I was just curious if anyone here has noticed that the LED on the G2 for notifications does not slowly fade in and out like almost every other Android device I've used. Instead, it just blinks. I much prefer the pretty fade of the LED. I'm currently using Light Flow to control my LED. I'm thinking that the phone only blinking the LED rather than fading is an issue with the kernel since I've flashed other ROMs (including AOSP based ROMs) and still am getting the same results. Additionally, I know that this is not a hardware limitation because when the G2 first boots up, the LED fades between green, blue, and off.
Has anyone else noticed this? Anyone have any way to have the LED fade rather than blink?

I am running Cyan 5.0.4.1 with desire black notification bar. Every time it boots up after the SD card check the right upper light flashes all sorts of colors. I know it lights up orange and green. Now it starts flashing all the colors my G1 LED was capable of for a quick second and then stops. Just wondering since I just noticed this.
Hi all.
When you charge your Flipout, a green light stays on by the MicroUSB port letting you know the phone is charging.
Is there a way to make this green light the notification light?
The default white notification lights on the front of the phone are kind of difficult to see.
I find myself sometimes squinting at the phone trying to determine if it's blinking or not. Obviously if you're in a dark room or something this won't be an issue but in a normal lit environment is where I spend most of my time.
If there is no way to make the green light act as a notification light, perhaps you can have the screen itself light up a few times.
Is anything like this possible or am I out of luck?
Thanks.
Hi, before I updated to kit kat my led would always be a solid red while the phone was charging, but this seems to have been taken away in kit kat! Is there anyway to reenable it?
EDIT: Also I've read people saying that this is a trade off between having the red led or having the led light up for notifications, but my led used to be red while charging, then when I had a notification it would display the normal led colour.
Thanks
Never had this. Even on JB there was never the red notification while charging and even now on KK.

The solid red light while charging was a custom Rom feature. NOT a JB feature. The KK builds are mostly stock and dont have alot of customisations built in. So you just have to wait until someone adds this LED feature in his rom
I've noticed that my LG G2's LED blinks on/off rather than my previous devices that have had a nice, smooth fade from off to on. I'm thinking that this is a kernel issue. It can't be a hardware limitation because the LEDs are able to smoothly fade during boot. Does anyone have some insight into this?

Rooted phone here.
The notification LED doesn't seem to be working for...notifications. No matter what kind, I can never tell I have a notification until I turn the screen on. Anyone have the same problem/solutions?
Not really, perhaps the problem is that it's only Red or Green, its not an RGB LED. I've seen it blinking when a whatsapp message comes in or if I have a missing call but it blinks too fast, so that's the problem and you can't change the timing either.
