[Q] Hello! I need a book on Home replacements!

Hey everyone. Im willing to pay for a book on how to develop home replacement apps step by step. Please anyone. I have all the developer tools and am experienced in coding but not in this subject. i will also gladly donate to anyone who can help me.
I'm in the same boat. Lol. The only source for an example is the sample home app in the sdk. I have made a gridView with the apps so far. But I am inexperienced (only developing since August last year), so I look for all the help I can get.
Yeah the sample app isn't the best. i was hoping i can find the adw home source to look at

[Q] I've Put My App On Kickstarter... Need Genius Marketing Ideas, Help Please!!

Hey guys, long time lurker here...
So basically I'm building a new Android launcher that's designed to make Android more productive and more capable of multitasking... and I decided to do something different and try putting it on Kickstarter to raise some funds! I thought that basically this would prove there was a market for the app, it would build some interest and it would help me to afford to work with other designers and developers. I want to add support for MSOffice file formats but that's something I'm going to have to outsource...
The link to the Kickstarter project can be found here: kickstarter.com/projects/983549908/mulit-window-desktop-launcher-for-android - sorry it's not a live link, I'm new see
So far it's not going well, I asked for £8,000 (it's too much in retrospect, but after tax and Kickstarter/Amazon take their cut it will be a lot less) and so far I have £138 pledged with 23 days to go.
I've sent out countless press releases - even to editors who know me have published things of mine in the past - and had no response. I've tried paying for AdSense and that was a waste of money, and I've posted through every social media outlet I can find... About to try Instagram :-/
My best success so far was posting in the Basic4Android forum where I'm an active member - that's the secret I think, knowing lots of people online and being active. That's my advice to anyone else thinking of doing this! Get active on forums and get known, wish I'd done that more!
Now obviously I'd appreciate any helps with pledges but what I really want is your ideas for marketing and a critique of my video and project page (I think there are areas for improvement). I think that if I could get just one article onto a well-read site then it could potentially snowball... but how can I get noticed?
Has anyone else tried using Kickstarter for an app?
Thanks a lot for your help in advice guys, and I hope you find this useful too. Maybe we can work out what I'm doing wrong and then we've learned how not to raise money for an Android app...
I've attached a picture of the app by the way for those interested...

Can you help us?

Hello everybody,
My name is Ben and I have an application for android phones that I need a little help with. I am currently looking for a community that would be willing to download this app and just keep in touch with me every now and then with a few updates. It doesn't cost anything, it doesn't really do anything either. Basically it will gather information about signal strength and sending/receiving times for sms messages globally.
Essentially what I would like to know is are there any communities out here who would be willing to help just for the sake of helping somebody out with a new idea or what sort of incentives would you need to get a few of you to join the routemaster community.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Ben
Hi, did you upload the app to Google Play? You can promote your app on this forum

Looking for a G4 owner that can assist in debugging an issue with my app

Hi G4 owners,
I'm working on an android app where users can go to stores, collect media for vendors at said stores, and then upload the media to my servers.
The problem: I have one really loyal user who is on a G4 and he keeps running into an issue where he can't upload his data. He's not the most technically-apt person and, since the G4 is so new, I can't find a cloud testing service that has the G4 available.
I'd like to ask for assistance from someone that has a G4 and knows (or is willing to learn) the basics of using logcat. The odd thing is I'm not able to replicate this issue on my nexus 6 (5.1) and samsung s6 (5.0).
Any G4 owner that could help would be greatly appreciated; I'll try to make it worth your time.

I'm intrigued, can you tell me more about your app?

Hi flex0r,
It's a merchandising application. Users are allowed to select certain stores and collect different type of feedback based on that store's project outline (interview a manager, restock a shelf with a certain product brand, take a picture of a promotion display, etc). Once we've received and processed this data from the user we compensate them with paypal credit.
Nice, I haven't got a lot of logcat experience but definitely a tinkerer that can help you out!

Awesome! I'll PM you the details.
I haven't been able to get a response from flex0r, so I believe he's likely occupied.
Still looking for a willing candidate with a G4 to test some things.
I sent you a PM.

Hey Cebalrai, I bounced you back a PM.
I hope it's not being filtered because this account is new. Let me know if you didn't get it.

Hey buddy,
I will be more than happy to help you out with this project, though I absolutely HATE PayPal and their policies, so I will do this just to give you a hand and AM NOT look for compensation for any work I do for you.
Hey ZeldaFan,
I don't need you to actually go anywhere and submit authentic data - I just need someone on a G4 to download my app, login with details I'll provide, and attempt to upload any media (pictures/video).
I'll PM you some additional details.
