1. Make sure you turn on USB Debugging in Developer Mode in Setting
2. Make sure Kies is turned off
3. Pull out your SD card (If have) and SIM card

I can not use my phone anymore, onlt thing I see is; Firmware upgrade encoutered an issue. Please select recovery mode in kies & try again.
And when I use recovery mode it says; This phone isn't supported.
But cause of this screen I can not set usb debugging in developer.

Is your phone locked bootloader?
Could you try again with different usb port, or flash the firmware with your relevant PIT file

Something else worked for me.
I've put american firmware on my phone.
I'll try later on to set Netherlands firmware.
Tho i'll have a phone again.
THanks for help!

HELP: I bricked my Note 3 (N900). Forget to enable USB debugging before flashing!

I have just bricked my newly-bought Note 3 (N900).
I wanted to flash the latest version of Note 3 via Odin 3.08 (from 4.3 to 4.4.2). I made a big mistake as I didn't enable the "USB DEBUGGING" mode before go to download mode.
I clicked start in Odin and it show FAIL!!!
After I restart the phone all I see on the screen is the message "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
I tried to recover it through Kies, but the it shows the phone is not connected or not support. Meaning the Kies cannot communicate with the phone at all.
I also tries to flash in Odin many times, but it still fails.
Please!!! Can anyone here give me some solution.
Thanks.

I tried many time already, but still fail. I think because the usb debugging mode was not enable at the first place.
Thank anyway.

Usb debugging has nothing to do with it failing when you're using odin. Try a different version of odin.
A simple reflash via Odin 1.85 or 3.07/3.04 will fix it.

USB Debugging has nothing to do with odin flash, make sure while flashing below steps.
1. Update boot loader is selected in odin.(Edit:for single file not required)
2. Disable antivirus.
3. make sure note 3 drivers are installed.
4. kies not running in bag round.
5.Clear Factory Data & Catch before flash.
if all of those step fail..
try to flash ur rom on other computer or laptop

You've indeed saved my day... I've been searching high and low, installing various versions of Odin3, downloading tonnes of tar, tarmd5, zip, etc.!
Pardon me for my ignorance, but I never intended to root my cell phone in the first place. I was merely following what Kies suggested, "A New Firmware, Wanna Upgrade?" Oh, truly? Gee, thanks! And **** it, it screwed up my GT-N7000, saying "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue..." and my cell phone never saw the daylight again, regardless how I started it, factory-reset mode wasn't possible at all, only download mode could be started up. Tried with various methods of Odin3 on multiple ROMS, to no avail, until I read your short reply. BAM! (As you put it...)
Thanks a bunch, mate!
I have a similar issue with my sm n900. Lost my imei and baseband, i needed to flash a custom rom to get my baseband before working on the imei, after flashing via odin phone boots to samsung logo then goes blank. And recovery says E failed to mount efs . But i need to use adb on my pc. So how can i possibly enabe usb debugging in order for adb to find my device?
Flashing a stock ROM from sammobile.com via Odin does not require USB debugging. Flashing a stock ROM will flash everything, including modem, bootloader, and recovery.

SM-G900H Soft bricked

Hello,
First of all my english is pretty bad. Sorry about that
Im trying to fix a soft bricked SM-G900H, it won't enter recovery mode, just download mode. The problem is that I'm trying to flash a stock rom but odin won't go pass "Initialzation". I have tried everything, I'm trying to flash without SD or Sim card, I also tried tu pull out the baterry and put it on after odin recognizes the phone, I have also reinstalled samsung usb drivers several times, and I'm sure that kies is not interfering in any way (no processes running in the background). I have too downloaded several stock roms with no avail. I tried with several versions of odin (3.07, 3.09, 3.10) and I did it with my laptop at home and my pc at my office, I even used different USB wires, And I keep getting always the same Error, odin stucks in "initialzation" step.
Please help me, I don't think the phone is totally bricked since it enters in download mode.
Btw, the download mode screen displays this:
Product name: SM-g900h
Current binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Official
Reactivation Lock: Off
Secure download: Enable
Knox Warranty void: 0
RP Swrev: A1
The phone is not mine, is a friend's... She said it got stuck in the samsung logo when she tried to turn it on in the morning, she knows nothing about phones so i'm pretty sure she wasnt trying to flash anything or root the phone..
I hope you could understand this post
Thanks for the help

Yes, I just verified antivirus and FW and also started odin as an admin
If it won't enter recovery mode, it sounds like there's a hardware fault with the phone, maybe a stuck button?

As far as I know, when a phone gets "soft bricked" it will let you enter in download mode but not recovery mode... I checked the buttons and they seem ok.

Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900F/SM-G901F continuously restarts

Hi all members of xda, sorry for my bad english, i will try to explain what exactly is happening with my phone.
I power it on, it`s vibrating and appear "Samsung Galaxy S5........POWERED by android", and that`s all, it continuously restarts itself until i remove the battery.
I can`t enter in recovery mode, it`s restarting from there continuously too... In download mode i can enter, and there at PRODUCT NAME it says is SM-G901F, but under the battery is SM-G900F.
In download Mode this is all what it says: "ODIN MODE (HIGH SPEED)
Product Name: SM-G901F
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System status: Custom
REACTIVATION LOCK: OFF
Knox Warranty Void: 0x0
Qualcomm Secureboot: ENABLE (CSB)
RP SWREV: S1, T1, R1, A1, P1
Secure Download: ENABLE
UDC START"
This is all.
So, i think that boy from who i bought the phone tryed to root it or flash it with another rom?
Can anyone help me please? Thank you.
What it says the model number is when in download mode is what needs to be believed. There seems to be a lot of this lately.....devices being marketed/sold as the more popular 900F variant when they are not.
You have to get the correct firmware from sammobile or samsung-updates and flash it with odin. I doubt it's the person who sold it to you as apparently nothing can change the info in download mode, and the sticker says something else. The seller may have tried to flash a 900F firmware, but that is probably all he's guilty of......
http://i.imgur.com/rVnFwJM.jpg
Thank you @keithross39, i flashed it but for the first time when he booted up, he passed the "Samsung Galaxy S5....Powered by android" screen, appeared T-Mobile and then he restarts again...and it don`t work yet....keeps restarting itself...
I have and printscreen with odin when it passed but i can`t put it, after 10 posts only.
So what can i do next? Any ideas? Some roms? Thanks.
Try accessing recovery now you have flashed (Vol up, home and power keys together) and wiping cache and/or wiping data/factory resetting.
http://i.imgur.com/rVnFwJM.jpg
@keithross39, appears in left up corner Recovery booting... but its restarting, doesn`t enter in recovery menu...
Can you tell me which version of Android you flashed?......
http://i.imgur.com/rVnFwJM.jpg
This one DTM-G901FXXU1BPA2-20160125170733 @keithross39
5.0.2 from Germany (T-Mobile).
Try flashing this........
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24399994186369572
It IS for the 901F, but it's what the hosting website calls a 'repair' firmware.
So it is supplied as separate files that have to be loaded into their corresponding 'slots' within Odin. I'm guessing it will be unbranded too. But being a repair firmware, it stands a better chance of successfully flashing and booting than a normal firmware.
http://i.imgur.com/rVnFwJM.jpg
Just finished to flash it and still keeps restarting, didn`t worked @keithross39
What about recovery now, can you access it and do the wipes?
http://i.imgur.com/rVnFwJM.jpg
No, keeps restarting... What if the owner accidently flashed rom for G901F but the phone model is G900F? It can be?
Download mode says 901F.....
AFAIK the info in download mode is hardcoded into the device and can't be changed.....
I can't see how it'd be any other variant....
http://i.imgur.com/rVnFwJM.jpg
Ok, so what i can do more? With box maybe it can be done? Or you don`t know @keithross39? I am very greatful for your time.
So far, everything you've tried would have put your device back to stock and wouldn't have affected knox.....
Knox is regularly used by Samsung to assess whether your device receives a warranty repair. As long as knox remains at 0x0 (as seen in download mode) your warranty is intact.....
Going custom is your only other option and that will trip knox and void your warranty. I can suggest how you can go custom, but it's up to you whether you want to torpedo your warranty when the ability to flash your device successfully is in question.
http://i.imgur.com/rVnFwJM.jpg
@keithross39 the warranty expired. If you say that custom rom will make it work, i say let`s try it...
Don't get me wrong fella....I'm not saying this WILL work.....
There is an element of risk whenever you attempt to modify a device. As I said, I can provide you the information that *should* set you along the correct path, but at the end of the day there are never any guarantees, and it's down to you whether you want to take the risk or not
http://i.imgur.com/rVnFwJM.jpg
Ok, i understand mate, i will take the risk, anyway what can go more wrong...
Lol....don't even *think* that sort of question, let alone type it on a public forum......
Ok....here goes, but first, the usual disclaimer....
"This information is provided for information only. Neither I, nor anybody else on XDA is liable if you choose to undertake the processes set out below. By choosing to complete the steps below, YOU are assuming responsibility for the working (or otherwise) condition of the device when the processes have been completed"......
Having said that, members of XDA will always voluntarily try to help you recover your device if things go wrong.
Get your TWRP from here.....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/development/recovery-team-win-recovery-project-t3110930
Get your SuperSU from here.....
https://download.chainfire.eu/696/supersu/
Follow these instructions.....
1) deactivate 'Reactivation Lock' (can be found under Security in Settings).
2) copy SuperSU zip to your device/external memory card.
3) boot into download mode.
4) Odin flash TWRP.
5) DO NOT allow phone to boot, (uncheck auto reboot in odin and if necessary remove the battery as soon as the TWRP flash has completed) then.....
6) boot directly into recovery. (Vol +, Power & Home button combination)
7) flash SuperSU zip.
You now have root and can flash your choice of custom rom for your device.
http://i.imgur.com/rVnFwJM.jpg
@keithross39, how can i make step 1? And i don`t know how to make step 2 neither... :-/
Step 1 can be (at least) checked by booting into download mode and reading the info on the screen. In your first post, your info showed that reactivation lock was off.....hopefully that hasn't changed.
Step 2 requires a micro SD card. You copy the SuperSU zip to that and put it into the phone.

Did i just brick my brand new A5 2016 ??!. Problem Solved

EDIT: Problem solved!!!
I used this tutorial: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sa...very-samsung-sm-a510f-fd-exynos7580-t3314399/ to install TWRP and root my SM-A510FD on 6.0.1 . My device was rooted and working perfectly until stupid me decided to turn off "OEM Unlock" and i restarted my phone and now it says "custom binary blocked by frp lock" The only thing i can do is go to the Download mode. I tried to use Samsung Kies and Smart Switch when in Download mode but they tell me that my device is not supported. But Odin detects my device and says "Added!!". I am currently downloading the stock firmware for my device from Sammobile and i plan to flash it using Odin.
- Will putting the firmware file in the AP section of odin and clicking start work to fix the problem? (I do not care if i will loose data)
- If this will not work is there anything else that i can do? I can't take it to repair because Knox is tripped and i do not have my receipt. If my phone is bricked forever please tell me so i don't waste my time trying to fix it.
Thank you so much in advance! Any help would be extremely appreciated!!

Just flash stock firmware and you are good to go, if it wont boot turn it off, reboot to recovery(stock) and wipe data & factory reset, later you can again flash twrp and root but dont turn off OEM unlock.

What about when my j7 says custom binary blocked by frp lock(boot.img) secure fail:kernel. It will boot into recovery, and download. Factory wipe does nothing, so recovery mode is useless to me at the moment. my computer detects the phone enough to say Unknown USB device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) driver error as the label of the phone. No matter what mode I'm in. Drivers are up to date, odins good, usb port, computer, and data cords are all good. I've flashed other phones and hooked this one up to another pc to see that it says the same thing. How do I get the computer and/or odin to agree with my phone enough to pick it up as a good device?

Need Help Please !!

Ok here's the scoop I have a Note 4 SM-N910W8 On Bell
A month or so ago for some odd reason it stopped connecting to any of my pc's with known good cable, so something went wrong with the MTP USB setting although it was enabled in phone settings. It did charge when plugged in to PC tho.
So the phone is rooted with TWRP & I wanted the stock recovery to try & fix the USB issue, so I downloaded Flashify & tried installing the stock recovery BUT now something also went wrong with the flash.
Now the phone will not boot to OS nor will it boot into recovery mode. It will however boot into ODIN Download mode, but this does me no good because it still will not connect to my PC.
Here's what happens when I try & boot when I press just the power button. The Samsung screen flashes for just a second & @ the top left in Blue it says RECOVERY BOOTING......
Could not do normal boot
Odin mode (High speed)
Product name: sm-n910w8
Current binary: custom
System status custom
Reactivation lock: off
Knox warranty void 0x1 (4)
qualcomm secureboot: enable (csb)
APswrev s1, r1, a1, p1
secure download : enable
udc start
I also get the exact same screen when I try & go into recovery (3 button up) mode, & when the phone is off then plugged into PC.
Once its plugged into pc I get no sound that Win7 has recognized it nor is anything to do with it in Device Manager.
3 button down odin mode works as normal but obviously my pc still does not recognize it..
Because it will not connect to ODIN is there anything I can do to fix this phone..??
Please help if you can in any way.
Thank You !!
EDIT: I'm also pretty sure it had the Emotion Kernel on it if that helps any

Yes I bought another used note 4 to replace this one & its recognized as soon as its plugged in as is all the other samsung devices I own.
Smart Switch also does not recognize the phone.. :/
I've tried Odin, Smart Switch, Kies, ADB, MobileGo, SkipSoft Toolkit, and probably a few other apps but none will recognize the phone. I doubt the mini USB port is damaged because the phone goes to download mode when it gets power from the pc or when plugged into a wall charger.
Looong shot.... But I was watching max's new video from high on Android on you tube on how to update the s7 to nougat..... Ok to the point he flashed the phone but couldn't get into recovery the standard way, he did this button combination I'd never see before. Watch the video and give that a go. Long shot

Anyone know where the jtag pins are on the sm-n910w8 ?
If one were to buy one of those jtag boxes, which work & which don't ?
I fixed my phn I had a faulty charge port + a messed up bootloader.
Anyway I need a new one & wondering if anyone knows if the N910T connectors are the same as sm-n910w8..
Peace
