I personally don't own this device but I'm assuming it should be the same as other devices.
Menu>Settings>More Settings (under wireless and network)>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names.
From there you can either edit an existing APN or add a new one to use.

[Q] Any APN problems? Do you know an app for 3G Network Settings

Hi. I'm trying to connect Huawei E1750 to my Adam, but I couldn't have made it so far. There are two problems I'm facing:
1) When I try to change APN's MCC value from 310 to 286, the APN dissappears from the settings after I save it. If I try make a new APN with MCC value something except 310, it won't show up after I save it and return to APN list.
I tried APN Manager, and I could see the APN's I created (with MCC 286) are there and I could sellect those APN's from there but I didn't affect to the device's APN at all, when I tried to connect, it still tells that I need to choose an APN.
2) I really need a application for 3G Network Settings, the one that I can add or delete 3G Networks, like in the photos. The photos are from cheap ZT-180 Android Tablet, why they have and we don't, this shouldn't be so hard to configure
Can anybody please help me?
Thanks in advance.

How to change APN?

I've switch to a new carrier and they do not support my LG Quantum. The phone and text works perfectly, but I was told I need to change the APN settings in order to get the 3G to work. I've searched, but unable to find how to change my APN.
*EDIT:
I have resolved my problem. I used the MFG app to change the APN, but the thing that gave me trouble was the carrier provided me with the wrong APN settings. After entering the correct APN setting it was like the flood gates opened and my phone came alive with several alerts!
APN
可以去SYSTEM/ETC中找到apn.conf..里面是apn接入点设置。。。
There is also a specialized app for this kind of stuff named "Network Setup". It is available in the "LG Apps store".
It will make most of the setup for the selected operator.

Configuring APN on Verizon S5

Hi There,
I have rooted verizon S5 with GV.
Just switched to use Hangout instead of GV for sms. SMSs are working fine, however, MMSs are not working. I can send, but can't receive. I was hoping to change APN, unfortunately, when I change APN in hangout, it is not get saved (except for if I change the port only) and I don't have an option to change APN in the phone settings. Create a new APN (a plus sign) is greyed out.
Please advise...

Huhmm, it seems the firmware has blocked the ability to edit or change the APN.
You may need to flash another unbrand firmware to bypass it.

Yeah, I've contacted both Verizon and Samsung and Samsung rep told me that they blocked the ability to change APN. The setting that I have now is the default one and can be changed by Samsung (or custom ROM).
Trying to get in touch with Google if they have plans to override firmware APN since they have APN configuration option in hangouts.

If it does not work, you can flash unbrand firmware.

Send feedback to google hangouts, no response yet (usual for Google
However, found apn-conf.xml in /system/etc/ which has conf data for multiple situation (internet, roaming and etc.)
I've changed the original settings to apn type (removed dup and added mms) and port (port=80), however, when I try to change MCC and MNC to the settings provided by Verizon rep, APN fail and phone doesn't have any internet connection. The original settings are MCC=311 and MNC=480... Verizon (and a lot of sites on the internet) recommends to use MCC=310 and MNC=012

Regarding firmware: I feel a little skeptical about unbranded firmware. I'll have to remove all my configurations and it will void the warranty. Besides, I like Samsung dialer. In any case, what unbranded firmware would you recommend?

1- apn-conf.xml is a file used for auto configuration at the initial step. It will NOT actually affect your current APN settings.
2- Typically you should not manually modify the MCC-MNC parameter. If you want to do so, you need enter the proper value. To obtain the right MCC-MNC value for your network, install Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app, scroll down to the MISC INFO section and see "Mobile Network Code" info.

I found a new firmware from VZN (4.4.4). Do you know if my rooting will be broken after I upgrade to it?

There is an instruction how to update and keep root for Verizon Galaxy Note 3.
You can try it if you want. Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55518593&postcount=7
