I'm running Timur's USBROM on my Nexus 7 with a Behringer UCA202 feeding through the auxiliary input in my car.
I'm finding the the volume level is lower than the other audio sources (CD player, radio). Is there a way to increase the strength of the signal or is my only option a line driver between the DAC and amplifier?
Thanks
Did you turn up the volume dial on the DAC? It's on the side
Just curious, say you've set the volume level of your car at a certain level. Then you set up your 2015 X to stream music to the car. How loud is that compared to plugging your phone's headphone output to the car's AUX input, without changing the car's speaker volume?
From my experience itsbvirtually the same. Although my Bluetooth dongle just broke andbi ordered an in car dlna setup to replace it instead so I can't test itbnow
Hi all-
I'm using this usb type C to usb connector inside my audi for playing music off of the Nexus 6p through the car's Android Auto:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010VFFSL4/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I specifically got this one since it meets USB-C spec as many cables out there that boast high transfer rates can ruin your equipment. I'm using the latest WETA ROM and have tried a myriad of combinations by turning off/on Viper mod, configuring its settings, also tuning the eq in my car, etc.
What's weird is that music over bluetooth sounds like much better quality than wired with this USB type C connection. I got an awesome aftermarket sub and amp installed in the car but it seems to bring out the deeper issue. It's when music (mainly rock) has all instrumentals blending that the sound becomes distorted and overloaded. Because our phones already have poor max volume output, I'm having to max out the volume in the car. Also with android auto, you can't use the volume rockers on the phone it seems...seems to override the sound volume.
Anyone have any idea? In this car I can't seem to play music with aux cable (maybe an iPhone would work) and USB stick doesn't mount songs. Don't know if it's the cable I bought, the ROM (has the A.R.I.S.E. mod built in), or the DAC in the AUDI?
Thanks
I'm able to connect my JBL Clip 2 and Avantree Clipper. When adjust the volume on the bluetooth headset or speaker, the volume scale doesn't appear on the LG G6. Anyone, has this issue? I have the H870DS.
Because you're adjusting the devices volume not the phones media volume that it's sending to the device they are truly separately controlled. Same with using a 3.5mm to plug into car. You control both volumes separately
Hello
I had a question about the HiFi Dac.
My M50X is low impedance (30s) so it only activates "Normal audio device" when i enable HiFi Audio
but, if i disconnect the cable from my headphone and only plug the cable into the phone, it turns on "External Audio Device" setting of the HiFi Dac instead of saying "normal audio device" and is definitely louder!
Is there any difference between this external audio device (aux) mode and High Impedance mode?
