[Q] AAC Streams on Galaxy - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

For some unknown reasons Galaxy S4 and S5 devices are unable to playback AAC Streams of audio (not files, streams). They connect and simply buffer the stream forever. No audio is ever played on device.
MP3 streams are working fine.
I'm looking for some way of contacting Samsung support(already tried level 1, I'm looking for people who work with their builds) to see if we can find out what's going on, does anyone know where I can find it?
Thank you.

Weirdness: Video Works, But Not Audio

This just on a select group of my videos, but a few of them don't have audio working in the stock video player and Act I. The video goes, but not the audio.
In Rockstar Player, the suspect videos played just fine.
Any reason why this might have happened and how to fix it?
my guess is that the suspect videos are coded in 5.1 or 6.1 surround. The stock media player doesn't support this. You could demux the audio to 2 channel and they will probably play fine.
I thought about this. It shows it as 2 channels, so that can't be it.
The audio bit rate could be out of range for the internal decoder. Try checking that. Other than that, I dunno.

Samsung galaxy s audio formats

Hi!
I have the samsung galaxy s, and i've got a question about the phones audio formats..
I was going to watch the movie Inception on my phone. The movie's format was: 720p H264 AAC.. The picture on the phone was very good, but i didn't get any sound from the phone. I read a bit about it and i found out that AAC was not a supported format.
So, does anybody have some audio converter program i can use, or other suggestions?
That would be great!
My SGS plays AAC and even mkv`s with DTS audio, it might be a ROM problem what you got there.

To users with sound problems while playing .mkv's

The problem is coming from the lack of support for surround sound audio streams. When you encode your videos for your xoom, make sure you set the audio to stereo.
Yes.. but what about pass thru over hdmi. Someone has gotta try that one out. I've been meaning to test out 2 channel ac3. Its possible ac3 is a no-go overall

Audio issues when streaming from PC to Nexus

So I have been spending several hours trying to figure out how to stream videos from my Windows 7 PC to my nexus 7
Currently I stream videos to my PS3 using WMP and everything works perfect no issues at all.
I have been trying to find the perfect app to do this.
I first tried http://www.aviatheapp.com/index.html
While it connects to my PC and plays the video perfectly fine no audio is ever played, these are mpg files. I tried about 5 differnt ones and all the same.
So then I tried BubbleUPnP, along with an external player like BS Player or Dice and it works I can get audio and it plays video, but for some odd reason the audio is super low out of the speakers even at max, you can barely hear it. If I plug in headphones audio seems to be fine.
I also tried Plex Media Center/Server and I get the same thing.
Now if I play a video that is stored locally on my sdcard in any player the video is perfect out of the speakers.
I am really confused and wondering what do you guys do and do you have audio problems?

LG V20 Video with HD Audio - can't open in video editor

Hi, I'm sorry to bother as I've searched the V20 forum and I'm not finding related info on this problem.
With LG V20 video recorded with HD audio setting on, when I open/import it into Magix (once Sony) Vegas 15 opens with low volume, highly distorted audio. It shows the video but the audio is garbled/distorted, low volume, audio. If I bring in a video file without HD audio turned on I'm able to open it and video and audio playback is fine.
Note: All video are .MP4 files and playback fine on the LG V20 itself (At&t H910) as well as on the desktop with WMP and VLC Player, with HD audio selected or not. I just can't get it to open without issue (audio) in Magix Vegas Pro.
I'm thinking (hoping) it might just be a codec issue and this can somehow be resolved, but even after installing K-lite (mega) I'm having no luck. It only happens with video .MP4 video files with a setting of "HD audio ON". Is there a known V20 issue here in regard?
Can anyone shed some light on how to resolve this?
Desktop OS: Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1
Phone: LG V20 AT&T H910 (Stock, has latest OTA updates)
Not real familiar with Vegas. But you may be right, it sounds very much like a codec issue. So lets try and narrow things down a little. Find out what the audio sample rate, channels and bitrate are on the non-HD files, then do the very same with the "HD" filles. What does Vegas say they are?
I never tried the HD audio before. Because it just sounded like a gimmick. Their "HD" just may be referring towards some higher bitrates.....or.... Because most audio these days are already what you'd call "Hi-Fi". So it's possible these files are in a much higher sample rate. I can't find that info out because nothing on the phone seems to want to give the AUDIO details of a video. ? It's frustrating.
