I am trying to search for an ad network which pays per impression (CPM) rather than per click. I am learning to develop apps and will try to post apps on google play but I don't think I can make good money using CPC model, because really how many times do users click on an "Ad"??
Other problem I found with ad networks is their minimum payout threshold. some say it's 50$, some say theirs is 100$. How can an amateur app developer make 50$ out of a CPC based advertising model?? That's why I am searching for an ad network which pays per impression and has very low payout threshold.
Please guide me.

Thanks for the reply, but your website supports minimum payout threshold 50$ on paypal account which is sadly not available in my country (Pakistan) and other option has min threshold 250$ which is a huge amount and can take ages to reach.

How much money are you looking to make per month as a minimum and how many games/apps do you have.
That would make it easier to tell you what network to use.

I don't know exactly.. I haven't even made a play store account yet. I have made one little game but I have many ideas of other apps which I am planning to make right after the first app is published. but I think getting thousands of downloads is not possible for every app. I am new to this field so I think I have to see the results of my first app.
currently I have signed up for startapp because I have heard it's name along with other popular networks and it's website is very easy and convincing.

In a way all ad networks pay using CPC, although they all talk about eCPM (effective CPM). The reasons are: a) they usually only make money when the users click the ads; b) they don't know where and when you show the ads, so if you show them somewhere where your users don't look, it's not effective for them. So usually what they pay you depends on how many clicks your users made. So you really would like to make sure that your users actually click the ads.
One thing you should do is to make sure the ads are visible, and the users can actually click them.
Another thing is to make sure your users get relevant ads, so that they click more. That's more difficult, but has a huge impact. One thing you can use for that is Adience AdBoost (adience.com). It's an add-on SDK that improves the Ad Networks targeting (so that the ads are relevant to each user of the app). It works with AdMob, Millennial, StartApp, and most of the other big networks. (Disclamer - I work at Adience).

Are you using any other network right now? In Pakistan admob pays very little. I get around 0.02$ per click. They don't usually pay per impression. But if you have 30k users then you may have luck.

I've been using admob for around 2 years and I know that admob pays nothing in cpm (in Pakistan). But admob is still the best option because the fill rate is great. It's around 98-99%. So you know that every user will see an ad.
What about swagbucks, toluna ???

We have the same thing in Australia. I believe the difference between unlimited with fair use and actually giving you the quota is that with fair use they cannot charge you more if you go over.
I think they have to actually discuss it with you and find solution. If the same thing happened with normal quota they actually will charge you on top which is quite expensive here.

If that is the case then just switch the option in your control panel to allow the NO option to be used. Much easier.
Its not my site I'm not affilaited with it in any way its just there's no no 10 petition available any more and this site looked the best option.

Those companies do the same all around the world. In Brazil, "unlimited" plans cut you out as soon as you reach 2GB.
This is why I got my SGS on contract from 3.

I'm actually okay with "fair usage policies"... Just read the actual contract before you sign it. I have unlimited same network calls which is not really unlimited- but 3000 mins per month.. which for a reasonable person is pretty unlimited.
Likewise as long as the FUP is clear before i buy and it usually is if you bother to look .
Agree with the word Unlimited is bad but that goes for ISPs as well as networks .
I see no way a campaign like this can work spread across multiple networks and countries . Who you going to appeal to United Nations .

A single target with a massive feedback/complaints would be more effective as the effort is not diluted . If the single target then decides to adopt what is required rest assured that they will make publicity out of it forcing others to go that way .
One thing is for sure all you can eat internet over the networks will mean hefty price rises .

It could happen however, but it would need a lot more than the people on XDA to sign it, needs every person that has signed it to get their friends and family to sign it, and then their friends and family...... and so on....
But all i meant was power of speech can do good things. But TBH unless this gets millions of signatures, i think it will end up in the recycle bin.
I have a question to all you guys! All you have some publishing campaign in your games, maybe it can be admob/startapp/chartboost etc...But did anybody create an advertising campaign in those ad networks with (CPI) model? I suppose it shoud work, coz you directly buy users, and if you have a good app, and monetizetion works well, why not? You should have a profit...
P.S.: in my plans, spend approximetly 100$ on Chartboost CPI advertising campaign, only for Italy region (not so hard market and competition) and with minimal bid 0.5$/install. I am interesting in what CTR i will get in purchase (100$ = 200 installs = ?inn-app purchase)

You are right to spend on CPI to increase your user base by promoting your app via CPI campaign( as every inorganic install gets you an organic install - Statistically) but i think the CPC rates in Italy is, on average, $0.05 and optimistically taking a 2% conversion would give you a CPI rate of at least $1-$2 . You should then weight if you have enough conversions at your end to see if you break even or make profi from the spends. I would suggest , if you have multiple games - try cross promoting your app on your own inventory. Take about 30% of your own inventory and sacrifice the ad revenue from it for your CPI campaigns . You can then calculate the revenue from your games downloads vs your ad revenue loss. If you need any more clarification/help , please write to me on [email protected]

It provides Mediation which would select best ads among other networks such as AdMob,StartApp,MobFox...to ensure the highest eCPM and best fill rate,additionally,it offers weekly payment.
