Ok so obviously new to the forum but i have a question today i went and got the alliance rom for the s5. i got it working and everything however the application kik constantly crashes now and does not run. so far that's the only problem ive seen and i would like to know if there is anyone else who use the app and rom and has this issue and if they know a fix or if anyone has reported it to the developers so they are aware of this issue and if hey have plans to work on it

I'm running Dutty 3.3 ROM and I've noticed a problem that I can't seem to fix.
I'm not sure what's triggereing this issue so I'm not so sure its my ROM but at 11:54-11:55pm at noght my phone freezes and wont respond until I reboot, obviously this is annoying as I use my phone for my morning alarm.
I have installed SKTools and cleaned my duplicate notifications, thinking perhaps there was a conflict. This didn't work.
I'm thinking there is a service that runs just before midnight that freezes my phone, but have no idea what, can anyone suggest any ideas, or perhaps someone has experienced similar. I have searched the Dutty 3.3 ROM thread and can't find anyone else with the same issue.

There are a few, including me who have experienced this. Crackwhore is looking into it. If you go to the thread and you can answer Crackwhores questions it may help to get a solution
thanks for the headsup, I re-searched for 'midnight freeze' and found all you others with the same issue, I have now re-reported in the Dutty 3.3 thread.
im a big video streamer when it comes to my phone, today i installed hyperdroidgbx cm7 v1.0.3 and im loving it so much.. probably the best rom out in my opinion but i have on little issue, which ive had with all the other roms ive tried, when i run a flash video from lets say j.tv it starts off great but then it always seem to cause my phone to freeze atleast 4 or 5 minutes into the stream...
does anybody have a fix or know why this would be happening to me?
does anybody else have this issue or is it just me?

Hi guys, first off:
thanks for that great forum which helped me getting started with flashing custom roms / getting root access etc...
When searching for my problem i found out that it is called the "Hello Hello bug".
So basically when anyone calls me and i am answering the phone the first 2 seconds or so my microphone doesnt seem to work (the person on the other side does not hear me).
I thought that this bug would be fixed in the new custom roms. i tried CM 10.1 Jellybro (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2015081) but even with this up-to-date rom i am getting the same bug.
As i couldnt find anything to fix this bug i was wondering if you guys have the same problem or if anyone knows how i can get around this issue?!

I have that problem. I just wait for a second and then say "hello". That seems to be working out pretty well.
Not sure on a legitimate fix though. I think it has to do with the images that the devs have to work on. Hopefully it'll be fixed in an upcoming new patch.
Known issue, will eventually be fixed.

i already tried that before.. didnt change anything for me! (thanks for the tip though)
btw: that image verification is driving me crazy.. im trying to read what the image says for like 15 times now -.- (should those be any words, or are those just random letters? cant believe there is no better solution out there *sigh*)
so, the new update is coming soon (some of you might already have it) and i was wondering if you guys know if the new version fixes either the "hello hello bug" or the bug where you cant hear the caller at all on some calls?
Those bugs are really driving me crazy and i'm really wondering how its possible for a telephone to have so many bugs in the most basic functionality of all - TALKING TO PEOPLE!
any insights / suggestions?

For me the bug is fixed on 4.2.2.

the version 4.2.2 doesnt resolve the hello hello bug for me...
do i have a chance on making it work by changing my kernel or the rom? i dont know what is the most likely cause for this.

I've been having this issue since I got the phone. When I make a new folder in the drawer and fill it with apps and then reboot the phone, the folder will only have a few or none of the apps I put in it. So I put put the apps back in the folder and continue on my day and after a few cycles of this the folder somehow retains memory of what apps it had and stops resetting. But it's gotten a little annoying 'cause I'm orderly.
Anybody know how to fix this or what's causing it?
I have no other issues with the phone, and it's not even that big of a deal. But it's too bad that my experience with the phone is so close to perfect aside from this little glitch.

Exact same situation. I've experienced it both on stock and hyper drive roms. I am still having an issue finding the solution. Any news?
Hi guys im not sure if people are having this kind of insignificant problem as well as me but i thought i might ask just in case some one may be able to help me. Ive installed an app called golflogix on my note 3 on the Foxhound 1.2 rom, it is an app that tracks where you are on the course and that sort of thing. Obviously this requires the GPS to track you which it does quite well in google maps but it seems that in the golflogix app it cannot find me. I am well aware that this is more app related than rom related but i thought id put it out there and see if its a common problem. I'm currently running KitKat 4.4.2 on my S4 and have golflogix on that phone as well and it tracks me perfectly so i dont think its hardware related especially as my note 3 tracks me on google maps with no issue. Sorry if this is a stupid question.

It's got to be that app or your phone because I use golfshot and swing by swing and they both work fine
