I press ok
And it say what method I want to use.
I choose normal.

Reroot. If it ask again to update binary try to choose to update thru recovery(i believe that's another option than normal)

xxudmh8 is using a new locked bootloader for KNOX implementation. Have you use the latest CF-autoroot by Chainfire?
If the SuperSU version is not v1.60 or higher then you may need to reroot your phone using the latest CF autoroot:
http://download.chainfire.eu/316/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.zip
Latest version of SuperSU is v1.65, probably you can try to update from Google Play or download the flashable zip file from:
http://download.chainfire.eu/351/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.65.zip
If I download and reflash xxudmh8 via odin from sammobile will it remove my root?

You may reflash XXUDMH8 via odin, after that root will be removed. You can root again using latest CF-Autoroot.
Do full factory reset before and after flashing to avoid unexpected problem.
If I root can I then go back to previous firmware or does the new one stop you from doing this??

I'm just going to reply to tell you to stop bumping your thread after such miserable amounts of time. I hope you got excited that there was a reply, and I also hope that you were bitterly disappointed. This isn't a 'fix ma problem' board, and the least you can do is wait it out for a reply. :banghead:

Don't think you can your going to have to root again
You can download the firmware from sammobile and flash it via mobile odin. You will keep root. And knox counter 0x0 as well. Forget ota.

So the ota won't stop asking me to update till I update though Odin

Knox counter will stay 0x0 only with the old bootloader
And, I believe, Mobile ODIN won't flash the new bootloader so you can go back to a lower version of firmware.
Also, Mobile ODIN will retain root so you don't need to reroot and potentially/will trigger warranty void...

Plug it into a computer and there will be a program that tries to install "Verizon Software Update Assistant" or something like that. Install the program and you will be able to update to the new baseband, MJE. Make sure your device is not rooted and there is no custom recovery. (safestrap) Updating through this process can take up to 45 mins so just be cool and let it do its thing.

I'd back-up your data, then flash the .tar file in this post via Odin 3.09:

No OTA needed. I went from J7 straight to JE
OK thx

No have to get updates from www.sammobile.com, you will lose root so have to root again
So I have to download updates and then flash it with odin no OTA :/
Thanks mate!

Yes you still can..I am rooted got ota updates but just make sure you install xposed and get wanam xposed and tick the fake system status so it would show official and you'll still get ota updates..just make sure you revert back to stock recovery upon getting the ota updates and then you're good to go

Hi everyone,
I am currently rooted with Towelroot and fairly familiar with rooting.
I am wondering if I were to root my note 3 now, will towel root interfere with anything? Do I follow the guides verbatim or are there any special things I need to take note of?
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Free mobile app
Just download the app open it and push the symbol in the app. It will root. Granted your on 4.4.2 no it will not mess with anything.
Sent from my SM-N900A using XDA Free mobile app
So I'm rooted now, all I need to do is to follow the instructions on twrp recovery to get it an I can start flashing the roms?
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Free mobile app
Yes its very easy but you will trip your knox 0x1 so if you are sure about it download odin from your pc install it and flasg cwm or twrp recovery you can download cwm from here choose your model https://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager twrp find your device here http://teamw.in
Next follow this guide to flash it
