Probably because you have a vpn configured or something like that.

Nope.. I didnt set up any VPN connections or anything else...
This is the translation in english:
Disabled by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage.
So you either installed an app that forces this, you encryped your device, a setting you set on or something similair.
It can be multiple things.

Setting up a vpn connection or installing wifi certificates is forcing to use a pin or a password.
And there are some ways to edit the lockscreen.db in dada/system...
BUT now with the s5 we have fingerprint sensor, which is quite nice to use and I'd like to know
if there is a way to remove the restrictions of using a pin/pass as mentioned above
to setup fingerprint after installing all the certs.
Of course the first thing "not beeing forced to use a different locking method" would be prefered.
I tried to set the lockscreen.password.type to the number of the fingerprint sensor, but this did not work, and it deleted the wifi-certificates.
Any ideas?
I tried to backup the folders
/data/misc/keychain
/data/misc/keystore
with a root explorer and wiped the certs from the device.
Set fingerprint as a locking methode and copied the mentioned folders back there.
Now I see my wifi with the certs, but it seems not to be installed correctly, since I can't see it in "security/trusted user certs".
Anyone with another hint on how to solve that?
I want to change my lock screen type to pattern but I cant click it! It says: "Disabled by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage."
Help!
Looks like there's an app that has upped the security level. Check under Settings --> General --> Security --> Device Administrators. It should only list KNOX and Android Device Manager (if you enabled that).
In your another thread u said u encrypt your phone right? If you read encryption rule u will not ask such a question over here, once u encrypt u have only one option to lock your phone.

I have unlocked and installed magisk, I can't change apn in the settings, use script to disable ipv6 but immediately restore the default.
You can create a new APN maybe? I was not able to edit the T-Mobile APN that loads automatically with the SIM card, but I could create another one to tweak things like that

I also thought of this method, but due to system reasons, apn will only select the first access point by default and cannot be changed, so this method is invalid.

Ah ok, I wonder why you are not able to select a different APN? When I create a new one, I am able to click the circle next to it and have the phone switch to that one.

Because of system bugs, I used China Telecom's sim card.
I use a script to disable ipv6
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/rmnet_data1/disable_ipv6
But I found out
cat /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/rmnet_data1/disable_ipv6
The value has changed back to 0

...just curious, what's wrong with ipv6? I enabled both of them, 4&6.

Ipv6 has no problems, but the environment I use is a bit special, so I need to disable ipv6
I have found a way to use
Echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/remnet_data1/accept_ra
Echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/remnet_data1/disable_ipv6
Then restart lte
Hi,
I'm using Lineage 16 from Haky. Is there any way to enable full phone encryption ?
In case this is not possible, is there any custom ROM supporting it ?
To be more precise, i'd like to sync some personal datas with my phone. I'm using SyncMe Wireless, which is not encrypting saves. Is there another way (ie with a local vault) to encrypt theses datas on the fly ?
Thank you !
Noone ??

Nope, you're wrong.
You can check the encryption status in Parameters -> Security & Localisation -> advanced options -> Encryption and logins.
