Was going to update the firmware with the official one that was released last week, but there is no go..
First Kies wanted to update (was on v1.) to the newest version (v2 - autoupdate).
When I'm connecting the Tab, Kies displays that there is an update ready for the Tab and asks if I would update. The first time I was asked if I wanted to install an update-app on the Tab (I agreed). Following the wizard and after the backup everything fails - connection to the Tab gets lost and it reconnects to Kies (giving me the message that there is an update ready). Been through the loop 15 times, but always the same result.
No mather what I do, the connection to the Tab is lost (lower right corner of Kies displays the message). Choosing No (on the update-message) and pushing 'update' on the main windows of the Tab results in the same error. Backup or no backup, same error. Yes/No to the option to send the phonenumber to Samsung - same as before. Nothing happens to the Tab before the connection is lost.
Restarted the PC and Tab several times.
OS: Win7 - 64bit.
Tried Compatibility Mode to XP SP3, full admin rights to Kies - but no.
Case closed.
After a rather long phonecall to Samsung support, I finnaly managed to update the Tab.
Roadtrip: uninstalled Kies, rebooted, downloaded and installed Kies, rebooted and then rebooted the Tab. Second time it allowed me to update.
So what version are you on now?

Why am I not able to "enable" WiFi on Samsung Galaxy S4 mobile. Model no. SHV-E300S?
Hello Everyone,
I'm facing a very irritating problem with my phone. Allow me to share some background of it so that its clear.
I stay in Mumbai, India. I recently bought a new Samsung Galaxy S4 (Model no. SHV-E300S) while returning from South Korea.
I have been using the phone for a week and it worked fine until a few days ago.
I'm unable to "enable" WiFi on my phone. Whenever I try to turn it on, it gets turned off automatically within a few seconds. Below are the things I tried but none of them seemed to work.
1. Restarted my phone over 10 times. - No success
2. Pulled out the battery while the phone was ON - No success
3. Pressed *#0011# and clicked WiFi in the Menu section and turned off the "Wifi power saving mode" - Worked for 2 days and then again not working
4. Hard Reset my phone - no success
5. I did not try rooting my phone as I'm unable to do so. Tried Kings Root (through Mobile and through PC) and many other applications but rooting failed everytime.
6. Reset the Wifi settings in the Wifi section of settings - No success
7. Kept Wifi on on during sleep as "Never" - no success
The Wifi button doesnt let me wwitch it off, and I'm unable to do anything. Please help me with your expertise if anyone has a solution. Please find the details of my phone below:
Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE
Model no. SHV-E300S
Android version: - 5.0.1
Please help......

This is a hardware problem or a problem within the kernel. But you say that you did a hardreset so I think it is a hardware problem. You should bring you phone back to the store and let them fix it

Probably hardware failure. If it was software then it wouldn't work at all. But it worked and suddenly stopped working, so it's hardware.
I just bought note 3 N9005 , with android 4.4.2 , but the software update tab in the settings is not appearing , and when I used setting search and click on update it displays error message " unfortunately settings has stopped" , I tried to flash it with lollipop , but I noticed that in the ODIN download mode that my phone model is N900P not N9005 as it seen on the box and in the battery area .. and the flashing FAILED , then I discovered that the IMEI is different in the settings that from the written one in the back of the battery area .....
what is the wrong with this mobile ?? and how can I fix it ??
P.S. the mobile is working fine now in this status but I want to be able to update ...

It's possible that you bought a Franki. Install this APP and add screenshots to help you better with your model.
* Council: Return the device to the seller if you can fastly.
Boot into download mode. The model # will be displayed. You can then boot into recovery mode. I think the second line will give you the recovery version.
You can then compare the two items to the firmware on sammobile.com to help verify the motherboard in the phone.
I have a problem: I have rooted S5 Neo (didnt found s5 neo from forum) and i just wiped/factory reseted my phone and now im trying to start phone using again and it needs to check connection when starting using this phone from factory settings.. I have 4G connection (not WiFi) and before checking connection it asks ''Do you want to use Google Location Services?'' and i dont even have Google Location Services or Maps anymore because i just removed these bloatware apps.. Thats why i clicked ''dont use Googles location services'' and next step is that it is ''Checking Connection'' and this step keeps going for 12 hours and nothing happens.. Its still loading the ''Checking Connection''.. So it doesnt find my 4G connection or it tries to enable Google location services that means its no possible to go to next step.. I think that would be possible too.. But the problem is: It stuck to load ''Checking Connection''-step after wipe and starting use phone. So i cannot start to use this phone again. Please help.
Have u tried to connect to a wifi?
Or try to turn on airplane mode before ''Checking Connection'' step ..
