E7 Camera Quality - GiONEE Elife E7

Last week i was in Kashmir. I took some photos with it.
Bright ones are HDR.
there were issue in some of images I'll upload it later. Actual image size go around 5mb+ these are compressed images.
It does over saturate its color in HDR mode.

capture it in normal mode with flash on in low light
but sometimes you will get blurry image.
and yes it is supposed to turn off flash itself in night mode because camera capture and absorb light of other sources to able to achieve bright image in night mode.

[Q] E-ink bleeding/ghosting in Fast Mode

I installed the OC kernel/fast mode from this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1906507&page=7
and it works well, but I have a lot of bleeding and ghosting going on. IE. The outline or parts of images stay after I start zooming/panning, basically doing anything. Is there anyway to get rid of the bleeding?
Fast mode does degrade display quality - it's not that good for reading in fast mode, imo - but is helpful for things that redraw the whole screen.
If you just use the overclock and change the governor to performance, the quality of the display isn't affected and you get a performance benefit. I briefly tried locking the cpu at the higher end of the frequency range, which is noticable but I suspect drains the battery more than needed.

Try clearing "dalvik cache".
Have you flashed the latest kernel 166?

For viewing images I use "JustPictures!". For PDF's, 'EzPDF' and 'Ebooka'.
The ghosting is hardly noticeable.
Here is compare of fast mode and no refresh on my nook. fast mode has a high loss of contrast and a lot of ghosting.I preffer no refresh. Program is EBookDroid.
Thanks for the suggestions, guys!
I'll try them out and see if they work.

[Q] MDL to MF9, taking pictures say Processing

I upgraded from stock + root MDL to stock + root MF9. Now sometimes when I take pictures, it says Processing and takes a bit to get back to being able to take pictures. I'm not sure what it's doing and it doesn't do it all the time. Any one know what's going on? Taking pictures of my son and that delay is causing some missed opportunities.
First time I started camera after upgrade to MF9, it said something about updating camera.
Thanks.
I noticed this happened a couple days ago to me and found that when I was zoomed in that is when it would say processing, but if I was zoomed all the way out there was no processing lag. Not sure why it has the processing time while it was zoomed in.
Never used zoom on the pictures that say Processing.
Turn off "auto night detection" should do the trick.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using xda app-developers app
Going to give that a try. Thanks.
What mode are you in? Many of the modes require extra processing time like HDR, Drama Shot, Animation, etc. If you are in Auto, then something else might be wrong. Are you saving to the external sdcard, if so, is your card full or slow?

Galaxy S5 camera is laggy

I've searched around and I could not find a way to fix my problem.
Its quite simple to explain I guess... whenever I move my phone around to take a photo, it gets very laggy. The image preview that I see at the screen gets very laggy and out of time (it takes a few seconds to show up on the phone after something moved).
I have tried all the modes and the weird thing is that I haven't experienced lag on the Shot and More mode. However that's not convenient (at least for me) since it's gonna take forever to take the picture since it takes a few of them. On the auto mode and the beauty thing mode the picture preview on the screen provided by the camera is still very very laggy.
Photo stabilization IS off and HDR mode is off as well. Picture quality is set to HD (16 mp)
Soooo any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Your description is a bit vague. To the limits of the information you provide, it sounds like normal behaviour. You imply that it works fine before you move it. And as one would expect when you change the scene, the camera has to recalculate focus, exposure and everything else which takes a finite amount of time. Moreover you are using the camera at it's maximum resolution where such adjustments would take the maximum amount of time.
And plausibly the effect is minimized when you use a multiple shot mode where you would expect the camera to be optimized for sequential adjustments.
Unfortunately you didn't give us any details of whether it changes when you select lower resolutions, type of scenes shot, lighting, type of focus used or any other details. Looking for a pattern or even having a more detailed description would help eliminate some possibilities an d more accurately characterize the issue.
Based on the limited information provided, it sounds normal. Just the limit of the camera design.

Actually, to me, it doesn't sound normal at all!
I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding him or you are, but what I got from his message is that it's not a focus lag, but the the actual image that appears on the screen that lags behind what the camera is currently being aimed at.
He says that if something moves, it will take a few seconds before you see that it has moved on the screen.
In addition, the fact that in Shot & More mode, it doesn't happen seems to confirm that something's wrong.

To good thing (hopefully) is that it seems that it's a software problem, and not hardware, because otherwise you probably would have the same issue in Shot & More mode.
I don't know if you have a custom rom, or if you're still stock, but you might want to try to reflash your rom over the current one first, and if that doesn't work, you may have to do a full wipe.
If you're using a custom rom, you might want to try a different rom altogether (+ full wipe) to see if it makes a difference.
If you decide to go down that road, please read the corresponding thread(custom, stock, ... for your model) to avoid bricking your phone..

Yes, you got it right. Thanks.
Uhm, I'm using the default rom (the one that came with my phone when I bought it)
By the way I could not log in back to my old account so I created this second one lol, sorry about it.
Anyway do you need any more info?
How do I reflash my rom? Sorry I don't know these terms too well :c

You could go to the Android Development section and read all about it, but if you've never done it and are not comfortable with it, it might be better to just do a factory reset of your device (make sure to backup everything you want to keep first), or check if there's an update (Software update in the settings).

[Q] Green line appearing in some photos?

I've had my S5 with Verizon for a bit over 5 months, and really enjoy it, overall! The past couple months, since the last update, I had been noticing green lines appearing in some of my pictures. I can't quite sort out what makes the line appear, but it occurs roughly 50% of the time, regardless of light conditions, HDR settings, and zoom. I shoot mostly in 16MP, and never use the flash.
Verizon replaced my phone under warranty, but not even an hour out of the box, and the new one is doing the exact same thing.
Any ideas? I attached a photo with the green line appearing.
Thanks for the help!
That is very interesting. Do you use the stock camera software or a third party app?

The phone is "fresh out of the box" from Verizon. Only using the OEM camera app. The phone that was replaced under warranty was doing the exact same thing. The only common denominator that I've found is that if I zoom in, even just a small bit, I'm almost guaranteed to have a green line. If I don't touch the zoom, it's a 50-50 chance I'll get one. Different MP sizes, HDR, flash, all seem to have no effect on whether or not the line appears. Truly got me stumped.
The only observation I've made that really points to "software" issue would be that if I take pictures with the instagram app, I never get a green line, zoom'd or not. But at the end of the day, who wants to use that app for taking pictures?

Auto detect night scene option?

When I enable this option it's supposed to detect the night scenes and thus switch to the longer exp night shot. But I've taken a couple of pictures and no signs it did altough it should have been. Or am I missing something?
