Edited : The Sims 3 HD download file :
Here, the Sims 3 HD of my Xperia X10.
I have backup it with Titanium Backup.
So you must download and install Titanium Backup before you can install+play The Sims 3 HD.
Titanium Backup can be found on the Market (rooted required)
Here the link of The Sims 3 HD : NO WAREZ
After you download it, you must extract the content of your downloaded file to sd card:/TitaniumBackup folder (if not found it, you can create a folder with name "TitaniumBackup" on your sd card)
Then, go to Titanium Backup app, and then restore The Sims 3 from Backup/Restore tab.

I found it on PlayNow, logon with my account, and "NFS Shift" in HD category/latest (rooted version X10 - R2BA023 Generic)

I am using 023 but I guess since I live in Canada I always get short handed...

Just search gamelofts smartphone site its prob there,or just google the apk you want and install. No play now needed

PSP is so much better. For example: Persona 3! All the TALES of games on PSP.

I have playnow... I have had it since I first got my phone and when I updated it to 020. =/

Same here, but I only have like 7 apps in mine like wayfinder and nimbuzz (has FB chat unlike im+) along with some craptastic games...

I have it on my Rogers x10 but limited games and apps just don't make the mistake that I just did and update cuz I lost all access to mediascape so I guess I'll have to reroot my phone to get of back in working order fml! Unless any know of another app that I can use in place of mediascape to view photos and change my wallpaper?

I have Sony PS 1, PlayStation 2, X-Box, Sony PSP, and Nintendo DSi too, but in same case.. like NFS Shift
I just compare NFS Shift PSP game and NFS Shift ANdroid game, so i have a conclussion that NFS Shift Android game is better than NFS Shift PSP game.
I love play Dissidia, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Prince of Persia, PES 2010 on my PSP too

when i try to install nfs shift my phone say's free up some space on your phone and try again
but my memory card still got 6gb

may i knw how much nfs costs??????

Nfs shift you must download frim playnow, no illegal versions. Everbody with playnow issues google for playnow.apk

Have you even tried the games on X10 ? It doensnt need MT, so plx go somewhere else with your bad attitude. And btw, get a PC. PsP is only for pocketplaying.....

As i wrote to the other dude, real gaming isnt PsP. Where the hell did you get that ? Have you ever tried to play any deacent games on 24" screens with hardware that support that on a real playing machine... a PC.

It does support some of the same games like Asphalt and Angry birds
but in general Android isnt ripe for gaming yet

It doesn't have too many games yet, but there are quite a few good ones. Android development does seem to be accelerating actually.
One engine which might be popular in the future (ID rage) has been ported to iPhone but carmack isn't committed to porting to Android yet, so it's hard to know what the future is like, but Android is getting pretty cool

Mostly.. If Carmack does finish rage for Android though, that will be cool.

There are plently of top games on android and many play better then an iphone (3gs 4g is fine).
These are the main games I have on my galaxy S at the moment, they all play perfect and some are very good graphics. And this is only a few of the 100s of games available for Android....

Asphalt5 - Galaxy Freebie, a 3D racer with high frame rate and good graphics
Angry Birds - Free from Market, a good puzzle game, the object is to kill pigs with a variety of birds shot from a catapult
Tiki Tower - Free from Devs website, a puzzle games the object is to get all the Monkeys from A to B whilst collecting all the bananas
Real Football - £3 from Gameloft, A footbal sim what more can I say
Hexen II - Free supports full controls (must own full game for pak files), plays just like the original on the pc though controls can be tricky
Guitar Hero World Tour - Can't remember where I got this from, only supports 3 frets and seems to want to download each song as and when you play it but does play ok.
Heroes of Sparta - £3 from Gameloft, very good 3D adventure game big swords and lots of blood
PapaStacker - Free from Market, the object of the game is to stack blocks of various shapes, and sizes and the stack must balance before the time runs out to progress
Zenonia - Fairly cheap from Market, an RPG game but I haven't given it a proper whirl yet
Avatar - £3 from Gameloft, 3D game with little simularity to the movie
Snesoid - Get your roms out plays all, use the lite version save your money
Gameboid - Again use lite version
Dungeon Hunter - £3 from Gameloft, and RPG based on lvling a character of your choice with XP, weapons, items etc one of my fav games atm
Kwaak3 - Quake3 Arena, still working on getting BT keyboard working with this, but the game itself plays very well
PSX Emu - Playing Final Fantasy VIII on this atm works perfect.
Sandstorm - £3 from Gameloft, this is a "COD" fps style game.

I agree, Its not up to our system as if you look very closely iphone 4 and sgs almost share the exact hardware. Their A8 cortex cpu is actualy a hummingbird cpu with minor changes being ours is just a little more powerful (just a little) and Samsung actualy builds the cpu for appl

OP: Emexrulsier has covered most of the good stuff, but there are some more like Fruit Ninja, Abduction 1 & 2 and a few more games from Gameloft.
The games run just as well or in some cases better than on the iPhone (e.g. Fruit Ninja works a lot better on my Galaxy S compared to my iPhone 3G).

from some forum they have some tutorial teach that
changing the build.prop( in the system) into htc desire HD/ Z
can play those gameloft HD game,
but i change the build.prop, then restart a few time,
why my about phone there the still model still is ideos x5?
how can i change it into htc desire hd o Z to play those HD game?

This actually works. I had problems only with Settlers HD, now that i modified build.prop, even settlers work. Maybe it also has something to do with installing Chainfire 3D which installs aditional graphic libraries including those for Tegra 2 and PowerVR.
Find Chainfire 3D on market (free) amd remember to find and install plugins too.

It can be, depends on settings. And if framerate is low, you can lower texture quality, and gain fps Chainfire 3D is excellent app (and you can play Tegra games)

so in order to play HD games from Gameloft, you have to root your device?
I've bought Shadow Guardian HD and it seems that Ideos X5 is not listed at all in Gameloft's site, so I used HTC Desire Z to purchase.
But still game installs and runs but doesnt download furthermore (shows error message)
That means that you c a n ' t run original games from Gameloft on X5 y e t..??

I was able to run Real Football 2011, GT Racing HD, Lets Golf, Gangstar Miami Vindication from GameLoft without rooting device, and changing build.prop , ive only had problems with Settlers HD.

OK, Gameloft site sucks..
Although under HD games, you can find our device listed, when you click to receive an SMS with a link to download your game you get this message:

Therefore, Gameloft doesnt support Ideos X5 yet.

If your phone is rooted try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13175477&postcount=2 to fake gameloft.

I was on Gameloft's website the other day and saw the U8800 listed. So Gameloft is starting to support the X5. I think the game I was looking under was Dungeon Hunter 2.
Also, on Goapk, they have a thread with downloadable modified build.prop. They have a B158, B160, and SP16 version.

not all games from [email protected] can be played
but some of them can be played without any modification
for example the game @[email protected]@r runs perfectly on ideos x5
also the game [email protected] ( the one with aeroplane ) runs too
the [email protected] HOS (Hero of sparta ) did not run

I just can't get Settler HD to work on my U8800...
Whenever I start it, it needs to download additional data (about 200 MB). After downloading about 75%, the screen becomes black and the phone reboots itself. Changing the build.prop didn't help either...
Also, Cut the Rope doesn't work for me. I can see the cardbox background for about 2 sec. when i start the game, then it crashes.

it's Gameloft and HTC conspiracy against china!? Or against poor/smart people? They think: "if they can't afford hi-end phone-then they for sure uses cracked version, so don't run on those Chinese phones"

15 years and it was the Xperia play that helped me

After 15 years of trying i have never completed Mario 64.
Since i got my play in April i have been playing Mario 64 on N64oid on and off at dinner times at work. Today was the day i finally completed it and i want to share the news with the world.
Xperia play is the best for this very reason!

The MegaDrive one. The good ending takes its fair time, as you have to collect the six (yes, they were six back then) Chaos Emeralds.
Games which are still in my list, but not feasible right now (lack of time):
ICO- PS2, Skies of Arcadia-DC, Vagrant Story-PSX.

Did you collect the 120 stars?

Skies of arcadia on the DC was an epic game. One of the best rpg's ever

I had a demo disc of SoA back then when I had the DC. I played so much with it that one day I spent one afternoon reaching level 20, killing mooks before facing the first boss battle (after which the demo ended). The boss battle was like any mook by then That's how freaking great that game is.

The boss battle on the pirate ship at the start? How on earth did you get to level 20 before then. The game is enormous, each disk is the size of a decent lenth rpg

Zelda: Ocarina of Time
I was SOOOOOO in love with this game when I was in my teens
I actually swapped my Arc for a Play just so I could play it again with a proper gamepad

20yrs on and I still cant finish Rygar, that game is impossible man!

Just as the title says, what do you think would be a great game or games to have on this phone, but try to be realistic, for example, don't say Mass Effect 3 or anything of that sort, that's what OnLive is for. I'll go first.
I think Grandia 2 would be a great game to have on the Play, it was originally for the Dreamcast. It even looks like it could be an Android title in the first place IMO.

I love Grandia 2. I still play it on my dreamcast and I have all the grandia games. Ps1 Francis, Sega Saturn grandia. Grandia 2 for DC and PS2. Grandia xtreme grandia 3. I would not mind seeing Albert Odyssey from the Sega Saturn on the xperia play. Not the best graphics but great story.

Precisely Grandia, like other turn-based RPG or strategy game, is the kind of game that I wouldn't mind seeing in any Android phone, but which wouldn't fully use the virtues of the gamepad. In fact I think those kinds of games which don't require reflexes or speed of mashing buttons are better suited for the touchscreen, provided that you solve the issue of moving the characters. Games like Final Fantasy Tactics would be very nice to see properly ported to an Android phone.
A good fighter (that excludes that abortion called Fight Game Heroes which came about some time ago) is something we're sorely lacking, and which would use it. The Soul Calibur series would be legendary, a dream come true.

I think we miss open world rpgs in the vein of Elder Scrolls. I mean, sure you can play ultima underworld on andosbox... but it's not quite the same thing. (did anyone try dosbox turbo?)

We have it. I play it with fpse and it's fantastic. It doesn't need analogs anyway.

I know, I just mean that the game should be officially released on the android store. With Maria and the extra levels included as well as being able to switch between the original and new voice acting...*drools*

I decided to look back on this topic.
I would love to have Doom 3 on the Android. That would be sweet. The requirements aren't even high at all (may need an OC'd Play since 1.5GHz is the minimum). The demo was also released for Linux, yet it was most likely closed source so that wouldn't work. Just a cool thought.
