There should be settings for HU besides the OS setting. Can you locate the HU settings?
Beep can be turned off from there, at least for the Joying ones.

Trying figure out what I have and how to factory reset it or install a custom rom

I am trying to factory reset my head unit. But I don't even know what brand it is. I have tried different codes all over the place the closest I got to deep settings was 3711. But nothing to factory reset this device.
