Hey,
i'm experiencing strange connection problems on all android builds i tried so far. The connection is sometimes so bad, that i can't even call somebody or recieve calls, sms etc..
Are u experiencing the same problems? Is there any fix?
please learn some forum ettiquette and don't just go posting a relatively personal question in the middle of the developement forum.
all the android builds can make calls and all that pretty well, so you simply are not following instructions (from any angle.) go to the forum for the android build you are using, read the instructions, and maybe you'll find that your radio is probably the problem.
i'd tell you more, but you haven't been clear about what you're using. its like you calling a mechanic and leaving voicemail about your car problem without telling him what car you actually have. think about that

The solution's already been given to you. It doesn't matter if you're a "pro" or not. Hell, I'm a noob for what it's worth, but I don't have any problems with my build. Someone even took the time to explain it all to you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7088391&postcount=3
Go to the thread of your build and read, and search, and read some more.

Where did you give me the solution?? I didn't find my problem anywhere in this forum. I "installed" everything correctly. My Radio version is the newest one. So that's probably not the point
I did not check the link but from what it sounds like is that you need to input some APN settings, i am not sure what those settings are etc since i am a noob at this also.
But ur Radio version is not the best suitable for these Android builds, try using version 2.11.50.20
Hello folks,
First of all i wanna thank you for the great work!
Well, i've read all the threads but i couldn't get any informations about the current status for the "mobile internet connection".
Is it possible to get it work with a fix?
Cheers
we don't work with it now
is there no possibility to get it work?
yes, there is.
so could you tell it to me how to handle it? I know that this problem has not that much priority and other things need to be fixed first but it would be very nice
But,I think the important thing is microphone and battary.

I dont get it, where the hell do these guys pop out one after the other. Cant you just wait till the devs are done porting it. It's not a childs play to port it or one days work. It takes time. Deal with it. It's a Waste of time to always answer these questions. First reade the forum then ask.
if you read my post carefully, i said that i checked first the forum about 3G. I couldn't find any information, so i asked here. So wheres the problem? Also i asked a polite way, not like "GIVE ME FIX!!11!!!11!!!".
Now i know that it isnt done because of the link that tzacapaca posted so i just wait for any further information.
<offtopic/>
So it's me again .
Hows the status about 3G? Where are the problems? Can a dev ( i think schlund and r0bin are working on it ) write a little status(log files) about it?
I've finally found some time to help working on it(i currently work as a programmer in C++).
So let me know the issues.
Regards
This is the google code page
http://code.google.com/p/photon-android/
Hope this helps, source code is here
i already set up the environment.
AS far as i know: r0bin and schlund started to get 3G fixed. I need to know what the current state of the fix is(where they stuck, what they have found out about the problem etc.).
If u look at any of. Schlunds posts his skype address is at the bottom, I think its Schlund2k9.
I think he awnsers all dev questions there

Haha you don't know how difficult it is not to flame you right now.
1. There is no best ROM. It's a matter of opinion. What's the best colour? Exactly.
2. Yes, there are tutorials, but I'm not going to give them to you. Find them yourself. If you aren't completely incompetent you'll find a link right in front of your eyes. If not, then you probably shouldn't be flashing anything.
3. Please watch this video before doing anything else.

Hello there,
I have searched most of the threads and cannot find an answer or solution to the issue.
During a phone call, the recipient cannot hear me at times. They often ask me to repeat what I'm saying. I've tested this by asking someone to use my phone to call me on another phone and I can see that the sound drops and I cannot hear what they're saying.
On speakerphone, however, the voice quality is completely fine.
I already have had the phone replaced but the new phone has the same issue. Is there anyway to have this issue resolved?
Thanks. :good:

Everything is stock. Nothing has been altered with.
And while I can only apologise, the reasoning behind my "apparent" lack of detail at the start was that most of the "details" were pretty apparent and evident. The type of device was obvious (my post was in the LG G2 thread, therefore hinting at an LG G2 device). Furthermore, this issue is pretty common with this phone from what I gather. All I was wondering was whether somebody had managed to find a solution to the issue.

Problem is, a lot of people mistakenly post wherever the **** they decide to post, and following by your signature showing a note 3 I definitely wouldn't be surprised if you had missed the forum by a long shot.
I have no solution for your problem however. I experienced the very similar symptoms using dori's kernel but it allows the adjustment of the headset microphone sensitivity, so that fixed it for me.
Q&A for [ROM] [AOGP 4.4.4] [I9500] [1.0] [WEEKLIES]
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [ROM] [AOGP 4.4.4] [I9500] [1.0] [WEEKLIES]. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.

According to gekkehenkie11 the chinese modem doesn't support WB_AMR and that's why the call quality bug went away after flashing the chinese modem. can read about it here if you haven't already
I tried the chinese modem but the call volume was low and I kept dropping/losing signal. Could be because the bands used aren't working to well with my service provider.
But it's all good now, we don't need the chinese modem and we can use the latest TW modem for your country and enjoy TW level call quailty
Gotta love being an xda member there's always people out there to assist you

Well in the end it remains the same that WB_AMR is not supported in one and not activated in the other right? In the end both say that theyre not capable.
To each his own. Every person out here has a different experience altogether with different aspects.
My signal strength increased (to be frank).
I stay inin India. China and India have good trade relations and are a border apart maybe that is why the chinese modem worked wonders for me haha
Poor Jokes apart.
Its always how you apply and follow steps.
Many flash things and get there phones screwed, many dont. Its all about implementing
Many devs have many problem patches and solutions to everything. And a few devs have some other viewpoint that is correct too
So basically, in the end we got our random call bug solved. And we ought to flash something before we get good quality
And thanks for the link. ^_^
And there was nothing to get offended about.
There us nothing wrong to have opinions about a particular thing.
I'm sorry if anything did hurt you

I've taken a few tips from reading your posts.
This is why I joined this forum, to get help, be helped and help others.
I apologize if I came across as being upset that was never my intention. But these things happen, on a forum there's no face to face so there's no body language to gauge whether a person is upset or not.
I wasn't trying to upstage or dismiss your advise regarding the chinese modem, I was merely offering a new fix that just landed in the CM thread.
India and China have good relations with South Africa too. Not sure if you heard of BRICS? It stands for Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. These countries are all working together wrt to trade etc.

I think the best option is to flash DDUFNI1 Modem from the following link...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2537515&highlight=ddufni1&page=71
and then flash audiomod provided by gekkehenkie11. from

Thanks to both. It works fine for me.
Thanks for this awesome ROM .. However I have both bluetooth and wifi issues - both does not seem to work properly for me !!!
Bluetooth once you disconnect - it does not connect automatically - and even if you manually collect , does not work again. It requires to pair each and every time...
Secondly with wi-fi - it does not seem to store the password and I need to connect by providing passwords.. every time...
any fixes ??
