But how do i change my apn settings, when i try do this the options i select turn grey for a moment but i can't change the APN settings at all.
I've been doing this on android for many years and the G2 is the first device to give me a problem...

Hey all,
Can anyone please help me change the APN on my Sprint Tab?
I read that I need to go to Mobile Networks in settings but it is not there. The mobile network button says "set options for roaming, networks, APNs" but when I open it there is nothing relating to APN.
any ideas?

i realise that this post is rather old, but i have an answer in case the poster never got resolution.
apn manager in the app market, great for creating, using, and switching between apn profiles.
I bought an unlocked T-Mobile HTC HD2 and flashed to android. My MMS and t-zones is not working and I can't set it up. I tried going to settings-wireless & networks-mobile networks and go into Access Point Names but there is no option to add anything! It is just a black screen with APNs on the top left corner. What is wrong with my phone??? Please help I have searched everywhere and can not figure out what's wrong. Before I flashed to Android, I was able to use MMS and t-zones without setting it up and now it is gone with android! It is a new phone and I haven't even used it other than testing it before I flashed it when I got it yesterday.
when you were at the apn screen, did you hit the menu button and see the options to add new apn or rest to default? youll need to hit thenew apn button to add a new apn.
I found it!!! I thought the menu option would be on the screen and that's what I was looking for. I didn't know the middle button on the phone is for the menu. Thanks so much!!
I've switch to a new carrier and they do not support my LG Quantum. The phone and text works perfectly, but I was told I need to change the APN settings in order to get the 3G to work. I've searched, but unable to find how to change my APN.
*EDIT:
I have resolved my problem. I used the MFG app to change the APN, but the thing that gave me trouble was the carrier provided me with the wrong APN settings. After entering the correct APN setting it was like the flood gates opened and my phone came alive with several alerts!
APN
可以去SYSTEM/ETC中找到apn.conf..里面是apn接入点设置。。。
There is also a specialized app for this kind of stuff named "Network Setup". It is available in the "LG Apps store".
It will make most of the setup for the selected operator.
Hello,
I know it's a question that has been asked many a time about Samsung phones but a slightly different tack.
I don't actually want to receive or send MMS at all, EVER!
Can I completely disable MMS on my Note 3 ?
I've looked at my APN but it doesn't seem to let me change any settings, they're all greyed out and non editable. Do I need to set up an new APN or something without MMS settings or something....
Any thoughts anyone ?

Make a note of your APN details before doing this, delete it, then just recreate it but make sure the MMS details are missing or the APN type is set to Internet rather than Internet and MMS. You need to be rooted.
Oh, and you posted this in the wrong section.
