I'm on my second dream (g1) so it has been a rough time but i love this phone. I just noticed that sometimes when i unlock my phone i get android.process.acase error, i restored the phone and it SEEMS that this has been fixed but i have another problem. When i go to bed i put my phone (which is on at this point) on the charger and when i wake up in the morning it's off. Is this some form of power-saving or is there a problem?

What do you mean by "restore"? Usually if my phone shuts off during charge, it comes back into a boot loop.
I did the factory restore in the settings menu. Oh and about the reboot, I usually find it off in the morning but it turns on fine.
About 20 minutes ago my phone recently shut down, and repeatedly starts up for 2 seconds (to the sgh-t959d screen) then shuts down again and does it immediately after. I've taken the battery out, i've plugged it into the computer but the computer doesn't seem to recognize it and the screen goes to the charging battery for 2 seconds then shuts off and does it again repeatedly. I'm currently running a 2.2 froyo firmware, the phone is about 2 months old and this happened out of nowhere I haven't downloaded any apps or anything onto the phone recently, it seems about 70% charged and I do not know what to do, if anyone has any advice for me please reply and help. This phone is not rooted and is 100% stock I have done nothing to it.
I've also tried going into download mode but it goes onto it for a second then restarts the phone.

How are you running 2.2 if the phone is unrooted/stock? Did you mean 2.1?
Can you plug it into a wall without the battery in and boot it?
Perhaps a hardware issue?
EDIT: just noticed the phone wont boot without a battery in. Maybe your battery **** the bed? Do you have a verizon store nearby? I would stop in and have them put in a spare battery quick to see if that solves the problem..
Well not completely stock, it's unrooted though.
No I can't run the phone without the battery by plugging it in.

Sounds like you dont have a fascinate, you should mention that... have you tried download mode? Pull batt, hold vol down, plug in usb
Sent from my stock 2.1
unrooted, fully bloated (for now) Fascinate
So I have been using my HD2 with Android installed in the internal memory for at least 6 months with no issues. My HD2's battery life has dwindled down to being about 3 hours, so I ordered a new one. I popped in the new battery and plugged the phone in, and now the phone will continuously reboot itself while plugged in, when it reaches the Dark Forces Team screen. I installed the old battery, and the same thing happens. The phone will not turn on unless it in plugged in. Also is there anyway to charge the phone while it is off? When you plug it in, it turns itself on automatically. Lastly, I don't know if this affects anything, but I did drop the phone from about 3 feet with the charger in, and now the plug has to be pushed in to get charged. Thanks for all your help guys.

1- dropping your phone with damage may certainly have caused this. did the problems start right after?
2- with magldr you cannot charge with it turned off.
3- try to boot into bootloader. is that possible?
I didnt notice anything different after dropping it, except now I usually have something wedged under the charger. I tried Loading in through MAGLDR BOOT AD NAND. No luck.
you misunderstood.
can you boot into bootloader (not magldr)? the tricolor screen- turn phone off, turn on and hold down the volume down key.
if you can (and should be able to do so) - i would start over. flash back to WM. i never do task29 though conflicting reports. then reinstall whatever OS you are using. if problems persist on WM, then is hardware. however, to flash back to WM you will need battery life (>50%) which may represent a problem. but try to get into bootloader first.
I have the Bell version of this phone. I received it last week and I love it so far. The biggest issue that I have with this phone is that it will not stay off.
If I turn the phone off by holding the power button, it shows that it is turning off. 20 seconds later, the LG splash screen shows up and the phone powers back on by itself.
If I run it until the battery dies, I connect it to the charger, and a few seconds later I see the battery indicator. Without fail, within 40 seconds the phone powers back up on its own.
I have done a hard reset, and reinstalled everything and it doesn't help. Is this a quirk of this phone? Is there a fix that anyone knows of? I would really like the phone to remain off when I turn it off.
Sorry to hear you have this problem. I have not experience this problem with my phone.
Mine won't stay off if the power cord is plugged in.
So it can't charge while powered off (this is something I used to do to "re-calibrate" the battery on my Kaiser since WM6.x used to get in the way of the charging).
It could be that your USB port is damaged somehow to make the phone think that the power is plugged in?
That's about all I could think of... I find this behavior really aggravating.
Hi!
The phone was working fine up till yesterday.
I left it charging, only to find it stuck with the red LED on. It would not respond to button presses, and the LED stayed on even after being unplugged.
I took the battery out, put it back in, didn't want to boot. I took the battery out again, left it out for a few minutes, it booted with an unfamiliar message "Could not do normal boot" or something along those lines. After a restart it booted normally.
I used the phone normally the whole day, but after leaving it charging, same thing happened, but resolved it with leaving the battery out for a few minutes.
Phone worked fine from there on.
Left it charging before bedtime, found it stuck again in the morning, but this time, no way to boot.
I changed batteries, left it without battery for quite some time, nothing.
The phone is rooted, running a custom ROM, flashed sometime last year. Had no problems until now.
What do you recommend?
Seems like it could be the eMMC error.
I was extremely unlucky and it died completely in just one day since the error manifested
If you have any suggestions on how to revive it, please share!
I tried cool it in the freezer, didn't help
Note 4 won't charge or boot - Fixed
Hello,
My note four recently started running sluggishly and the battery would only charge to 77%. I rebooted it and it was now stone dead, would not charge, boot , nada. This is the fix I found that worked for me:
Take out battery, sim card, and mem card. Install back cover. Place phone in ziplock sandwich bag and seal. Place bag into freezer for 20 minutes. Remove bag/phone from freezer, reassemble battery, sim and mem cards. Press the start key and phone should boot(mine did). If not, plug into Samsung fast charger and try booting again.
