Stuck at LG logo screen (LS980) - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So after a huge screw-up I got my phone to get to the LG logo screen. I wiped everything on it but was able to flash the stock recovery partition and the aboot.img and boot.img in fastboot mode (which I was stuck in for the longest time).
Now I can't get into recovery, or download mode whatsoever.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Well the problem with this is I can't get back into fastboot mode
If it it helps at all my laptop recognizes it being plugged in when on the lg logo screen.

Ouch. Like i wrote to you in the other thread:"fastboot was good"

Yeah, I completely regret my decision to type "fastboot reboot". I had previously flashed the laf.img too. I feel like my only option is to take it to a sprint repair center and play dumb and see if they can fix/replace it.

Must have been the wrong version then.
Then try 4.2.2 + root + twrp + custom rom.

have you tried connecting it to your pc via linux? since it doesn't need usb drivers to connect, you may be able to flash recovery via terminal then.

Motorola Defy XT: So what does it mean when this is the only screen your rooted Defy XT can make??? Once i turn it on this the first and only thing that appears on the screen but after a few min. my phone starts being a phone and everything, well at least making all the sounds it used to and receiving messages still, but the screen is kaput. Is my phone Bricked for good? or is there anything I can do? Please someone help!!! :crying:
Did this happen after rooting or anything else
If you have cwm then find your rom And flash it
If you don't have cwm and you have enabled USB debugging then flash it via adb
If you are able to get in recovery mode then your phone is not bricked. It's just a system crash
Did you flash any zip from pimp my rom then flash the rescue package
By the way just stay cool. It will only take not more than a week or two to know the cause and repair it

Hey thanks for the response!
I've actually only just rooted my phone. I haven't put any rom on it. It is still running the factory gb on it. Only rooted it so that I could run a screen shot app on it, and was probably eventually going to rom it once I became a little more knowledgeable about doing so. But everything was working fine with the phone after rooting it, for about 2 weeks even, but yesterday I just pulled out my pocket after coming out of the grocery store, clicked it to unlock it and there was that screen. Tried everything to get rid of it, took the battery out, plugged it in the wall, my computer. Nothing. Weird thing is though, after 5 min of being on, it will continue being the phone that it is, making all its regular sounds and receiving messages and notifications, just with that pixelated screen, which leads me to believe that it might be a hardware/bios problem, or if phones even have bios. This is my first smart phone so I'm just really starting to get to know it. Again, appreciate all help given! Just bummed this phone I've had for a month has already crashed on me.

Howdy all!
Did you install TWRP and then take the OTA, now you can't get your phone to boot normally, but you do see TWRP?
Here's the easy fix:
If you have ADB access, plug in your phone and run this:
Then you should be able to successfully reboot your phone via the TWRP menu option, or via a simple reboot command in adb.
If you DONT have ADB access (because of an early build of TWRP), you can simply use TWRP's awesome "terminal command" option to run the following:
You'll have to type that whole thing out, and be VERY careful with spaces and punctuation. One wrong letter and you could nuke your phone.
After that finishes, you can reboot and continue on your happy way!
Let me know if this helps anyone!
As usual, I'm on #lg-g2 in Freenode as IOMonster, if I'm around I'll be happy to help wherever I can.

try holding the power buttons for ten seconds or more if it boots into twrp and then just reflash your rom?

I screwed my phone too the day after I got lol but no worries its easy to fix. You just need to download a stock ROM and flash it, you don't even lose any data.

As usual, DEB left behind!.
I flashed, tried dirty no go, stuck in forever animation. wiped and reflashed. Its booted setting up now.
Build number: LPV79
boot.img is different to KTU84P
bootloader is identical to KTU84P
system & userdata files... have a guess
Just fastboot flashed the image onto my N7 without erasing userdata, appears to be boot-looping as previously mentioned in this thread.

Judging by the experiences of others in the thread so far, don't expect to be able to flash this over 4.4.4 without ending up in a boot-loop; so just backup your data and use the factory image.

Just completed flashing System Image.
Initially Stuck at boot animation for 5 minutes.
Powered off tablet by holding power button. and powered on successfully booted
Installing apps now. but i am seeing some lags even when accessing play store
Just used the flash-all.bat through fastboot and it worked perfectly. If you dont have the PATH variables set up it wont work but the commands you need if you place the bootloader.img and the image.zip in your platform-tools folder are:
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-flo-flo-04.02.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot -w update image-razor-lpv79.zip
Took awhile to start up but it was all fine. running it through the paces now.
This will wipe userdata as well, just as an FYI.

Flashable zip would be nice for us using multirom.
I flashed it. I thought it might have bootlooped, so I left it for a while just in case and it booted fine. Is the circle key supposed to be home as it's broken on my dirty flash?

charging issue

my htc u ultra will charge with the computer but not with any wall plug or other cable
Not even with its box charger?
nope it will only charge with the computer i tried to redtore it with twrp but just got bootloop so i went back to custom rom as the repair shop dont even know whats going on and also htc service center wont help at all
Maybe ita a rom problem, get the stock one.
i tried to restore my restore from twrp but got bootloop so i went back to twrp then flashed the leedroid rom and its working with the new charger but there was no info anywhere about this issue i must be the first one to have this issue
Die you try different cables?
My original charger+cable can only fast charge in one direction, if I rotate the USB c plug by 180 degrees, it only charges damn slow (a couple of hours from 40% to full).
But the only-pc charge thing sounds very strange to me
i didnt think that a changing it back to stock and back to leedroid would have helped but i did try the new cable and wall brick first that didnt work
Alright.. maybe you were using an old firmware that needed an update? I've really no idea, though
It now chargers but it don't fast charge at all the phones 40 days old
Try stock rom, go for oreo, its down on the forum.
