Hi XZ users and non XZ users
Today i was just playing with my XZ root and found how to change default android emojis:good:
So all you need is :
Root file manger (from play store)
AndroidEmoji.ttf (see down)
Lets get started:
Open your root file manger and copy androidEmoji.ttf to system/font and replace the old one
Set the permissions to rw-r-r anD then reboot
Go to xperia keyboard and press the emojis key and see the changes

Edit - I suppose not, as that's the Xperia keyboard in your screenshot. Here's a screenshot from my unmodified stock rom with the Xperia keyboard open.

I think they are sony stock
DiD you tried the both ttf files in the zip? The small size one ( 3kb ) is the yellow emojis and the ( 2mb ) one is thE black emojis.
DiD you got the "file with the samE name" massage in your file manger?
Did you set the right permissions??
Edit: now i understood what yOu meant sorry

No. I'm saying that I already have the emojis from the "after" screenshot, without having to use your files. ?
Did you get "before" and "after" the wrong way around?

Yeah i was have the yellow eMojis and i replaced them with the blacK ones
PS. Op updated with moRe emojis and another zip
Ps2. YOU can get androidemoji.ttf from any device or rom and they will work

So here u r trying to change the Yellow Emojis to Black Emojis. Right? If yes means ur tutorial is only for Android 4.4.2 Sony Devices. Other 4.3 users will confuse here. So edit OP and Mention about the 4.4.2 Matter...

I already have coloured emojis that the same as apple ones and samsung ones but maybe i cant put them here because i found them in @niaboc79's eXistenZ ultimate rom so i cant do that without he's permisson

colour emojis are not supported on anything under 4.4 .. so they cannot change it to yellow .

Lost options "reject with message". Other two pictures it's ok, with conversation from Nemesis rom.

The new battery icon is not as good as the original battery icon , and I suppose that when you run stamina mode the battery should have a + sign yet it doesn't, the same old icon appears

I'm using LMT because I hate navbar that takes up my screen. Stock sony launcher unfortunately leaves a gap if you get rid of navbar. I fixed it. Thanks @dipesh1502 for this tutorial. It really helped me.
Now the launcher uses the entire screen. I also added another row to the desktop.

He mentioned they used LMT, so this can be used like alternative soft key.
That's right. I'm using LMT instead of softkeys and gravitybox to remove the navbar.

I personally prefer mods that are not being hacked by anything in the runtime, but I might try to do that as an xposed module if you could point me to a guide of some kind.

OK.. So I have installed your modified home.apk into my system folder.. I've deleted my original home.apk and home.odex files... The launcher does remove the bottom gap.. but now the gap is at the top...
Very saddened by this.. I wanted a complete gapless xperia home launcher.. Without using anything else like nova or blinkfeed or anything
Any idea as to how I can now remove the top gap??
If needed I'll post a screenshot

i also have various Xposed modules installed, Xperia Xposed, GravityBox, Xperia V Mods, Xperia/AOSP NavBar Buttons, SEMCPhone Patcher, Screen Off Animation, GServiceFix, HeadsUp Notifications, GEM Xperia Xposed, Cyber-Shot Xposed, BootManager, BlinkChanger, BlackList, AppOps, Advanced Power Menu...
all of which are enabled with various tweaks amongst them enabled also
im running Stock KK 4.4.2, locked bootloader, dual recovery, SuperUserMod, rooted, SuperSU

Well, it has to be something in your modules as they're definitely modding Home.apk which is already modded. You'll have to check one-by-one which one is doing that.
Will update this home apk to the latest .108 firmware really soon.

Have you tried the build.prop edit that makes Holo Dark the default theme of the device? I tried it in JB, didnt work.

Sorry it wasn't build.prop but an edit to the styles.xml. Took me a while to find it again and I can't find the original thread that I used. But this thread had the same proceude only, use the .Dark codes. Here.

It just keeps getting better and better.
The kitkat firmware is very amusing and i wonder how many more secrets it hides from us
(btw its also an bug settings doesnt open up and neither does task manager(wanted to see how it changed)

I tried
And it was so freaking beautiful
But the only problem was
The phone and contacts app were not working along with the gallery app and settings app
Recent menu was working
Its just they were not working with the home button
I have assigned a gesture
And it was working with that

Is there a fix to remove that no sim icon and notification? tried the xposed module, didn't work for me.

It's a generic mod and can be flashed on ANY ROM.

I made it more for my porter/developer/themer brothers.
It'll be convenient to flash a zip rather replacing and editing files everytime!
But it can be used by anyone to add a few things to devices...
Its the initial version, so I've kept the number of files very less...
Now let's see what it does to your device...
Enables lockscreen rotation
Enables rotation in launcher
(CM users will get full rotation on locksreen and launcher too if it's enabled from settings)
New emojis (Google's latest release for 6.0.1 and up) added
(I'll suggest MM users too to try this, i found these ones better) :angel:
New lock and unlock sounds (extracted from iris x8)
Better ram management
Less lag in launching and switching apps
New stock font (not funky, but better than stock)
MORE ABOUT AP v.1.0:
I've kept things simple and less as this is the initial release
New stock font is elegant, not funky, thus, can be used while porting roms
(Users may switch to their favourite font thereafter)
Any suggestions/reviews are welcome
TESTS AND REVIEWS:
Already tested on stock KK/LP roms, CM 12.1, CM 13 and MIUI 8
AP can be used by anyone(Developers, Porters, Normal Users)
Just make sure you give me proper credits if u use it in your ROM.
[UPDATE]: Reported working flawless even on non-MTK devices such as Samsung and Nokia too

Just a query
Can i redirect users to my blog for downloads in my threads?
Faced some bugs.
This patch is really awesome as it makes my phone run smoother. However, i faced some bugs after flashing this patch. First is the face emojis on my stock keyboard (AOSP). Like smiley face, grin face, mad face, etc. I cant find any of them. I mean, they're gone on my phone. Another bug was when i am downloading any app on Playstore. The download is finish but it takes like 15 mins before it installs on my phone. Hope you could fix them. Thanks!

You may have faced that coz google has changed the emoji looks a lot
Its there, just looks changed
And the changed looks will only be visible to you
The people whom u send emojis will see it as it was earlier...
So don't worry
And this patch has nothing to do with apps installations...
Maybe something running in background in ur device...
Still I'll crosscheck once and keep ur review in mind in the next version...

But I didnt like the new emojis , I like the Xperia keyboard 7.3.A.0.2 emojis moreover , so flashed the xperia keyboard again,,,but m confused, will it uninstall your patch...
.
Plus it would be great if there had been uninstaller of your patch as well...reflashing the rom is kinda boring....
.
Further , awaiting your patch for batter mod [ It would be a lifesaver ]...my battery drains a lot :crying:

No, u can surely flash xperia keyboard patch, it won't harm my patch, just emojis will be changed
And yes I'll give an update soon and keep ur suggestions in mind...

I've attached a screenshot of my stock keyboard, and if you can notice there that there is no face emoji from the selection of emojis on my stock keyboard. And about the installing from playstore, i only encountered that when i flashed the patch. I will try to look for the culprit of my PS installation bug. Maybe, there's just something wrong on the background processes of my device.
