LG Email (4.4.2) without exchange security please - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

HI, is there anyone that can mod the LG Email app to bypass exchange security, I know there were older versions but when using those on 4.4.2 some functionality aint working. I have tried the xposed bypass security modules but none work on LG Email 4.4.2 (stock ROM), thanks

Bump, anyone?

Just so I'm clear on what you're asking, you can't setup the stock email app because every time you try and set it up an error says wrong email/password, correct?

I've tried every possible way, and couldn't get it work on the LG stock email client. Finally shifted to Nine.

Thanks for trying, appreciated

Hello, at&t has pulled the update due to glitches. Some people reported that their phones wouldn't even turn on. Also you can't update your at&t galaxy s4 on Kies because at&t put a block on that... The reason they did that is so they can add all of their NSA crapware to your phone and lock it so you can't modify it as easy. If you really want 4.3 I would install a custom ROM. I'm still on 4.2.2 rooted. 4.3 isn't all that good anyway. Nothing new.

I did the same thing as you set it to 2015 and it let me look for updates, but it says update interrupted. Idk why but yeah. Maybe because I'm rooted idk. I wasn't updating anyway until a root method came out for mk2. Hopefully you can get it. If not take it to Best Buy and they can hook you up.

i just checked mine and it still says i have to wait over 24hrs, so even tho my time and date are back to normal the update software still picks up when i fast forwarded my time/date. just a thought here, but i think the only way to reset that could be to flash back to stock with odin, but you would lose all data doing this. so its either probably doing that or keep trying to fast forward your time and checking.

Losing service constantly - cannot get LTE

I've been doing searches for a while and I haven't been able to figure out why this is going on. I was on Kangabean and just recently started losing service once in a while and had a hard time getting LTE. I upgraded to the latest Kit Kat version of the same rom and updated my baseband a few times using different ones and although it has improved, I'm still in the same boat. What I'm wondering is if this is an issue with the rom or if it is with hardware.
You have to have the 4.3 modem on 4.4 to get rid of the data drops. Also make sure you have your APN settings correct. PTA seems to be the best one for LTE. Google will help with finding that.

Prevent Verizon OTA

What .apk do I need to freeze?
I've looked around but can't find a straight answer. I can't find the sdm.apk suggested in other threads. I found a SDMPlugin.apk. Is that it?
I'm currently running VS98011A with TWRP 2.6.3.3.
Thanks
Edit: I think its Software update MUC 6.4.1.2_B02-LG

I have the same problem, but I cannot find Software udpate MUC 6.4.1.2_B02-LG on my VS980 G2, nor can I find any obvious OTA updater software. I cannot long click on the update notification, and if I try to take the OTA update it errs out as mentioned by others previously (I have only rooted and done the wifi hotspot mod).
Can you tell me where to find that update file, or what exactly to freeze on a VZW G2?

If you have Titanium Backup, scroll through the apps under "Backup/Restore" until you find "Software update MUC 6.4.1.2_B02-LG". Long press and the "Special Features" menu appears. Swipe right to get to the "Backup Properties". Select "Freeze!" That should do it.

Thanks for that, I appreciate the very specific instructions. Out of frustration, I flashed the XDABBEB's VS98024A custom ROM and it is working nicely. So I guess that will solve my need to freeze the OTA update.

I've had my eye on that ROM and have been following the thread but I've been hesitant to install a ROM on my new G2. ROMs always have something that doesn't work right and right now everything is working fine on the G2 (well, except I can't get KitKat but I don't think I want it anyway). But this ROM seems to be one of the more stable out there. Post an update into the XDABBEB thread after a few weeks letting us know what you think of it.

Question about dialer dialer not hanging up.

Has anybody run into this problem (or something similar) :
Slim: I changed over to omnirom and when I press hang up the hang button greys out and it reads "hanging up" in the bar across the top but does not end the call.
Details:
SPH-L720
Android 4.4.2
Baseband Mdc
Kernel 3.4.75 omnirom stock
Omni version 4.4.2-20131225-jfltespr-nightly
I'm running mdc modem for a domestic unlock to tmobile and can upgrade to mf9 and keep the unlock. I've had this combo working 100% in Sacs rom before as well.
I've tried several different dialer apps from the play store
I've tried the post install flash zip from Omni
I've wiped the data and cache of the app itself and rebooted
I've wiped data, cache and dalvik , factory reset and rebooted
I need some advice on how to use logcat to properly log the details of the phone APK and how to read or interpret those logs and if that is even the best way to diagnose the problem.
I will also try to reinstall via odin the MDC modem only or possibly move up to mf9 if that doesn't work. I figure that the reinstall or upgrade paired with a fresh reset might do the trick.
Other than that any ideas are welcome.

Word brother, I rolled it back to sacs v8 and it got me going for all calls etc. I was really just beating my head against the wall trying to use an aokp or aosp rom instead of toichwiz bit I can live with sacs rom for sure. Are you saying you did the full modem upgrade to mk2?if so I'd think that would work with KitKat roms, does it not?
I had this problem and it was an xposed module causing it. If you run any xposed modules you might want to check there.
