[Q] I Broked LG Optimus L5 II with uninstalling busybox??!! - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Phone: LG Optimus L5 II (E460)
Hi!
I have a big problem. I have rooted my phone with VRoot tool. Then, i wanted to install some "hacking" apps like dSploit, Wifi kill, ROM Manager, etc. I installed the BusyBox. But a realised the normal install is not enough. So, was thinking a should install more applets which a thought they are needed for those apps (killall - dSlpoit). I decided to first uninstall BusyBox from my phone and then install it with advanced install. So i tried to uninstall it with BusyBox Pro. It thought that it partially succeed, but there were some errors. When i closed the app and tried to install it with normall BusyBox installer. It force closed. In BusyBox Pro, it said that i don't have rroted phone. But i rooted it!!! AND THEN, i checked the root access with Root Checker Basic. And it said, you dont have root access!!!! But, before the uninstall it said, you have root access! And then i figured out, that i can't conect too any wifi and the phone is VERY slow. I don't know what happened and i tried wiping all data on phone, but it's now the same and i can't install any apps from playstore. Please help, i nearly can't to anything whitout wifi!
I hope you know the answer...
btw,i tried to root it again with VRoot, but it didn't worked.
sorry for my bad english

CM 7.2 Superuser unable to grant root

On an old Sprint Hero with stock 2.1 Sense ROM, I recently rooted, wiped and installed CM 7.2. At first, Superuser was working and I was able to restore things like old SMS. However, after a day, Superuser is no longer able to grant root access to things like Titanium Backup or even itself. I tend to get a force close for Superuser when trying to elevate. I've tried downgrading the Superuser APK to the version that came with CM 7.2 (I had upgraded it). I've also tried booting into recovery to replace the binary su. Neither option works.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a way around it?
Try installing busybox from the play store also try updating the app from within the app if you haven't already

The problem was solved by downgrading both the Superuser APK and the binary file. I have root access again. For some reason Superuser 3.1 and the 3.1.1 binary weren't behaving.
Glad you got the problem solved.

Help, Kingroot Tab 4 SM-T530NU, Cant Re_Install Kingroot after accidental uninstall

I downloaded Kingroot today, ran it & achieved ROOT. SUCESS! If I had only stopped their. I downloaded Rootchecker Pro & it said I had Root. Great. Then I uninstalled Kingroot & installed SU from the play store. SU tried to update the Binary & failed over & over, reboot, failed over & over. THEN I did some reading & realized you cant delete Kingroot. I figured I could just re-download & re-install it & get ROOT again. During the process Google Security popped up over & over & I accidentely clicked Enable. Kingroot said it was installed but at the end of the apk Process where it usually says "DONE" or "OPEN", Open is Grayed out I cant click it & Kingroot isnt installed. I cant get it to install now. Rootchecker now says Root is not Properly installed. I went in to Google Settings & turned off the App Security, I verified I have Allow Apps from Unknown Sources checked. I can NOT get Kingroot to re-install so I can have ROOT again. Any help will be much appreciated. Would a FDR allow me to re-download Kingroot & Install it? I dont want to FDR but I really dont want to do it if its not going to help me achieve ROOT. Thanks Jason T

How can i Update safely to android 6.0.1

Hello i have the samsung galaxy s5 neo (sm-g903f). It's currently rooted with android 5.1.1 and I wanted to ask if I can update my phone via smart switch without bricking it ???
Do I have to uninstall root before I update it with smart switch or do I have to do something else ?
Besides root I have also installed twrp recovery, a permissive kernel, viper4android, xposed framework and other things like that. Must I uninstall all these things or can I just plug in my phone and update it ?
I know that root and all the other things will be deleted after updating

Hi Emre67511
I've personally never used Smart Switch but it doesn't seems to place any impediments upon your requests.
Smart Switch will be active only after your update and, in your case, will be necessary to reinstall it as only S7 has it built into their ROMs.
You don't have to do nothing before updating and just reinstall what you need and is not yet present.
Depending on which ROM you are selecting to install, root and many other things will be restored during update process.
What I do:
1) I only sync with Google that will restore my contacts/photos/calendar/etc .
2) I have Titanium Backup to backup/restore my personal apps and their data as well as other system data needed.
The exact answer for your thread title is: READ! Read carefully what is recommended to perform the processes you are engaging and do as said.
Please advise if some doubts remain.
Have fun.
.
Thanks for your answer .
I used Smart switch and everything went fine. My phone is updated to the last version and I only have to install root again.
So if anyone else has the problem you can just use smart switch to update your phone to the newest version. You must only install root again and everything else is fine.
