Minimum Stock 4.3 Ram Usage - Galaxy S III General

I have read users commenting on heavy usage of stock android 4.3. Today I checked ram usage and found this.

Better yet, don't use the phone and get even more free RAM. Or just turn it off..100% free RAM!

Try downloading the 'AVG tune up' I find this great for clearing caches, running apps, history cleaner, message and call cleaner and it seems to run perfectly, do you have a lot of apps downloaded because even though you might not have opened the app they can discreetly run without you being aware, also go to you settings and applications tab and scroll sideways til you come to processes and this is where you see everything running.

i upgraded to custom rom cm11m9. %25 diffirence and phone is good now. no stuck anymore

Hello,
RAM should be always free from running application because running application makes devise slow and hence it create bad performance.

Anyone try the new Juice Defender?

I had purchased it months ago when I got my Evo to save battery life but uninstalled it because the GUI was just horrible. I just downloaded it and the GUI has been made usable now. Oddly enough, JD is now able to control the CPU.
Has anyone given this a whirl?
the UI upgrade surprised me too. it takes a lot of poking around to get it really tuned in.

the old version was able to control the cpu as well
yes the new UI is great the maker just needs to fully support Gingerbread
I have been using it and recently did the update to the new one. I still use standard settings and it makes a difference on my phone. Think I am going to play with the settings to see what I can get.

I am a long-time fan, and I set it up with advanced settings. Helps a lot with battery life.

I didnt know the old one controlled CPU as well seeing as though I ditched it sometime in Nov.
Use JD in the past but I have good battery life anyway (using SetCPU profiles, this may help) so uninstalled it.
Just tried the new one. The new UI is nice but I can not get to any meaningful settings (e.g. the nice setting page in Biofall's posting), just choosing a preset configuration. Was the free version dumbed down?
I am using CM 6.1.2

Great battery life with my custom Rom

Hi people.
I have removed all Samsung customization, fitted in supercurio kernel, changed the Samsung launcher with stock nexus s launcher and today i have done a total tryout of the phone.
From 09.00 am to 20.30 pm, with a very heavy use (Bluetooth ad2pvfor music in my car, over 2hours of calls, 25 sms, and two hours of wifi using itunes remote control) i get now a 33% remaining.
Coming from a nexus s suoeramoled 9020 the difference is a lot.
And with a miui or a cyanogen i think will be best.
If someone would like to help me to extract this dump, i will be happy to share my work with all the community!

LOL, I don't think he actually built a custom ROM, more he customised the stock ROM but removing Samsung stuff and adding Gingerbread launcher..
Either way, that's the kind of battery life I want on my SGS2!

guys i love creed's v3.5 do u guys xperiencd high ram usage in creed v3.5?
its always 160+ in my RAM.. isnt this gonna drain my battery?
what is underclock? and how to do it?
try to freeze some bloatwares and use task killer or manually closed the apps
Underclock=Underclocking, also known as downclocking, is the practice of modifying a synchronous circuit's timing settings to run at a lower clock rate than it was specified to operate at. It may be said to be the computer equivalent of driving a car below the speed limit. Usually, underclocking is used to reduce a computer's power consumption and heat emission, sometimes also to increase the system's stability and compatibility. Underclocking may be implemented by the factory, but many computers and components are end user underclockable.
its like our SGY has 832mhz processor
when underclock to 624mhz max and 312 min it saves more battery
how to do it?? use NO fRills or SET CPU app
your kernel must have governors like smartass and schedulers
and Hit thanks if i help

use google its your bestfriend
Go to settings> applications> running applications
Check which apps are using ur ram and are u really dont wanna use them

[Q] User available storage space & camera/gallery starting speed

Hello,
I've searched the forum and haven't found any information on those 2 subjects, so I'm asking here, hopefully that's ok
First of all, I wanted to get a 32GB version of the S5, but it seems it won't be available for a while in Belgium, with no indication on a release date (the only thing I heard was "maybe in June when they release the other color models").
So I was thinking of getting the 16GB again, despite the need to use things like Foldermount, but I was wondering what the user available storage space is this time compared to the S4?
The other question I had was because of the review on Techradar (http://www.techradar.com/reviews/ph...ng-galaxy-s5-1226990/review/10#articleContent)
They say the following :
"I wasn't always impressed by the speed of the phone either - the camera could take a while to load, games sometimes showed lag and opening the gallery will always be a sticking point for me."
From what I heard elsewhere, the phone is pretty speedy for everything, so could you guys (who have tested out the phone already) confirm how it is for you?
Thanks!

Out of the box, the user gets 10.7GB free space on the 16GB model.

MY Z5c. RAM when using only 1 High-end App

This is sad, so annoying they made this model 2GB and not 3GB like the rest of Z5's
the only way to make this phone more future proof is to make swap partition i guess..

Yes, disabling movie creator has made the phone usable {after nougat got installed }..free ram is around 0.5 gb.
However, I feel like the phone was faster with mm

Agree with you, but nougat more usefull for me. For example, fingerprint works better on nougat. İt couldn't work properly before
Interesting! The fingerprint sensor has always worked flawlessly in my z5c, even back in its lollipop days
