[Q] Random lock screen wallpaper - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can anyone tell me why this seems to be something nobody has done? I have now seen one person has done it and tried it on my S5 however it seems to be something that on all other phones nobody has done it and im curious to know why? is it a security thing? I would like to have a bunch of quotes, family photos show up on my lock screen every time I turn it on, the developer who has done it is here

Lock and Turn Off

I've searched for this for bloody ages, but can't find it...
I used to have a bit of software on an old unit, really simple, just installed and gave a few program shortcuts like Lock, Lock and Turn Off (suspend) etc. Anyone know where I can find it? Everything I find seems to be really complicated with auto-locks etc., not what I need.
If not, anyone know how I can do a Lock and Off (suspend) with MortScript?
Come on, someone must remember this software!!

How to turn on autocorrect and auto-capitalization back on again?

I rooted the Kindle Fire, but did find it to be that useful nor stable, so i removed the root. Rcently, I found that I wasn't able to get it autocorrect or auto capitalize whenever I typed something.
is it just me? Whenever i typed dont, it literally only types dont and not don't. (unless i physically put the ')
Even auto cap doesn't work. I would like "i love you" but it ends up not capping the I?
Can somehow help me fix this? it's getting a little annoying. and Yes, I did turn them on in the settings, it STILL doesn't work. But the key sound does when I turned that on. I feel like rooting could have done something here.
no one knows how to fix this? I already re-installed the stock rom like 2 times already, still has the same issue. Doesn't automatically fix my words and doesn't auto capitalize either. Typing comes really annoying.
never seen that - maybe turning off - rebooting - turning on refreshes the settings
sorry no more ideas ...

[Q] Security PIN turning to password and locking me out

This issue has been addressed and no actual cause has been determined.
My pin lock pad which I usually use is replaced by a keyboard for no reason and my pin doesn't work anymore.
it keeps asking me for a password and after every 5 attempts I get a 30 seconds countdown.
To add insult to injury trying to restart the computer boots me into download mode.
It's very frustrating to say the least. Fortunately I have a twrp backup that I can restore but it's such a waste of time.
Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Useless posts just to raise your post count are all over this forum, seriously if you cant offer anything remotely helpful why post at all? Also put your tongue back in!
OP can you extrapolate how to arrive at the issue and also please state device model, device status etc?
Are you using an application to set/unset your PIN?
I had this happening to me repeatedly, however it was accepting my PIN as the password so was more just annoying that anything else.
After some experimenting I found that it was Secure Settings (setting the PIN) that seemed to be the cause - somehow it was setting the PIN correctly the first time it ran and then subsequently it would switch to password.
I ditched it and instead setup my set/unset PIN via Pebble Locker (also using Wifi and other bluetooth devices to set/unset PIN).
After using it for a few days successfully, it locked once setting a password instead of PIN, and this time my usual PIN failed to unlock it. Luckily it was about 11pm and I knew that it would automatically unlock at about 7am the next day when the wifi was automatically switched back on - so I didn't need to reset or anything (although I got the impression at the time that you could unlock it via going to your google account somehow - but I can't recall the details and may have this entirely wrong).
I setup a Tasker profile so that I'd have a backdoor to disable the PIN by plugging it into power and checking if I'm at home at the time. Not the most secure solution, but hardly wide open either.
I'm having the same issue and it also appears to be a quirk with Secure Settings. Actually locked me out of my phone yesterday, had to return home where I had task to unlock phone in order to get back in.

Power on, fade in after 5.1.1 update...

Following the update to 5.1.1, when I switch on the Note 4 using the power button, the display fades in, slowly.
It takes ~1 second and is very annoying. I've been through display settings and a few other things, but nothing I do will make it appear instantly. I've tried a few web searches, but getting nothing relevant.
Anyone else see this? Anyone got a fix?
Thanks

Disable finger print lock.
Fingerprint lock was never enabled on the device. I figured that if someone wanted to steal it, I didn't want to motivate them to cut my finger off.
Also, I read the "Lag after 5.1.1 update", but assumed (!) that the fingerprint issue would not affect me because it had never been switched on.
On a hunch, I enabled fingerprint lock, then disabled it... problem resolved. Nasty.
Thanks.

Glad your issue resolved.

Extend display time of notifications in second screen?

I've had my V20 a few weeks now and have enjoyed what it can do for me. I really like the second screen feature, but I do have one complaint about it:
The notifications disappear too fast. They pop up when they come in and by the time I flip my phone over and begin to read the notification, it vanishes. If I want to know what it was, I would need to turn on my phone, thus defeating one of the purposes of the second screen.
Has anyone found that this this something that can be adjusted? Presently, I think the display time is about two seconds. I'd love to bump it up to about five seconds.
Ideas, anyone?

So after using this phone for a couple weeks, I’ve gathered the second screen for notifications works the same way as “heads up” notifications work on normal-display phones without the second screen. I don’t think there’s any way to change it on stock, but if you’re rooted I’m sure there’s a prop you can change to make the heads up notification last longer.
I would say like the last post you need root at least
