Hello XDA, I'm new to this, so I need your patience with the terminology, etc. I got an lg g2 today, brand new, and a few hours later it stopped palying music suddenly and went to a black screen that showed a lock icon in the top left corner. It wouldn't turn off, and it wouldn't let me return to the start screen. It didn't respond to touch or taps to the screen, and the buttons on the back wouldn't make it do anything either. After an hour, I removed the sd card, to see if that would help. Then the lock screen came up, but again, the phone would'nt respond to any tapping or swiping, and the butttons on the back still would'nt shut it off. It has been like this for an hour.Has anyone heard of this behavior before?

Hey guys,
I just Whatsapped with my phone and locked it. Few minutes later I opened it again and the screen was completely unresponsive [hardware buttons are working perfectly]. I reset the phone few times but no luck. Then I went into recovery and hard reset the phone, the phone is reset and the setup is appearing but the screen is not responding to any touch[again hardware buttons are working perfectly]. I did not drop the phone at all, any suggestions on what might be wrong? I cant seem to fix it at all
EDIT: One more thing that I missed was that the moment I turn the phone on, It starts getting hot on the back although its not responding and there is a grey triangle with a grey exclamation mark inside it on the notification bar on the top left
help me out bros
Hello everyone, I have been searching constantly for any information on a problem that suddenly started today with my galaxy s4, and this is going to sound very odd for sure. For no apparent reason, i pulled the phone out of my pocket, hit the power button, and everything that is supposed to be white is pink. The touch screen will work for a split second, just long enough to get the phone unlocked, and then is all together unresponsive. On the home screen, once again, everything that is supposed to be white, (text, notification icons, time, ect) is bright pink. All the buttons are responsive, but the touchscreen does nothing. Upon hitting the power button to turn the screen off, you can see the pink disappear and the screen change back to normal for just a moment before it goes off, same when it powers on, which is why i can manage to get the phone unlocked. Anyone hear of anything like this?
You have either a loose connector or some other hardware failure.
Hello all, I just traded my nexus 6 with a note 4 and it worked well for about 3-4days and now i'm stuck. I received a call, went to answer and the screen was blank. Tried switching off the phone to no avail. Pulled the battery and tried to power it back up again all I get now are different shades of blue led notification then the menu and back buttons light up and that's it, screen blank.
I did try the many ways shown in google to remedy this but nothing works, pulled battery, held power button for 1-2mins and then leave the phone alone for a while and then come back to power it up. Nothing works. Did the guy set me up or did it just happen on my watch. I'm pretty sure he would say that he gave me a fully functioning phone, which he indeed did. Should I just get a new board or am I screwed?
Nothing......cool.
So I managed to drop my phone a couple of weeks ago and crack the screen. The screen itself has remained fully functional despite a couple of purple lines down it and progressively worse flickering. It;s gradually started becoming more unresponsive and tonight it seems to have had enough. The stay on screen still display the time and if I press the lock key it will show me my lock screen and my notifications, I can swipe and remove these and if drag them down to read them further.
However, when I actually unlock my phone to go to my home screen, the phone screen goes black - I know the phone has unlocked because I can hear the sound effects when I press apps but everything remains black and I can't get the screen to come alive again until I lock the phone. If I double tap the home button, it will quick launch my camera and that works. So essentially the screen still works but won't show me my home screen or any apps (apart from camera), it's essentially blacked out until I lock it again.
I'm getting it repaired but am not able to do so for a few days. Any ideas how I can bring the screen back to life when I unlock the phone? I tried restarting a few times, leaving it turned off for a while and emergency mode - none of which worked.
After 1 month of having the LG V20 since launch, I have had some issues. First, the screen would ghost regularly (the bar with the buttons would be faded, even though they were not activated.) Second, the screen would become unresponsive, especially after using the YouTube app. Today, while watching YouTube, the screen did not respond, the screen was ghosting, and then the power button didn't do anything. Panicking, I removed the battery. The screen turned off, completely normal. I then removed the charger and while removing it, I saw a small spark as I was removing. I knew that something as wrong. I put the battery back in and there was nothing. No response, no vibrate, nothing. I removed the battery, discharged it by pressing the power button, still no response. I am very confused and frustrated and have no idea what to do. Does anyone have anything to suggest? Any response will be taken for granted.
