S5 turns off silent mode while calling - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello.
I have the galaxy s5 and when i have it on silent mode and then make a call it turns all the sounds back on. So i have to put it on silent again. Is there some way to prevent the phone doing this by itself? Its anoying when your at your job and dont see the sounds are all ON.

hey guys,
i saw a video of the galaxy s3, where the phone automatically calls someone, when you put the phone to your ear from the text message screen.

Enable it at Settings, Motion, check Motion activation and then turn on direct call.
And you have to be using the stock messaging app.

I think that's only for calls and other notifications. Try going into the messaging app and then go into it's settings. There should be an option to turn vibration on

[Q] Pebble Connect task

I was wondering if there was a way to make my phone go into silent mode (ringer off) when my pebble smart watch connects and goes back to default ringer setting when disconnected. My only idea would be to use tasker but I've never used it before so wouldn't know how to set it up, any help appreciated
AutomateIt is a good app to try.
The command should be,
When Bluetooth on, turn phone on silent.

Lollipop notifications

This might be a stupid question and I'm sure it's been asked before but I can't find a thread about it...
At work I have my phone on silent and my watch still vibrated when I got emails or messages etc. I've recently upgraded to lollipop. Is there a way to allow watch to vibrate when phone is silent?
Sorry if its a silly question, still getting the hang on lollipops odd settings!

Yes you need to have the phone set to "silent" and not on priority, the phone will not make noise but the watch will vibrate. Make sure that the volume settings on the watch (when you pull down from the top) is a set to "interruptions." You can also turn on "mute connected phone" in setting on android wear.
