there any new fix for this?

The same problem. Fixes from previous posts were useless . If you use a headset or handsfree all work without problems. Skype also works in any mode.
One more detail about this issue:
- An old version of Viber 5.6.1 installed works fine with sound but viber contact list is not synchronized - it is impossible to make freecalls and send viber messages. Only incomming calls and messages via viber channel.
Last version 5.7.1 can't be used for making free viber calls from Zuk Z1 phones
same problem here with the last rom 12
i have all trying without sucess, i have installed old version and works great and fast
here the version 5.6.0

anyone can try with other rom if this problem persist to all rom???

S7 Edge - Microphone not working in calls

Please help,
Samsung have returned my phone twice saying no fault found, but every time I make or receive a call there is no sound on the other end. The mic works for google search, video recording, voice recorder app etc, but as soon as I make a call no one can hear me at all. Any ideas welcome please before I end up selling it as faulty. Gutted and tearing my hair out!
Hey!
I have a similar issue with my S7. Microphone does not work only during the calls. Turning on speakerphone does not help (as it should when you have a broken bottom microphone) and also if I connect headset then the microphone from the headset works. In all other aps both (botom, top) microphones work (I do have stereo in video recording etc.). Did it happen to you after system update or when?
Cheers
A small update:
I have found that the issue is even more silly for me.
So I make a call and the person to whom I am calling cannot hear me. Then I connect a headphones, but ones without a microphone. And suddenly the microphone in the phone starts working. But the moment I disconnect them it stops.
Can you confirm this happening for you?
its old, but i have same problem. Now, I am trying to flash stock rom and see if it will work. After restart, I microphone works only once in call app, that it dont work. But i can record audio with it and in any other app it works. Idk what is the problem, but i want to find out

When i call someone (or call me), he cannot listen me!

When i call someone (or call me), he cannot listen me!
I thing that i have this problem after using of sound recording.
I need to restart the smartphone to resolve the problem.
Any idea?

Hi.
It might not help, but I've got a very similar problem.
My car has integrated Bluetooth.
As soon as I get in the car, then get out again (with the Bluetooth being connected), then I "lose" the microphone.
If I make/receive a call, the person on the other end can't hear me. Voice recording app shows no microphone activity.
If I turn Bluetooth off, the microphone starts working again.
As far as I know, this has only started happening since the most recent Wileyfox update.
Hope this helps.
Pete.

There is mic issue when I am on speaker phone and talking to someone. Other person don't hear me. When I call without using speak. It works fine.. Google voice command work fine too when I use OK Google and say what ever. It's only affecting incall application.
Anyone with same issue and way to solve?
Hello, same issue on my Mi 9T.
Waiting for an update to fix it.
Facing the same issue since MIUI 11 update.:crying:
Try to disable google assistant and reboot, it should fix it!
Put loudspeaker volume from 100% to 80%.
Problem solved ?
