Remove Samsung "shortcut bar"

Hi,
I really don't use (or like) the "shortcut bar" that is in the H3.2 builds from Samsung.
I'm running Overcome 2.3.0, but is it possible to remove the Samsung crap and have a clean task bar?
(or install this: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.snowbee.wizzbar)
Thanks in advance

use apktool to decompile the apk and then in res/drawable and res/drawable-ldpi change the images you want. make sure that you dont change the image name and images with extension .9.png. recomplie and use it.

you have to change the icons of the apps themselves, some launchers don't use the app's icons, but their own

So what can i do
U just wanna change the icons right?
U dobt need to mess with .9.png
Its easy to edit them though but its not needed for changing the launcher icons...
First thing is...
U need 7zip program
Now choose the app u wanna change the icon off
Right click the app and open it with 7zip
Browse into the "res" folder and drag and drop the drawable-ldpi to a location where u can edit it
I choose the desktop
Now in the drawable ldpi folder ull have a pic named "ic_launcher_icon.png"
Or sumthing resembling to this as its diff in some apps
Edit that image and open the apk with 7zip again and drag and drop only the edited pic in the res/drawble-ldpi/
Push the apk using adb or by root explorer...
Ur done
Happy to help
Hmm
But There Are Not All The Apps Icons In Drawable ldpi So What Can I Do Them
Every app has individual icon
U have to open every apps drawable ldpi and edit the icons...
A easier way is to download a icon pack for the specific device
Open the flashable zip
Ull have a "unpack" folder
There will be many folders named "app.apk"
app=name of apps
Try using the ics icon pack for galaxy y
In these folders ull have the images....edit the images and zip it again...FLASH
and its done

it is possible, you only need to edit the settings.apk and .odex on your pc after decompiling it
obviously ROOT required

You have to edit it on your PC after decompiling it. there you can change the color to Black. you have to know what you're doing.

The statusbar would normally disappear (not force close just not show) if it has not been correctly signed
You have three options
1 - Restore your nandroid backup you should of made before flashing anything to return your phone to the pre-flashing state
2 - Flash your original SystemUI.apk in cwm with system mounted
3 - Resign the modded SystemUI.apk with a platform key using zipsigner from the playstore and then reflash

if i do the option 3, the new statusbar appears or the original statusbar?

What ever SystemUI.apk you flash will be the status bar that will be used if the SystemUI.apk has no errors in it so if you resign the modded systemui from the thread you gave and flash it as long as it is compatible and free of errors it should display - however if it doesn't the only way you would know why is through a logcat

HELP! How to edit ICON SPACING in SystemUI

Hey guys! I just wanted to share my problem.
I want to edit the icons in status bar. I search it on Google on how to edit the icon spacing in the status bar and they say you need to edit "dimens.xml" but when I try to extract my systemui, I haven't seen that file. Which file do I need to edit? And what tools should I use in order to edit it? I'm using Motion rom anyway. Thanks in advance

you should install apktool to your pc
after finish install and installing rom framework
decompile apk file and go to ../res/values/dimens.xml
then u can control your app spaces size and dimens
after finish editing !
you should compile again apk file then sign it and use !
