Android SDK and Eclipse. That's about what you need.
You would probably need java knowledge too...
If you know any other programming language it should be really easy.
Try the guide here:
http://developer.android.com/guide/developing/eclipse-adt.html
I'm lost with the installation part. (have some background with other prog lang. but none with java) can anyone help me with this part? what is the needed apps and/or how to start this apps?
What part are you having trouble with? What OS are you running? I never could get windows7 to work right with java and eclipse.
Oh. Maybe thats why. Coz. Im using win7

Anyway, I set up a linux virtual machine using VMWare's VMPlayer--a scaled down free version of VM's Workstation. This runs pretty well under Win7 on my laptop. I still use my main linux box for development when available.
I recommend you use Linux 9.10
And download Android SDK android for Linux.

EXTREMELY helpful videos for a no0b like me on setting this stuff up... he explains 32-bit and 64-bit setup...
I'm glad you found the videos helpful. If anyone has any ideas for further video tutorials, I'm open to suggestions. I'm inexperienced when it comes to Android Development as a whole, but I try and help out as best as I can.

My adb server won't start on my os (Ubuntu 11.10 x64 bit) and i've solved the problem installing ia32-libs
sudo apt-get install ia32-libs
This must be helpful for some users that have my same problem.

I've got Ubuntu running on my Nexus 7 (and BTW, thanks to Tasssadar for MultiROM!)
Well, my question is... how could I get WINE running on Ubuntu?
It won't install due to ARM processor..
I've already readed that post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1258506) but all download links are dead... and I don't understand some parts of instructions.
Does anyone know how could I run WINE on Ubuntu and give me download link and instructions?
Thanks,
Slovenijakp

I know they won't run on ARM with just Wine, you need to do a lot of things before (emulate x86).
Well, that guy in post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1258506) made it up so it is possible, though I don't know how (and downloads there are dead)..

Okay, great! If it works, could you please post the link to this script/guide here, so other users with the same problem can solve it, too?

Hello users,
This question may be offtopic here, but i need your kind suggestions. I am now going to reinstall an operating system in my computer.
I had Windows 10 earlier. Now I am thinking to use Linux. I have not used it before so I have a few doubts.
Will it be difficult to use and understand Linux?
Will Linux be faster than Winodows 10?
Thanks

Definitely try it. You can also install it for dual-boot purposes.
