Any news for Apollo?
I'm adding this to my tool. Give me some time.
Works!
I downloaded Towelroot, installed and ran it. Once it rebooted, I installed the apk's for SuperSU and RootChecker and confirmed the root. I was able to run KFHDX ToolKit and disable OTA. This worked on Apollo, 14.3.2.2.

Towelroot worked on my device below.
Kindle Fire HDX 8.9"
14.3.2.2_user_322095220
Worked on mine as well! 13.3.2.3.2_user_32301720 HDX7
Has anybody got Google play working with towelroot. If so how?

Check the hdxposed thread in the development board, it's fairly straightforward.
I was going to try installing Apollo Gapps v1.2 ROM once it finishes downloading, unless I can find another solution.
I am trying to block future updates by renaming otacerts.zip or adding to host file in ES Exploder, but it always fails. I got a prompt from Super SU and granted it, but those two updates still fail.
I checked that I had root with root checker and it claims I do...
try

Worked for me!
Kindle Fire HDX 7", 13.3.2.2_user_322095220
Added to the toolkit enjoy.
Google Play Store Works
I have a 8.9 HDX on firmware 14.3.2.3.2_323001720 and this root worked. After rooting I updated the binaries in SuperSU and then updated the modules and framework for the Xposed app. Everything is working without issues. I also left my kindle alone after I lost root the last time so I didn't have to reinstall any apks or anything. I can download and update apps from the play store.

As many of you may have seen on the main XDA website someone was able to port the gingerbread youtube app over to 2.1, i tried downloading it and deleted the stock youtube app and tried to install this with Super Manager but no luck, has anyone else tried?
I would like to see this working
Worked for me
I followed the instructions for in the Vibrant Thread and got this working.
Never used adb shell before but not hard at all.

Tried uninstalling through Titanium and then installing the new apk - didn't work. Followed the instructions here using adb - success.

For someone that rarely uses youtube period, whats the added benefit?
Got this working....alot more features and really smooth...
Just renamed it to YouTube.apk and pasted over the one in systemthrough root explorer, too much to bother to connect to a pc.

This worked for me. Don't have a computer with adb on it at work. Pretty nice upgrade to Youtube.
EDIT: By the way, this is NOT a Gingerbread app, it's an upgraded Froyo app. Gingerbread isn't even released yet, AFAIK.
I installed it during my morning commute straight from the phone. Works great. I have to get used to it after using the old one but this is more like using the website. It's nice.

Only available to those running 2.2
couldn't get it to work, but it works now!
Mine was working just fine and when I tried to open it again just now all I get is FC.
It was fun while it lasted, I guess. Good thing I still have the original youtube apk.

When I got my qe was 0/0 not 0/1
The first number is 0 - not rooted, 1 - rooted, 2 - error, the second number is 0 if the phone was never rooted and 1 if the phone was at least once detected as rooted.

Right, exactly. So no offense to the op been then what is the purposed of this method? If the device still has root who care if it says "qe 0/1" in recovery if you boot it up and superuser is install and su binarys are still there? If I flash the fxz I'm no longer rooted and it will say "qe 0/1" and anyone who knows to check knows I was root and my warenty is void.

easy xposed mod that hides root from isis. why do you want to mess with this?
Hey there - is there any way you could take a look at the link and tell me exactly what I have to type? I'm really new at this and I don't want to mess anything up. So far I've downloaded ADP and I'm able to get a serial number when I list devices. I've also downloaded the stock firmware. Please help I'm desperate.

Are you certain that you are writing 4.4 versions and not 4.3 versions? Everything kernel and recovery related is (slightly) different between 4.3 and 4.4, and because of the downgrade restrictions in 4.4 you can never write 4.3 stuff!
Yep tried different updated kernels.
Would the write protected has anything to do with it when i am in download mode?
After i updated to kitkat i also cant delete files anymore with a.o. xplore.
Maybe its related?
Grtz

Thanks man for your post.
I checked the reactivation lock box a while ago and that seemed to be the problem.
Already had the right kernel.
After installing cwm to become root had to install superSU 1.91.zip
Thru cwm.
The thick red sentence warning wasn't large enough ☺

That issue is covered in the deadly venom thread.
It's a Google post services issue. The latest update hoses themed gmail. Try uninstalling updates to Google play services then try reinstalling gmail. You can always copy the apk from the ROM zip to the system/app folder fix permissions and reboot.

And I was suppose to do the app permission?
Easiest fix is to just uninstall the themed version that came with venom, reboot your phone, then re-install Gmail from playstore.

Never mind. Thank you for your help gentleman. The uninstall/reboot/ reinstall worked this time
So I got by S7 Edge and wanted to install some Script fonts but every Font I installed keeps giving me an error saying it's not compatible. Are there any fonts out there yet that are compatible with marshmallow? I tried several with Play Store and the Samsung Apps store but no such luck. The fonts install but when you try to change it, that's when I get the error. Any ideas?

From my understanding flipfonts or any fonts from playstore won't work but fonts from Samsung app store works, I'm currently using one I downloaded from Samsung app store, not much selection in there though without pwying
the only way i've found to get access to tons of fonts is to install TEKHD's latest rom... that one has thousands of fonts built in and runs like a dream
here's a quick screenshot of the fonts installed with the rom, the list is massive... more than enough for anyone
