Can anyone tell me if the Galaxy S5 Verizon developer edition will be able to take general GS5 ROMs (AOKP, Omni, CM) and:
1. Still work on Verizon network?
2. Remain unlocked?
Thanks!
Flashing a rom will not somehow lock the bootloader. I'm pretty sure they'll need to be ported to Verizon to work fully.

Are there any Custom Roms available for the Verizon Galaxy S5 G900V? If not, are there going to be any coming out in the near future?

I am on att and want to buy S4 . But the new phones that are being given out seems to be booloader locked. I want a device that I can install roms of my choice.
Can some one answer some of the questions I have, please ?
1- Is s4 fully compatible with ATT Lte bands ? ( Seems there are few mods to be done to get it right. Am I right ? )
2- Are ASOP based S4 roms for international version compatible with S4 GE ?
3-Are TW based S4 roms for international version compatible with S4 GE ?
4- Or Can I find an ATT version that is bootloader unlocked ?
Thanks
AP
I can only answer 1 and 2. Works fine with ATT. There is no bootloader unlock for the ATT S4, however, if you can find one with MBD or MDL firmware you can bypass it with Loki to install custom ROMs.

Bootloader Unlocked Version
To answer #4, there is a developer version available from AT&T. Outright price as is G-i9505G.
It will have Touchwiz and all Samsung bloatware where GE version has what appears (UI) to be AOSP and is already on 4.3.
What exactly is KLTE? I spoke with my wallet and purchased a S5 developer phone on Verizon hoping for some AOSP / CM love.
In the Verizon S5 forum, it's all TW roms. The good stuff is in the S5 unified forums, and the compatible phones need to be KLTE. Can I get some of the good stuff? Is my phone KLTE? Thanks in advance.
KLTE is the board (hardware) designator. Unlike the various S3/S4 IDs, all of the Qualcomm S5's are KLTE. Your Verizon developer model i.e. ET-G900V is actually a SM-G900V if you peeked under the label. It has just had it's firmware modified e.g. aboot signed with the device key, unlocked bootloader. And yes, a KLTE.
I don't know about ASOP /CM.. you're probably fine there. But don't expect official Samsung updates for the developer models. They are infamous for not having timely updates. Nor should you expect to follow the stock firmware path. But yes, an unlocked bootloader & KLTE and yes to custom ROMs, etc.
Enjoy
.
Ive had the S5 since October and i just got around to rooting the Verizon version and putting safestrap on it i know there is rom for the verizon Galaxy S5 but my question is will there ever be a bootloader unlock method for the verizon and at&t versions of the S5 any thoughts because i dont feel safe flashing a rom on a locked bootloader i had a droid razr m before this phone i had the bootloader unlocked and was running cm11 i just wish i could flash a well know rom on my Galaxy S5
Most likely not. Verizon do sell a dev version of the phone with an unlocked bootloader and it's got CM thanks to albinoman and ktoonsez

if ur not comfortable flashing roms on a locked BL (is safer) than buy a dev ed s5 or another device thats unlocked or just stay stock lol

KLTE is the developer edition of the S5 for Verizon, not the retail version. Developer edition was only available for purchase from Samsung. If you purchased your phone from Verizon it is the retail version and not the developer edition.

Thank you. This is too bad
I bought it from some dude. I don't think so he bought it from Samsung directly.
I guess there is no chance then..
Is there someone working on unlocking the bootloader on Verizon phones ? Or should I just sell my phone ? I love flashing, this is nightmare.

If this is a nightmare for you, you need to check your priorities. No one is "working on" bootloader unlock because there's nothing to "work on." It's not ROM development...
Is it really a Verizon if that's the cause I know the bootloader would be locked.
But is it possible to root and install custom rom's on the TracFone variant?
Also does the keyboard cover case work with vanilla aosp type rom's or only samsung versions?
