Camera firmware update - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there. After flashing the last Stock ROM for Spain, I decided to check the camera firmware typing *#34971539#. As you can see on the screen shot, it seems that the current firmware of the camera is older than the one in the phone. Unfortunately, the "Phone to CAM FW Write" button is dark grey (not enabled).
On S3, you needed to download the concrete driver from Internet to enable the button.
I thought that the update of camera firmware was automatic on S5 (launching camera app after flashing a ROM with new drivers and rebooting), but it seems that it's not like that.
Does any of you know how to install the newest drivers for the camera in our devices?
Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I compared with S3 camera firmware screen, and there it doesn't appear the line "Load FW version", so I suppose that the update process is certainly automatic on S5.

Camera Coloured Lines

Has anyone seen this before?

It seems like as it tries to focus, these coloured lines flash about on the screen.
I bought the Note 3 from a company on eBay, so could look to return it, but could it be software related? I tried Camera Zoom FX and it doesn't look like it happens.
You can see it in recorded video too -
I had these lines before and I managed to fix by turning off the wifi while using the camera.
Second solution is changing the router channel to 6 or below.
After the latest OTA from samsung the lines just vanish. (MK2)

Hope it helps

Thanks, glad I'm not the only one...
Clear the data and cache for the camera
Turn off WiFi
Use another app.
Usually these three or a combination of them helps.

How to downgrade samsung system apps

hey guys i recently found out you can download s8 system apps to your s7edge such as the music app etc. however i have went too far and actually downloaded the apk file for the s8 camera onto my s7edge. I would be fine with it if works but it doesnt work and the camera force closes every time it comes up. I thought it would be logical to download the camera system app again for the version that works for the s7edge but when i download the apk it says the file isnt installed as the file is corrupt. Is there any fix to this such as downgrading the app or wiping my phone?
Here you go "uninstall updates"

Nova plus MLA-L02 new firmware

Hello, I was using firmware finder today and I found two new files for the MLA-L02 version of the nova plus

the first three on the bottom are all or current versions, but the two on the top are the new ones, if I choose one of those:
digging into each firmware, there's 4 files:
I download it using the phone firmware finder option and it downloads to here:
did someone knows how to install it from here? I think I should move it to the root folder and restart the phone but I'm not sure, can someone points me on how to do it?
thanks
if your device runs perfectly without ANY bugs, like theme manager not working from previous upgrades,
DONT DO IT
a lot of people that have upgraded via FF,ended with some defects in the firmware...
wait for OFFICIAL OTA

Camera Modes disappeared

Today I wanted to take a panorama and when I open the camera app I see only auto mode.
I tried clearing data and restarting but its still the same. On tapping the + icon on top right, galaxy app store opens and I see additional modes like beauty face, rear cam selfie etc but the ones that were preinstalled (panorama, pro, selective focus etc) aren't there. I'm running the latest update.
Build number: NRD90m.G950FXXU1AQI7
I really don't wish to do a factory reset unless it's the last resort.

No sound, no microphone on Galaxy S8 (SM-G950F)

Hello. For some time my Galaxy S8 (SM-G950F) remains silent. It also does not pick up any more sound. Does not play anymore.
After updating the firmware on G950FXXU3CRGH (latest official firmware from August 2018) - it could have been that it is because - there is still no sound from the smartphone.
Instead, the settings for volume barely work, is very slow. The volume switch responds just as the software over settings extremely slow and has no effect.
More often, the attempt to set ends with the message "System UI does not respond".
Starting in Safe Mode, clearing the cache or updating with CSC instead of HOME_CSC was unsuccessful.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?
Is there any way to test if the sound hardware works?
Greetings and thanks in advance for possible solutions ...
Ann
