Hey guys, I am starting this thread to let people share their view about the cm10 nightly battery life and ways to improve that. I get 16h of battery with 3h screen on time and some wifi and texting But the cell radio consumes 35% battery I dont know how to fix this. Can someone come up with a fix for this?
Battery
Install Ds Battery saver and turn it onto Aggressive. It will definitly increase your battery time whith 30-40%

I have the following build.prop parameter included...seeems to make a little difference...
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=1
pm.sleep_mode=1
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=120
also i use "die_hard battery" script to calibrate my battery ..if running the script try the "NOBOL Technique"... it works fine for my and gives my an extra of 3% battery on top.. it´s not really amazing but better then nothing
check background processes .. delete everything you don´t need from autostart..also there might be some system apps you don´t use ..which can also be deleted. I have done this with titanium backup...
with this i have 11 user processes running whihc are really necessary for me ..and battery life around 24 - 30 hours ..depending on how heavily used my phone
Don´t forget to create a cwm backup before change something !!!

Hi everyone, I'm currently on CloudyG3 and i wanted to know how to get better battery life. I'm using Eco mode, Greenify, 2x Battery utility and still im getting only 4h SOT. I've seen people on older versions with 7h SOT. Does anybody knows how can i maximize my battery life? Thanks in advance

Turn off google now, syncs, and uninstall facebook. That's what did the trick for me. Also, location settings to off.
Google search (velvet.apk) always eats my battery. So i always delete.
Start with wakelocks and everything automated like syncing and such... After that make sure nothing is getting in the way of screen off battery consumption... From there Basically ur looking for longer screen on times which really has to do with your type of usage... (I can play games while listening to music and get a max screen on time of 2hours or I can read forums check mail..( do stuff that's not cpu/gpu intensive) and hit 6~7 hours screen on time)) Remember those high screen on times are for test purpose and not daily use (unless u really hardly use ur smartphone as 1 )...
Step1. Turn screen brightness to sub 0 value using something like lux auto brightness.. Screen brightness is ur 1st enemy.. control the minimum comfortable brightness u need and that alone will give u an hour or so extra of screen on time... Next is apps running and cpu freq (control what's running and how long u stay on high freqs~ the longer u stay there the more battery u use up..)
... Clear memory when uve used many apps during the day( some tend to stick around when not needed and use battery~ make sure greenify does its job)
Find a good profile for usage between freqs~cores online~ this will introduce lag but nothing too crazy if ur willing to squeeze every last drop of juice

One days ago android system consumes 75% but i open airplane mode i remove battery and remain one minute. I insert the battery and boot my phone... and i remain 10 minutes and i close airplane mode...
Touchwiz restarts immediately and phone says welcome to Samsung! Popup

Hi everyone, I'm a new user and I'm looking for a rom to help my phone with battery power. I was looking for an optimized and specific rom to optimize battery life. I can't post in the ROM section I hope you can help me.
Thank you so much.
Depending what stock firmware/software you're on rn, choose the right custom ROM, and then maybe use a custom kernel like ThunderStorm Kernel. Supposed to be a battery saver kernel, haven't tested just yet myself
Use a stock based ROM and a kernel that underckocks. AOSP and other ports will not be as efficient with battery in general. Lower clock speed generally improves battery life although keep "race to idle" in mind. Ur ROM and kernel are not the only things that affect battery life. Apps like nap time, Greenify, force doze, sysconfig patcher (for Magisk) can improve standby battery drain whilst having a dark mode/theme can help with screen on battery drain. Having better reception can improve battery life. If you don't use WiFi, Bluetooth or location then having them off can improve battery drain. Background apps/ bloatware can drain battery so limiting background apps/ removing bloat can help. Disabling notifications for apps u don't need them for can help. If u don't like using ur phone as a phone then I know alot of XDA members use airplane mode intermittently. This is just the tip of the iceberg and you'll need to comb through XDA to get more details. There are a few posts dedicated to battery saving too. Keep in mind that some of these strategies can affect functioning of your phone and it's all a balancing act between function and battery. My philosophy is to make my phone not waste any battery while still keeping all the functionality I use. Good luck.
