My mom just bought the AT&T Variant of the SGS5. I have a Tmo Galaxy Note 2 on 4.4.2 Using S5 features.
Heres the dilemma (pardon my ignorance on the issue)
I tried sending her an E-Postcard that my family took at a kiosk at The Linq in Las Vegas (it gives an option to email the e-postcard. I emailed the e-postcard to myself, saved it to my Note2 then text her the pic) anyway....
I asked her if she got the pic and she said she was given a link to the pic but when pressing the link it comes up with a blank web page.
Just wondering if there is a setting I need to have her change ao it wont happen anymore.
TIA

Hi,
I'm using a Sim Free Touch Diamond 2 on T-Mobile UK. Got a strange problem going on at the moment.
When someone sends me an SMS (From any network T-Mobile, Orange, O2 etc). I usually get the MMS with the picture downloaded within a couple of minutes. I can view this on the phone as you would expect. BUT, two days later I will then receive a TXT from T-Mobile saying that someone has send me a MMS, please go to http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/pmcollect - When I go and login the same picture message is waiting for me...?
Anyone else had this problem? Strange thing is that this only appears to have started happening since I returned from a trip to europe.
I've tried T-Mobile customer service - all they can suggest is that this is probably a setting on the handset....
Can anyone help or throw any light on this?
Cheers,
A.
Hi
I am having the same problem.and also experiancing sms coming through late or not at all. however i actualy work for T-Mobile.. and know its not a problem with the D2..it is more likely network issues. but am not aware of any issues..i will speak to technical next time i can and will let you know what they say..i is starting to bug me as well but it is some thing that started for me back in June and i was using my D1 at the time..
Hi there,
I have a similar problem.
When I receive a MMS I only get a sms/text notification saying that I have received a MMS and that I have to go to the t-mobile website. I can't view the mms on my phone.
Is this because I need to install a program to view the MMS?
I am able to send MMS, I just sent a MMS to myself and I received it without a problem, but as a sms/text message, not the MMS itself.
Really annoying!
Hoping to get an answer.
Cheers!
It sound like a problem with your settings...
Go to the t-mobile website :
http://support.t-mobile.co.uk/help-and-support/index?page=home&cat=SOFTWAREDOWNLOADS
and send the settings to the phone once installed do a soft reset.
you should install both MMS and internet settings...
if this still doesnt work then you may have to try setting them up manualy ..
Heres a link to the manual on how to do it and the settings you need:
http://support.t-mobile.co.uk/help-and-support/index?page=selectphone&phone=HA176
if that still doesnt work you will need to call customer service there maybe a problem with the settings on your account. tell them you have done the above steps cos they will want to do them again with you and if you get someone in the phillipines this not a easy task.. they should transfer you to technical support and they will sort it..
any more problems just ask as i have worked for T-Mobile for nearly 4 years..
Thank you!!
It worked!! Thank you very much!
The first option didn't work as I have a dutch number. I did try to send the mms options to my phone via the dutch t-mobile site but they don't have the settings yet for this phone!
I then googled for "t-mobile mms instellingen" (settings) and I found them. Did it manually and now it works like a charm.
For the dutch people interested, here is the site with the settings:
https://www.t-mobile.nl/persoonlijk...lgestelde-vragen.aspx?q=algemene instellingen
Thanks for pointing me in that direction!!
Cheers!
You normally get that text about going to the website to get your MMS when the network thinks your phones not MMS compatible or you don't have MMS messaging live on your acc.
Hi sorry only just getting back..
managed to speak to technical and what they said is they need 5 examples.
date time number and postcode of area you where in.
so they can raise the problem and get your mms profile reset and should then be fine.
I just noticed that when I try to send an MMS, it says it compresses the message but even after compressing it still says the size was something like 964KB for one specific test image - far beyond the 600KB AT&T officially supports. And then when I try to send I get a spinning circle for a while and eventually an alert that the message has failed.
I checked with my friend who also ordered the S4 and he said he also has the spinning circle.
So, anyone else noticed this and got a fix yet?

No I've sent two pictures so far today. Both to iPhones. One, my sisters, also AT&T, and another on Virgin mobile. Both pictures sent fast and in good quality.
Check mms settings and see if there's a send size limit setting
Sent from my GT-N5110 using xda app-developers app
I used the faster APN "ATT Test 5" and it messed up my MMS messaging. I changed it back to "proxy.mobile.att.net" instead of the IP in the thread and it was fixed.
But if you didn't use any different APN then I don't know whats making your phone behave like that.
Sent from my Galaxy S4

what are the settings for the ATT Test 5? I have been having issues trying to get my MMS to send for over a week now. Tried several APN settings and nothing has worked so far.
I just got my Sprint s5, I came from T-Mobile. For some reason I cannot send a picture Via text. Is this not available on Sprint? If it is, how do I configure it...????
I just switched from a Verizon note 3 to a sprint note 3 and noticed there is not group messaging option that will send separate message to others. usually there would be a check mark that says group conversation and you can uncheck that to send the same txt message to multiple people without them seeing it. I figured I would tri the S5 Moar port but I cannot get Wifi calling to work on it and its a necessity but it has the type of messaging app I need can someone please help me. I am currently on Vision X rom

go to messages-setting-sms/mms untick group messaging. done
here is a screenshot I am talking about
Here is a screen shot of what I am talking about. Do you see how there is a check box that says group conversation. This check box was available on the Verizon version of the Note 3 I had but not on the Sprint version. I tried to use the apk from the galaxy S5 but then I had a lot of errors with MMS in general and not being able to send pictures also no one can send or receive over wifi at all. If someone could please help.

can anyone tell me how to please get this check mark in the normal app? I would appreciate it?
I have a 100% stock Verizon Note 3. My service is with AT&T, I put my AT&T SIM and set my Note 3 to "global" in network settings and added a new APN for at&t. My talk/text/data is all working. However, my MMS is not working. I can receive MMS perfectly fine, however on sending it just sits there with the circle spinning.
Any idea how to fix this?
EDIT: sorry, I put this in the wrong section, please move to "Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting"

I think your issue is the messaging apk. If you are positive that your apn is correct then try a 3rd party messaging app. Or if you're bored swap the apk for the atnt version.
They were hiding apn in the messaging apk for awhile there. Not sure if they still are or not.

I have the same issue with my Verizon Note 3. Solved it by turning off WiFi when I need to send MMS. Works every time, but I have no idea why WiFi causes the issue. Have seen this listed as a problem in multiple threads.
I did some testing and for my situation it relates to the size of the MMS. It seems like anything past the ~1000kb size will not send, it will just hang with the spinning circle. When I add a picture in the messaging app to send, the Note 3 will compress the image, but sometimes not below 1000kb, often times it compresses it to 1100-1200kb, so this will not send.
Im not sure if AT&T and Verizon have different size limits on MMS? maybe Verizon allows 1200kb and AT&T only allows 1000kb. I couldn't track down a AT&T secmms.apk to try it. Instead of tinkering around for some more hours, just switched to Textra.
