Hey guys, bear with me as its been a while since its been on the flashing game. For a while now its been happy with my nexus running pac rom on 4.3 but the past couple of week I've noticed it become unbearably slow. I've tried to flash a number of 4.4 rom but it keeps failing. Not sure what version of recovery i have but would recovery fix it. Thanks !

Recovery MAY be the problem. Can you check quickly which version it is? And is it PhilZ Touch, TWRP, or CWM? It should flash with all three but the version decides if it will.

I have a question for y'all experts lol :silly: i got my nexus 4 over the weekend and am already rooted with SuperSU, and am running TWRP as my recovery. the problem I am having is with flashing roms/radios. I tried installing toasted marshmallow (here) and had the following problems. after running the awesome wipe script, I flashed the rom followed by infernogapps and rebooted. After waiting about half an hour, the phone was still at the bootup animation. So I shut the phone off restored to the stock image and tried to find out what I was doing wrong. I saw something about 4.2.2 radios and tried to flash the fko1/fko2 radios prior to reflashing. the flash came up FAILED, saying that there was no md5sum and there was an error within the samsung packages? i tried to reflash the rom anyway, once again with no success. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE HELPFUL as I would really like to try out this rom. I'm not new to rooting or flashing roms or anything, however I am no expert and this is my first time attempting to flash roms to this particular device.
--Thanks

Now if i wanted to revert to a rom that is based on 4.2.1, would these radios cause issues? If so could you link me to radios that would work? Thanks

Hi all and apologies and a million thanks in advance for your help and patience.
I have been trying for the past 8 hours to root (which I did successfully on stock 4.3) then install a CWM and 4.4 Rom. I didn't do any back ups etc(I know I am a D head... Just that I have done this several times before and never had any issues and didn't have anything to lose, well I thought anyway, I had previously rolled back to stock using Kies with Note 2 and thought I could do it with note 3, but nooooo)
Anyway I'm stuck at the Galaxy boot screen. I can get into recovery and download screens but that is it. I would really appreciate it if any help could be given. I have tried searching the forums but Im a little out of my depth now. I cant seem to find a resolution as I cant get into a rom.
Many thanks
Dale

Now for custom ROM!!!!!!! Thanks
Hello Guys!!!
I have a Samsung i9505 and I'm trying to use a custom rom. I've been using Google Play Edition 4.4.2 and sometime ago it started to notify the 4.4.3 update. I've tried to install it, but nothing happened. I've installed the Jamal GPE 4.4.3 and it works. The problem is that I can't reboot the device. If I do it, the device does not start again... have to install everything again... I've also tried to install Miui Rom, Mahdi Rom and the problem persists. All these Roms works, but I can't reboot... I'm using Team Win v2.5.0.
Am I doing anything wrong?
Thank You!

Reflashing a stock rom shouldn't be needed.
You are using an old version of the recovery. Upgrade the recovery and everything should probably be solved. Make sure to always fully wipe before flashing roms.

I flashed the stock rom and the stock recovery yesterday. After that, I flashed CWM (last version non-touch), mahdi rom 4.4.4 and gapps.
Everything is working now.
Thank You guys!

Thiago.

I tried with the latest versione of philz touch, with all of build and tried also another 5.0 rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/unified-development/nexus-experience-rom-t2944276
if you don't trust me see this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXZ82O-A36Q.. i waited for an hour and i don't know what i wrong
Just don't use cm12. I tried it a couple days ago and didn't think much of it and thought the ui was incredibly ugly. If I were you I'd just wait until more features have been implemented

Have you tried with other recoveries? Like TWRP or CWM? I've used Philz in the past and had nothing but bad experiences. TWRP hasn't ever let me down.

Well man I'd say your just SOL on this ROM. Your either doing something wrong or it's just not compatible for some reason. Sorry dude but it's time to let it go
I have the same result. However, it is with every Android 5.0 Rom out right now. To me it appears that the recovery (and I have tried them all) is just not fully flashing the rom. Whenever flashing a ROM that is 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 the progress bar goes up as its flashing the rom, then when it finishes the rom is installed. However with the 5.0 Android ROMs or cm12 the progress bar does nothing for about 2 minutes, then when it does start going up it only does part and the finishes really quick and seems like half flash.
I've been using CM12 for basically since the day it came out, I've had no problems yet...It is not as fluid as Touchwiz, but it works for now. I flashed it with Philz. Philz has never let me down until now...
Hi hello everyone, was wondering if any one may throw me a link to the stock recovery of note 3 on 4.3 android n9005
This way i may flash it through flashify and have stock revcovery again, then can take updates without having to use odin or any other similar software for as i do not own a computer and i wont be near one any time soon... Phone has been really acting up lately...
Or maybe no one has stripped the stock recovery yet? Because i have searched quite awhile and have come to no avail
Thank you

I think the CF-autoroot packages include a stock recovery. Maybe you can extract it from there?
